That website (https://www.statista.com/statistics/1105061/coronavirus-deaths-by-region-in-italy/) updated their numbers again, I guess they do it daily? If so, that's nice. They're still behind though as the death total went from 8458 to 9220 (+762, this is about on-par with the 3/27 numbers).

0-29: 1 - (No increase, yay!)
30-39: 20 - x1.11 (+2)
40-49: 81 - x1.06 (+5)
50-59: 340 - x1.08 (+26)
60-69: 1073 - x1.10 (+102)
70-79: 3206 - x1.08 (+239)
80-89: 3652 - x1.09 (+308)
90+: 845 - x1.10 (+78)

So it seems to be killing about on par with #s across the board I guess, for a 1-day snapshot. Will be interesting to follow it and see if/how it changes over time.

3/30 data.. 10,026 deaths (which puts it right in line with the 10,023 reported for 3/28, so still about 2 days behind.

0-29: 2 - x2.00 (+1)
30-39: 20 - x0.00 (+0)
40-49: 89 - x1.11 (+8)
50-59: 369 - x1.08 (+29)
60-69: 1162 - x1.08 (+89)
70-79: 3456 - x1.07 (+250)
80-89: 3984 - x1.09 (+332)
90+: 939 - x1.11 (+94)

So by percentage the youngish (40's) and OLD old (90's) grew at the same rate, compared to the day before, everyone else is more or less close enough to be equal. x2 growth for 0-29 just looks odd because it went from 1 to 2.

Old's still dying in greater numbers, but I have seen an increase in younger cases over time, thankfully not huge though.

Also,

sad :(

As far as PPE goes, if we can get self testing and point of contact testing that should help. I have to imagine testing 1000's of people a day requires a shit ton of masks and gloves etc....

Guys, could someone enlighten me please.

So we have territory T with number of infected X, which is in thousands.
And then we do self isolate, pray to C'tulhu or whomever, and the spread of infection slows down, so X still grows, but slowly.

Exactly what will prevent C19 from rapidly spreading again, if businesses of territory T re-open pretty please?
Slowing down means you have fewer and fewer active cases. Say you have 50,000 cases, lockdown, and after two months you have 200,000, but the infection has slowed dramatically. That isn't 200,000 people sick.
So after the two months, you only have 1,000 people who are actually sick, while at the peak you had 100,000 people sick at the same time. Your hospital system is no longer overwhelmed, the number of new cases each day is very low or zero. The active cases are all quarantined and getting the care they need.
You open the area back up. Now you are doing rapid and aggressive testing and contact tracing. Immediately shutdown areas if a large cluster is discovered (if you respond fast enough the area you shutdown will be very small). You know, things these countries in lockdown WEREN'T doing beforehand. You won't be able to eliminate the virus completely, but if you do a good enough job, you can keep it so the virus spreads very slowly (say 10-50 cases a day), which will not overwhelm your medical system, and allow your economy to keep going.

One of the "essential service" business that I help support just announced they had a positive case in their office. We had one of our employees in there office as recently as friday last week

So, according to: https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/#countries

Germany had only ~1400 new cases. This can’t be true right? The days before Germany had much more cases.
Did they stop testing or what’s going on there?
My little conspiracy theory is that some countries are running out of test kits so you see less and less confirmed cases.
Germany did a lot of testing and they might be low on kits.

Also with the lockdowns and people being told not to go to clinics unless its urgent more and more people are dealing with it on their own.
They might be sick or not but they wont reach out to get tested.

If you watch the project veritas video you will see that no one is getting tested at walk inns as they dont have test kits.

So is Spain down again or they got another update?

And if you check their source Spain claims 46K in hospital ??? So 54% of their positives wound up in the hospital? They are also saying 19% of their positives go on respirators.

Tell me about it.

Dumb as hell if true... but that site looks a bit compromised to say the least.

Latest UK figures 22141 (+2619) which represents a 13.4% gain, but still represents a minor drop in terms of percentage (25%, 15%, 14% respectively). Personally I was hoping it would be less, but still a positive in terms of general direction. Of the 7209 new tests carried out the infection rate was 36.3% which maintains the 1 in 3 infection rate. If the overall figure is less than 25K tomorrow that would be a good result.

Trump talking. Super windy. His hair is blowing all over and he stops mid sentence and says

“And my hair is blowing all over and it’s mine. “

How long until Ventilator question?
