...decide to put games on PC like MS?

  • i always buy a playstation (consoles 4ever)

  • i play Sony games on PC (i've got the power!)

  • i don't play games anymore (playstation exclusives or bust!)

  • i buy an xbox (in sign of protest)

  • i double dip (i have too much money)

  • i don't know (i'm like the Buridan's ass)

  • i don't want to answer (f***you nikolino)

  • i just wanna see the votes (i'm a lurker)

Lmao, my biggest problem with Freedom Wars and The Last of Us is that I can't play them with keyboard and mouse. Really not a big fan of gamepads, I only like to use them for games with fixed camera perspectives (i.e. God of War, Resident Evil), any free-look = kb/m for me.
I'd play all my Sony games on PC, no need to buy their hardware. And I do love Sony games! But I'd so love them more if I could use my own controls, mess with config files, and install mods. And uh, 60fps.

Eh just for fun I'd get em on PC cause I have no wish to buy a PS4, only games I want that are exclusive on there are Bloodborne and Shadow of the Beast, so.... yeah.

If you like playing on the console, your decision most likely wont change and you win. If you like playing on PC, a whole new breadth of games has now come your way and you win. In the end, Sony would sell more games and they win. Everyone wins in this utopia.

How about your choices of answer make no sense - especially the little comments beside them.

However, I'm not sure why people think that, the only exclusives that got out on other platforms were not Sony's IPs, or the studio bought them (I don't know the specifics)... I doubt series like Grand Tourismo, God of War, Uncharted, etc. will ever make it to PC, I just don't see why Sony would do this - the risks are way greather than any possible benefits as far as I can tell, prove me wrong.

These poll options are great. You really did cover every base :messenger_tears_of_joy:

I'd totally play Sony games on PC if they were available. Dad of War at super high framerates? Yes please.

I'm going PC exclusive next-gen so that's the only way I'd play next-gen Sony games as I'm done spending another $500 for another box and another $60/year subscription just for console exclusives.

You hear me Sony!?! Bring the rest of your exclusives to PC, Sony, or I'll watch your exclusives like they are movies on YouTube :lollipop_smiling_face_eyes:

i will only buy the system if it has a lot of variety exclusives. if its on pc i will just buy it on pc, thats why i didnt get a ps4. no variety in exclusives and there are only like 25 of them.

Will never happened

Playstation is Sony bread and butter

Making their game for PC is asking for a suicide

I probably wouldn't buy a console but it depends of how they implement it.

Playing Gears 4 on PC was a pain in the ass.

Then games would sell more and devs would make more money instead of closing/leaving elsewhere and great games have a better chance of recognition in culture?

If PS4 placed their first party games on the PC, then the reasons to own a PlayStation would dissipate and I’m assuming sales would drop. Games will sell better obviously being available on more platforms, but the PlayStation brand will be screwed.

As a consumer they would save me the trouble of getting a PS5 and allow me to just focus on PC, which would be nice.
They'd also make PC even more appealing as it would be basically getting the best version of every major release aside from Nintendo stuff.

But I doubt it would be worth it for them as a company.
I doubt the increase in game sales would make up for the decrease in the appeal of the PlayStation ecosystem.

Im still buying the next xbox so i would still buy the next playstation as well. It may not be all at once, because I don't have too much money. however they will both be mine.

My PC is decent, but im still mainly a console player. 1070ti and i5 8400 is starting to show it's age and will even more so by next gen. So to have a system dedicated to near-pc quality at increased frame rates and raytracing built in...all for less than a 2080ti would cost....it's kind of a no brainer for me.

They had a great name. Would've looked nice on Steam instead of that dithered, buffered, low-ass resolution output on

PlayStation Now.

I prefer to play the AAA games in the sofa with the big tv. I almost don't play on the PC, just some small indies. But other than some experiments like Helldivers or some very special cases for some of their titles developed by 3rd party studios that may need some help when going multi (like Quantic Dream, ThatGameCompany, maybe Kojima Productions) and some small F2P experiment like Helldivers they won't release their games on PC.

Their console business is doing a great job in the services and hardware part, and a major part of that success is because of their exclusive games. With their games being released on PC that business would dissapear as it's happening with Microsoft. Microsoft wasn't doing great in consoles, so it's normal they try to move it to PC or the cloud because they also have things Windows or Azure, they prefer to sacrifice possible console specific hardware + services in order to get a better position in other areas that are more important to them. Consoles is a small market for them so they want to move their games to other places.

But not in the case of Sony. They don't have stuff like Windows or Azure and their main business is console hardware, services and games. They are the leaders of that market and in their company that market is the most important one so they will want to continue focusing on it.

OP you trying too hard with the poll answers 🤢

To answer your question, it wont be the end of the world if PS games will be playable on PC..I can guarantee you that.

and do you think Sony can reach at least 40mil. conesoles?
Easily, because the console demographic won't switch over to PC as easily as going from Xbox to Playstation or vice versa.

For me personally, the only reason that would make me switch to PC is if Sony closes down Playstation.
Otherwise, PlayStation all the way.
Xbox and Nintendo don't have enough games I'd like to play to buy either consoles.

You are talking about Sony games exclusively, but if people like me that only bet on a only platform each gen, buy a PC instead PS5, the will lose much money for psn royalties on third party games

Sony already implied they are going to do this. Only a matter of time. I personally don't have a problem with that. I'm not very interested in most PS exclusives anyway.

Would you buy the PS5?
Me: Yes

Would you build a PC?
Me: Of course, I would love to.

Would you double dip?
Me: Depends, if it really makes a huge difference and I have a beast at home, sure.

I remember the days when SONY didn't support and publish in the PC, it never hurt SONY or sales of the PS when SONY games like Wipeout, G Police, Destruction Derby Ect were out on the PC and so-called PS exclusives like FF7, Tomb Raider 2,3,4 .
PC and consoles are different and the users are different. It more an issue for a console, when a game jumps ship to a rival console, to when it appears on the PC

I think games that are on psn for a while with no sales or declines should move over to pc
Or make multilayer games cross platform

Warhawk would of been a good start

Resistance collection if ever to come and vr update

Sony released the PS4 Pro in order to keep people in their ecosystem instead of migrating to PC mid-gen to get decent performance and graphics on games.

I can see them releasing some games on PC, like those David Cage ones, but everything? Nah.

(But everything will be on PC after some years anyway, Sony liking it or not)
