We all know he is a Sony fan. This isn’t news. It shouldn’t bother anyone, especially those who ignore other platform fans who do the same shit in the process.

Oh, come on. There are fans, then there are die hard fans, then there are idiots who just have no clue. A lot of those in this thread.

And then... at the tippy top of the embarrassing tower...

Yes, and they are in here as well. The focal obsession with just TLW is tiring. As least he attempts effort compared to most.

Anyways, this is off topic and should be brought to the Meta thread.

You know how VGleaks got the info?
Klee, Matt and the Tommy Fishers of the world ain't no Superdae.
It's almost you are denying the reality of how bad and wrong the so called insiders rumours were about PS4 and Xbox One. And all more than 10 months out from the console launches.
You are letting your desire for Klee to be right over ride your logic and the reality of last gen.

Vgleaks had their own source regarding the early 2012 PS4 dev kit specs, and vg247 even tells you outright in the article that their source is multiple developers talking to them (not unlike klee, matt, osiris, Heisenberg, (I don't believe Tommy Fishy)).

Developer sources, speaking after meetings at CES, have told VG247 that the next PlayStation, codenamed Orbis, will have a run-capability of 1.84 teraflops. Conversely, the next Xbox, codenamed Durango, will be able to achieve 1.23 teraflops.

Funny you can't even provide receipts and links for your claims anymore because you know the dates contradict your argument. Show me proof where SuperDae leaked PS4 info before or on June 2012 and that they were the source for Vgleak, I'll be waiting. :messenger_tears_of_joy: Now you're making stuff up to fit your narrative, who's the one denying reality again?

BGs is a verified developer who has access to both devkits.
No he doesn't lol. He clearly states he doesn't have access to the devkits. And I don't think he ever did, it sounds like his info is second hand or just straight up speculation.
Yes, that WHY he deleted it. He mentions several times that what he deleted may have been a real scoop.

You can't get any more clearer than that.
Yes, it's clear he has no info on these dev kits..

Why are you so concerned with measuring the next-gen consoles TFLOPS with a PC GPU? This is how platform warring starts. It's like you guys want any number that can be as close to a PC GPU as possible. The 3080Ti comes out this year along with AMD's RDNA 2 boards. In 2 more years, you'll have a 4080Ti, etc.. try not to get hung up on consoles "hanging" with PC GPUs.

To be honest, nobody cares about the consoles "hanging" with PC. How would such a thing even be possible with 4-7 year cycles where a console spec is expected to be locked in? The point is that PC is always the best example of where current power and capability is at for gaming, so it's nice to look at a specific power threshold and say "it would sure be nice to have THIS kind of power in a console over the next 7 or so years."

We are definitely going to be in 2080, 2080 Super and 2080 TI territory if the consoles are in the 10-12+TF range on RDNA. That's more than enough power for next gen consoles. In fact, it practically guarantees that no matter how far into the gen we get, we will always be playing the most demanding games at no less than 1440P minimum, but we should safely be at or near 4K for most of the gen. That's excellent from where i'm sitting, unlike current consoles where we knew they would at some point run up against a certain wall about 2 years in with specific types of games. These consoles, despite the rapid advancements of PC GPUs, will be rock solid all gen on any kind of game.

It spreads at a stable 2.000 cases per day. There is no exponential growth to be found, it's completely linear. (even slowing down) Which is to be expected with the lockdown. The 14 days of incubation show the actual numbers, which means that by the end of the lockdown there will be around 25.000 infections in China and around 500 deaths. And that's about it. During the same time, the ordinary flu will have killed 1.000 people in Germany. Just to show the relations.

The trouble with the SX console design is that the vast majority of people I feel will likely display it on its side (long ways, flat), and yet I haven’t seen any pics or info show that it even has rubber feet on the side? I just don’t feel good about just sticking it down without feet. But then it would look silly when it’s stood up.

That’s the problem with this sort of design, you’re forced into putting it a certain way really.

I suppose I could just buy some sticky rubber feet but then...... why should I have to?

This! Viral infections RARELY spread at a linear rate. A lot of experts are at least leaning towards believing that China is LYING about the infection. They did it with SARS and other infections. Locking down 30+ million people is no joke and it's had it's effect on the stock markets as people BELIEVE that things are far worse than the Chinese say. From what I've seen so far, the CDC hasn't been able to confirm yet how dangerous the bug is, which we need. If it's like a cold or flu, we're all going to get it eventually anyway. Don't forget as well that up to about 50k people die in the US alone from just the flu. So yes, we have a long ways to go before panicking about some superflu that will take us all out, but this DOES need to be watched carefully. So far, indications are that it's not too dangerous, but spreads very rapidly due to the long incubation period and being communicable DURING that incubation period. So in all likelihood this is another thing like the "swine flu" which we've all probably had at this point but that they were worried about at first.

But again, PAY ATTENTION and don't be stupid about hygiene, etc. Just because something kills even say less than 1% of those who get it is a big deal for those who find themselves in that 1%!!

It will likely come with rubber stickers that you can stick on the side if you want it positioned that way.

This is MS. The same Ms that didn’t put little bumpers in the 360 disk drive to stop it scratching, which cost pennies.

They will either ignore it, or charge an extra £50 for them as an extra 🤣

yeah but who the fuck moves around a console while it's turned on and a game is playing...???
that's the only real way you will get a scratched disc in that thing.

Not to mention what we've seen so far have been renders and a possible prototype which is not a final product.

Oh i am sure it will impact manufacturing as they shut down 2/3 of all manufactring so far

The thing is, that is one province of China. It's not the city of Shenzen which is in Guangdong province and is where most of our electronics and components are manufactured, etc. So if the outbreak is contained there, we probably won't see big delays. Or if the virus does in fact turn out to be no worse than your normal cold and flu. If it IS worse by a good bit, like say SARS or something, OR the outbreak can't be contained, THEN you would see mass delays, etc.

To be honest, Uncharted 4 has much more geometry, higher detailed character models, better lighting and global illumination, much wider areas, better effects and smoke effects, better textures overall, more detailed world and better AI than the latest Modern Warfare 2019, Uncharted 4 is a 2016 game.

Stop kidding yourself. Uncharted 4 is a much more demanding game on PS4 than MW 2019.

---snip---

OK. I'm not even going to entertain this nonsense. Have it be your way. Even some people I know that works at ND wouldn't approve at what you are saying.. :messenger_pensive:

The fact that they are both written by the same person really says it all.

Well, to be fair, he does hit different angles in each piece. He says Sony will win overall because of exclusives and their larger base, while Microsoft's advantage is the 'Game Pass' program. Fair evaluations. He doesn't seem to be biased either way, but just pointing out what he thinks both's strengths are and where that will eventually lead.

GDC2020 at least for anything major.

Im thinking Sony might actually be waiting for Microsoft to make its reveal before they commit to showing their hand.

That way then can come out looking better if Microsoft fucks up again in some way or if Sony has a weaker box, they can announce they have a better price point or launch lineup by going after.

Just a thought.

I gotta say I agree. While I don’t mind the x-fridge design, it really is quite bland, and once you put anything like this on it, it just falls apart.

It’s a shame, because usually the design team are killing it.

Can we expect something close to this graphically on next-gen? (This is the entire short movie)

Doubt it, that looks way to intense for next gen hardware, the things looks like live action at times. Think more something like Infiltrator.
