Damn that is a sexy ass controller tbh. I really like that aesthetic, and it might also clue in to the PS5's retail look. Which I think is still gonna be based on the V-design devkit personally, but with a black & white color scheme and some of the details removed since some on that devkit were a bit much.

Also really like how the lightbar is better integrated into the design; it's not obtrusive nor sticks out like it did on PS4. And lastly, glad they finally called it other than DualShock (number). I get that's the way to go for marketing simplicity, but I kind of dig the more inventive naming schemes. Well, more often than not, anyway xD.

It’s about 7% boomerang, but I dig it

I hope they ditched Bluetooth for a 5GHz direct connection, and I’m curious to hear about any low latency tech like MS mentioned.

Sony gotta keep forcing that light bar on us.

I am guessing at this point Sony has a giant investment in the company that makes the tech for the light bars LOL.
A lot of games and VR games are reliant on it. How are they meant to do BC for those games without it?

Rest

All these years later I still chuckle at what a fucking moron that guy is.
I'm not convinced, it feels like they're cramming gimmicks into it when they really just needed to pare down some from the Dual Shock 4. All I see is a ballooning price tag to add features I don't care about.

At least they got rid of the Glare Bar. Maybe next gen there won't be any useless lights at all!

FINALLY something real! I like it

That's going to look sexy in a solid color. Give me all black or all white (y) (y)

I like it. Getting aesthetic vibes of the colour scheme of psvr. Looks sleek and cool to me. I hope the battery life has been improved. You basically needed two controllers on PS4.

It's looking closer and closer to Xbox's controller, at least where you grip it and less distinctive of DS.
But that's when looking at it from the front, not sure what it is that throws it off so much for me (other angles/images it looks nice).
Yeah from the front I really don't like it. It just looks weird and too futuristic in a bad way to me. But I never liked Sony designs. I always thought their consoles were ugly, their interfaces from a design perspective (not layout) were never my thing. I like my consoles, and controllers to be minimal, and sleek.

I’m happy they’re switch it up because I dong like the DS4 but that thing is fugly as hell. I’m assuming the console will look similar? Looks like a 90s toy

90s toy or 90s console? 90s consoles had some of the best aesthetics out there tbqh.

reeeeee has to be torn on this one...

cons: almost all white with the small black part under the bigger white part and no more cock shape for the handles

pro: duals sense has to be the gayest name for a controller ever

Meh, still a better name than Snowflake & Safe Space xD

Still don't understand why. That thing looks awesome.

I think they were worried kids would use it as a boomerang.

With any design theres objectively good and bad changes but theres also resistance to change. I think we've got to give Sony some faith that they have researched this controller and realize they will have invested alot of money into its design/ergonomics.

All this talk of innovation and nothing on the return of pressure sensitive face buttons for Gran Turismo :messenger_loudly_crying: It's one of their biggest games, it's worth it having it even if just for one game since a lot of people only buy their PS for GT.

Those face buttons also need the classic colors.

Good call. Can't not trust, they've actually never let me down. I've loved all the controllers, each one better than the last, DS4 was the best.

The only thing was DS3 was the third gen they used basically the same design and 360 came out feel a bit more advanced, but hey... DualSense... I'm digging it.

Kinda want the d-pad and buttons raised a bit more. Mic feature seems kinda worthless to me as you'll still need a headset unless you want chat audio coming through the tv and hopefully the LED doesn't still murder the battery. Otherwise it's "fine" and looks very similar to the Xbone Sunset Overdrive pad. =P

Btw chances are increasing that Sony will randomly drop a video with the teardown of the PS5 showing the console design and what's inside. LOL.
Seems like their marketing is basically focused around socials like twitter and instagram plus their blog and youtube.
The days of dedicated events where everything needs ten minutes of PR introduction seem to belong to the stone age.

No Headphone jack? Hope this is indicative that PS5 finally have 3rd party bluetooth support.

USB C adapter seems to be the next best alternative for those that prefer analog.

Edit: Nevermind there is one after all. Still hoping for that bluetooth support though🤞

Where is everyone reading that there is no headphone jack? I play almost all games with a headset so i hope this is not true.
