I know RE has a B Movie story quality about it but despite being a fantastic action game RE4 has some proper straight to DVD shit story and the cheese is taken to the max.
If they remake it, it would have to be from scratch
Because even coming from the Remakes that shit is laughable
Veronica can be fixed while maintaining most of the original.
It can be redeemed.
But RE4? And I say this with a heavy heart
Needs to be nuked from orbit with everything else that came after it.

Remember when we were meant to take down Umbrella and all that got skimmed over? Mikami had to soft reboot the series in order to make sales. RE4 singlehandedly saved and killed the series in one game.

I don't remember that many people loving Code Veronica, that's pretty wild. I had it on Dreamcast, and I definitely enjoyed it. But, at the time, I definitely loved 1-3 more than CV. But I bet I'd love it even more if it got remade with the new engine and controls.

As a huge RE fan i'd say is enough for the time being when it comes to remakes of older Resident Evil titles but that's just my opinion.

Same here .. I mean RE4 Doesn’t need a remake It stands just perfect , yes the game is way way far away from the series but still great game ..

CV is awesome but I don’t think it’s going to happen .. RE5 I love this game but the same goes for it no need for remake or any improvement..

RE6 hate it and like it it’s bad but at the same time I like it .. this is fucked up I know But overall I want to see new games Capcom ..

I'd say Code Veronica should be next, but I understand it will not be as quick as RE3 considering they need to do everything from the ground up. As for RE4, a remake would also be nice, however much like Black Mesa, there's a guy who has been working on RE4 for years now. Truly stellar work, not just textures upgrades, puts Capcom's "HD" port to shame. Maybe Capcom can contact him and work out a deal for his patch and release it for free to those who already own RE4 "HD" on consoles and paid for those who don't. This could be a stop-gap while Capcom totally reworks RE4 Remake.

Anyone saying Resident Evil 4 is wrong. I can see why everyone says CV, but I’m not sure... hold on, are Capcom Days of Future Past-ing the series?

If they remake outbreak I can be perfectly happy. It's the only one i really want to play that for some reason, they haven't come back too.

It was truly ahead of its time, too. If they did Outbreak on PS3, i.e when consoles had a proper internet infrastructure to work with as opposed to what PS2 had, it would have been amazing.

But I would want a straight port with a new texture pack and some UI upgrades - not a remake, and they would never give it to us. Hell, just PC port it and let the community do it. I wouldn’t want it to be OTS, it wouldn’t be half as fun like that. That’s what Resistance is.

Yes I want all games to be like resident evil 2 remake but they have to be done by the team that did 2 remake and not 3 remake as 2 is the much better game.

I know most like resident evil 1 but I can't play fixed camera anymore and I hate the action resident evil games so make 1 in to proper 3d graphics and re do the rest in to mysterious survival horror games like 2.

Resident Evil Remake is so good that you absolutely have no reason to play the original game outside of nostalgia.
It's the superior remake above 2 and 3 and one of the best horror games ever made.
Just do an RE4 and re-release it every console generation.



Do please touch RE4, Capcom.
Remove everything after the first half of castle and the game goes from great to legendary.

Code Veronica and with more effort put into it than the RE3 remake. Such a damn shame. Way too short, too easy most of the time, cut a lot out from the original, and Nemesis was a joke. Felt like they shoved it out the door.
