Hell blade 2 is prerendered cutscene(at 24 FPS) . Go and see how beautiful those were in 2000 for final fantasy games . It had no bearing on how the games looked though

LG make and supply all OLED panels i believe, could be wrong but i’m sure i read that somewhere but i had a sony Bravia prior to buying my current C9 OLED and webOS is great. really smooth, never get any lags whilst using apps etc it’s just really simple and sleek. i’d recommend getting one

my experience with sony products has been really really bad. Both PS1 and PS2 had DRE issues. Especially the PS2. Thanks to the lawsuit, they fixed the PS2 but with the PS3, the YLOD didnt get a lawsuit so i literally had to throw away the $600 launch ps3 after two years.
PS4 didnt die on me, but both the base model and the pro are louder than a cheap hooker. Just to play death stranding late last year, i had to sit it on top of a laptop cooler, and had a tower fan lying sideways blowing air on the pro.
my gold headset snapped at the sides which again like the ylod and the pro fan noise, a very common issue that they dont fix for free.
i have replaced the original controllers three times now. the L3 and R3 buttons wore out after like 700 hours of destiny. bought a replacement and same thing. sent it in like three times before they refused to take it back. my pro controller works fine though.
my Xperia Z1s was one of the buggiest phones ive ever had.
if it wasnt for their first party games, i would be a bonafide sony hater.

Damn dude. I think my gold's cracked after awhile but I have LOVED the platinums. My L3 buttons wore out on my launch DS4 but I got those covers for them and for like $6 that fixed it
My PS4 sits on a stool in a room that is usually colder than the rest of the house so I never had problems with the noise people complain about (launch PS4 then launch pro). I also almost always have my headphones on so wouldn't hear it anyway. Never had any problems with launch PS1, 2, or 3 either. Did eventually get a slim PS2 and 3 but only cause it was nice to have them smaller. I think youre incredibly unlucky with sony unfortunately

It will be interesting to find out, but I'm guessing other than the shock value of a potential PS exclusive or a game you would associate with PlayStation being Xbox exclusive, this isn't going to change the world.
Same with Techland, I looked at their portfolio and was hit with a wave of "meh" bigger than the one that hit me when it was rumoured Sony were buying Remedy when I looked at their portfolio.
None of these rumours make me concerned or happy, just find myself not caring in the slightest.

the stool is actually a great idea. i recently opened the cover of my pro (they let you do that without removing the warranty) and the fan was full of dust. cleaning it didnt make a difference though.
everyone i knew on the gamespot forums had their 60 gb ylod. like everyone. my brother's 40gb that he bought for gta4's launch still runs without any issues over 12 years later. my brother's ps2 slim still works. so yeah, i was extremely unlucky but i understand most of these issues were tied to launch models. the newer pros are almost as quiet as xbox one x consoles.
i think sony just needs to offer at least 2 year warranty. one year simply isnt enough. im definitely buying 2-3 year warranty for my ps5 from bestbuy.

upon closer inspection of that article it appears that only their 8k and 4k models will support HDMI 2.1. The OLED will not which is a shame.I was just searching the model after the article you linked and apparently they will have 2.1 and are made for next gen gaming

I have had the opposite experience on everything. Since 2000 only Xperia phones, headset and playstations. Tvs been a mixed bag of Brands and last year I bought my first Sony tv (Sony Bravia AF9 OLED 55 UHD) and Its great besides a bit buggy Android os. The only negative experience was the Sony soundbar with Doldby atmos. I felt tricked because I dont get any 7.1 feel from it.

I always keep my consoles in more open air areas. Makes it easier to mess with cables and keeps them from getting hot. I put them on top of the entertainment before I started doing the stool. Just gotta be careful with dogs running in. I put a lamp as sort of a buffer for that to keep them outta the wiring area.

They have been venturing beyond imaging sensors and into speedy semi conductor controller like design with ReRAM and the like.

This pretty much shows that running 18gbps ram on a 256bit bus is going to be very power intensive so a 320 or 384bit bus is far far more likely for both consoles.
I am pretty convinced that the sweet spot for die size, performance and power consumption is a chip around 60CUs (56 active) 384 bit bus, 24 GB GDDR6 ram and 64 rops. There is a bit of wiggle room here but it really seems like that is the most cost effective config to get in the 12Tflop ball park.

Osiris has told us that PS5 > Series X (by a little bit) and has given us two detailed trailer descriptions. He also talked about an amazing launch by MS for Series X and studio acquisitions.
He's given a lot of stuff which if they turn out bogus, no one - NO ONE - will give him the time of day ever again.
This isn't a case where he can say 'oopsie, my bad' and no one will mind. People here will mind. Big time. So it's safe to say that his reputation is on the line, and he's going to be ridiculed forever if he's wrong.
Which is why I 95% believe him.
