Hello good sir. It would be best to watch the AMD stream before coming out with such questions/facts you have stated.
BOM article by Forbes is more like a estimate by the author. It was not a definite fact. No such breakdown on each parts for each consoles (PS5 and Xbox Series X). Take that with a pinch of salt.
As such we cannot refer to that as a source. Just speculations.

As for github, it might be accurate at a certain point of time (possibly PS5 2019/Early dev kits) but with AMD saying that both consoles are RDNA2 as per their slides, it is therefore questionable right now.
If rogamer was correct with his tweet which includes details of Ariel and Oberon, then its almost in the bin as that data for the chips are based on RDNA 1 / Navi10 lite. That is also included in the github leak as well.

I am not sure why you are questioning on those points. (on PS5 being on RDNA 1 or 2)

As for the 9.2TFs, it is still within speculation though i am more inclined that it would be higher than that. Have a look at the table below for Navi21 (as both consoles, PS5 and Xbox Series X are based on RDNA2)

Number of estimated CUs it could have is more than github data. I dont see any reason why Sony would be limited by this unless it is not within their set budget on the SOC. :messenger_smiling_with_eyes::messenger_smiling_with_eyes:
I appreciate your respectful reply. 😊

All I want is clothing to be a separate thing with its own weight, elasticity, and wrinkles tech, like we see in CGI.
More realistic body deformation (muscles/fat), liquid simulations...
More persistent FX and world deformation, you know?
Footsteps, explosions, bullet holes, fires, getting your character wet/damaged, killed enemies, this things just disappear like magic.

Gimme Battlefield with next-level destruction and ray traced audio :O. prefarably Bad Company 3 with Arica Harbor

I just want to see the first tech demo in new consoles and also the first games using a reconstruction technique like checkboarding to 30 fps ..... yeah that will be gorgeous to see. :messenger_smiling_hearts:

As someone who hasn't followed a single one of these GitHub leaks, I literally have no idea what people are arguing about in here.

Sony will announce the Cerny PlayStation 5 soony, so everyone just needs to relax.

finally racing simulation games like gran Turismo and forza motorsport will have actual trees with tessellated leaves, and people full of polygons instead of flat cardboard cut out looking placements in the background. That better happen or no deal

I think the holiday season especially black Friday for this year is the perfect time to get 4k 120hz UHDTV with the following specs for next gen:

HDMI 2.1 with amd freesync/variable refresh rate
HDR10+ and Dolby Atmos
wifi6 built in
4k with 120hz refresh rate

Who else is crazy hyped about the end of this year? I feel like no matter how these consoles shake out, this November is gonna be fucking nuts.

we are going to start this decade out great and right for video gaming. thanks to amd, pc gaming is going to be phenomenal too by their awesome cpu/gpu product releases and new products from nvidia and intel.

kudos to amd for giving microsoft and sony the sweet spot needed for the price to performance ratio to keep console gaming going.

I wish 4k projectors would come down in price. Might have to get me a cheap 65’ 4k hdr to replace mine without hdr.

Yeah, there's been too much doom and gloom in this thread. It's like people have forgotten we will be getting next gen consoles THIS YEAR (fuck you coronavirus). It really is an exciting time, and I honestly can't wait to see some footage of some next gen games. What are Sony's studios up to? What about Microsoft's? I'm personally very curious to actually see what Bluepoint is working on. I also wish Sony Japan would do work on a JRPG, that would be really fucking sick.

If you are upgrading for hdr take it from me dont skimp on the quality of the hdr. Make sure the tv you want has good reviews with high peak brightness. I got a 4k tcl a couple years ago for cheap 4k with ok input lag but never use hdr since it is terrible, not to mention disney plus app forces hdr and it all looks like washed out dim junk.

Interesting take.

The next tine I get a new tv, I was going to look into a TCL because they are cheap, now at Costco Canada, and reading forums they are supposed to be good. I'll make sure to check out its HDR at the store somehow.

game engines using cel shading better be more fluid in terms of animation/movement. not only should it look crisp (no jaggiez please) but virtually indistinguishable from anime show/movie.

oh man I hope ps5 and xsx will finally have the graphics power to make it look exactly like Naruto ultimate ninja storm 1 bullshots. :pie_drooling:

Late night implausible thought:

Final Fantasy VII-R is further along in development than they've ever let on, culminating in a reveal at the PS5 event that not only will FFVII-R owners get a free upgrade to the PS5 version, but Episode II is a launch title.

No, that would *never* ever happen, but if anything would break the internet at a reveal for a system launch, it would be that.

I hope they render armpit hair

Related- I want old man characters with visible and moving nostril and ear hairs. I want old women with moles that sprout full, moving in the wind hair as well. I want detailed fluid physics so good that I can see the saliva flow and the spittle spray when those characters talk. I want hookers with realistic meth sores and pores so large that I can almost smell that sour sweat!

I want armpit sweat that you can actually see soak thru shirts as my character parkours thru the city...oh...and realistic bathroom physics, please! 12 terra-floppies indeed! I want to see particle physics when the toilets flush and when my character is in the southern hemisphere, the toilets had BETTER swirl the other direction!

Some tcl have good hdr it all depends on the model. Six series has local dimming and all tht stuff and rates highly. Tcl for the price punches well above its weight. I have an older model 4k tcl and love it and my games look dope this coming from usually an LG and Samsung TV guy. On rtngs. Com thy rate very highly.

Bingo. Also, enough with these attractive, muscular characters. I want to play games where the only chick (ok, or dude) my character can possibly hook up with is FUGLY, just like 90% of the real world! I want with this new CPU power to have a life simulator where my character can get trapped in a loveless marriage to the chick who was hot in high school but now...10 years later is a wreck (literally) due to an unfortunate cheese grater accident and where there's no hope because the character only makes $7 an hour and can't afford a divorce lawyer. And with the 12 TF or more of GPU power I want to SEE the desperation in his/her eyes and the realistic motion physics of how they shuffle dejectedly thru their lives. I will accept nothing less. It's 2020, it's TIME, and these consoles will FINALLY have the power to deliver the games that will fully destroy the rest of the dreams and illusions that I have so carefully held onto for all these years.
