A "useful idiot" to Dick Cheney, more like.
America's actions on the world stage, whether knowingly malicious or not, often have negative consequences. E.g., a few years ago, there was a report of militias armed by the Pentagon fighting those armed by the CIA in Syria. A think tank found that around 60% of these "moderate" rebels were actually violent Salafi-jihadist extremists that sympathize with ISIS; remnants of Al-Qaeda, Al-Nusra, etc. Generally, the US is funding these terrorist groups through the proxy of Saudi Arabia. Through the same proxy, the US is indirectly funding and orchestrating the genocide in Yemen.
While causing all this death and destruction and, yes, terrorism, the Trump administration is trying to drive regime change in Iran and Venezuela, feigning concern for so-called "human rights". Following the American-led destruction of the Iran nuclear agreement--which Iran was following to a tee according to the IAEA--the US is now sanctioning medicine going into Iran, a pretty sinister form of economic warfare. Also, they are seizing food shipments in the Panama canal, belying the stated rationale for intervening in the first place to "let the aid reach the starving people of the Maduro regime."
What both Iran and Venezuela do have, though, is oil. Bolton admitted as much to Fox News in January, saying "“It will make a big difference to the United States economically if we could have American oil companies invest in and produce the oil capabilities in Venezuela."
So, are you just ignorant or an American supremacist zealot?
