Let's see if they are worthy because we've seen hyped tweets like this in the past to then end up with alright games and few indies. I'm hyped for Microsofts E3 though. Console reveal is going to be dope.

Good. I'm hoping for some bigger titles. Xbox One has really disappointed me this gen with it's exclusive output. Though I'm not a racing fan... if I were I'm sure I would've been happy as they have the best lineup for that.

The pedigree is there. The Microsoft sized budget is there. but without knowing the context as to what games are in development I couldn’t tell you. There are three that have my eye but I’m waiting to see what the newer devs have in store.

Well all the studios have ben bought over the last few months so you cant expect miracles or megatons. 'm sure you will take that into account though, and not show loads of faux outrage if we dont get 14 AAA games.

E3 is like Xmas in June, love it.
Too bad the companies are too cheap to put a show together. Guess you don't need to when you are already have a stranglehold on the market

If we're lucky we'l get 1 or 2 gems in the 14 they have to showcase. I'm just expecting a really hard bomb/letdown. Kinda seems to be the trend nowadays with conventions related to games from most big name companies anymore.

3. Mojang - Minecraft, ??
4. Ninja Theory - Bleeding Edge
5. Playground Games - Forza Horizon 4 Expansion 2, maybe Fable ??
6. Rare - Battletoads, Sea of Thieves DLC, ??
7. 343 - Halo Infinite, Reach, etc
8. inXile - Wasteland 3, ??
9. Obsidian Enterntainment - The Outer Worlds, ??
10. The Intitiative - ??
11. Turn 10 - Too early for FM8, perhaps some kind of ray tracing tech demo on FM7 ??
12. Undead Labs - State of Decay 2 DLC, ??
13. Xbox Global - AOE 4, ??
14. ??????? (New Studio)

- Not sure where Ori 2 or Cuphead DLC would fit

As much as I dont like any of those, there have been 1 of each only, across this entire generation.
Compare it to forza (4 without counting horizon), gears(3) and halo (2).

Doesn't bother me. If a game is good, then heck yes i want more of said game to be released. Microsoft doesn't get docked points by me for releasing games for their main franchises twice in one gen. In fact, that's what I prefer. I hate waiting on new Zelda and Metroid games. It's like pulling teeth hoping Nintendo will release a new one in any bearable amount of time. Halo, Forza, and Gears are all good games. They are Microsoft's bread and butter. It should surprise no one that MS continues to release them on a regular basis, just like Nintendo is always releasing mario and zelda games every gen.

Also, Halo 5 is the only mainline halo game we've gotten this gen, so really it's just one. Halo TMCC is a compliation of older games (happens to be my fav game this gen) and Halo Wars 2 is an RTS - a completely different genre.

Forza Horizon and Forza Motorsports are also different genres. One is a serious racing sim while the other more of an open-world arcade race game. Considering how long this gen has gone on, having 2 games released from a single franchise is not exactly overkill. Anyone that is complaining about a 3 year dev cycle for a game is just not a fan of games.

This gen started in 2013. We didn't get GoW 4 until 2016. Before that GoW 3 came out a distant 5 years before in 2011... and GoW 5 is going to come out at the end of 2019. A 3 year development cycle for a game is perfectly acceptable imo.

But no one seems to care that CoD comes out every year. In fact, I see a lot of excitement for each game. It's probably just because an xbox studio isn't behind the series...

I don't mean to downplay MS show but you guys remember last year E3 with 34 Xbox exclusive announcement or something that mounted to nothing, just temper your expectations

Yeah erm... look I get it, neoGaf is very anti MS and pro Sony. I get it.

But... come on, eh? You guys do this all the time, with the shifting goal posts. MS has no studios... they buy them... now they are bad for buying studios. MS never shows games at E3... they show them... then they are bad for showing too many games not exclusive. MS has no exclusives... they announce they will be showing 14... and now you moan that they likely won’t interest you.

I get it. Some people have an unhealthy obsession to their plastic box. It’s the same with anything that has fans. I know football fans who refuse to believe any other team can do well.

But I have a question...

Why the fuck are you posting in these threads? Every single one of them that has anything positive about Xbox, there are people moaning about how it’s not enough, or it’s too late, or that MS don’t care because they have pc games or whatever the hell new excuse it is this week.

Like... come the fuck on, grow up, eh? PlayStation has great games and something to offer. Xbox has great games and something to offer. Just enjoy the damn spectacle and be excited for all the cool stuff about to drop real damn soon.
