They look great, but offline rendering still has a big advantage in IQ. They can completely eliminate aliasing, and use models with pretty much infinitely high geometry.

That's why I made the youtube screenshots as well, although both being somehow unfair, the youtube video being more than 4x compressed and the direct feed from the console itself without interaction with the screen.
But here, screenshots I made now from youtube which is at least 4x or more worse than what you will see in the console:
There is a shadow glitch here, it's a pre-alpha build after all, but look at the distant buildings and how clean and sharp they are
Youtube and videos are crap usually with lots of details lost in the slightest movement with particles. But it's very, very close to those direct screenshots from the console.

I watched Nx gamers latest video last night while lying in bed and i marvelled at how beautiful some of those games are on ps5.
That stream the other night did such a disservice to those games it's unbelievable what i missed.
The details, the colours, some of those games are like living art.
The picture with the crabs on the beach and all those bits of sand or the scene with Aloy swimming between all the kelp beds, possibly some of the best images i have ever seen from a game.

That's why I did those 4K screenshots of the videos, some might not seem convinced about 4K TV's, but they can easily see those screenshots to see what they're missing to some extent. You can zoom in the screenshots on any kind of screen and feel the greatness. Play Has No Limits!

Last year black Friday, i bought my self a cheap 4k 43 inch Lg tv. It was 450 pounds reduced to 299.
I had been gaming on a 32 inch no name brand from 11+ years ago. The yellows were mustard looking and the blacks were more grey. It did me fine because i did not know any better.
When i got my new TV i was blown away by the games. I was playing rise of the Tomb raider at the time and after loading it up and playing it i was like, WTF are these effects, things like smoke or haze from fire places burning. The amount of astonishing detail i had never seen before. Almost every single corner i turned there was something new to look at.
Owning a 4k tv made me play through all my games again, I can not stress this enough, if you do not own a 4k tv, JOIN the BLACK LIVES MATTER RIOTS AND PICK YOURSELF UP ONE Now, they are so worth it.
Infact, this is terrible to say but picking up a 4k tv in my eyes might even be a bigger upgrade that going from ps4 to ps5.
And the good news is you don't need a top of the range one to enjoy the benifits if your poor like me.

Indeed, it's a huge generational leap to got for a 4K tv, even a cheap ass one. I've seen many Chinese (Nikai) tv's here mostly 75" 4K tv's on amusement shops and they look wonderful, costing around $700-800 USD. There are many good $300 4K TV's, cheap but good. The difference between 1080p tv and 4K tv is simply mind-blowing. Buying PS5 with no 4K TV is like someone watching a nice scenery without his glasses for someone not having healthy vision.
Even 1080p looks much better on 4K. And it goes to 8K as well, 4K looks much better on 8K tv's.

I saw no aliasing in those games at 4K and the Unreal Engine 5 demo had pixel size triangles; no point in having more geometry than that.
In realistic games there is still room for improvements, even realistic CG sometimes look bad in movies, but in this "Pixar DreamWorks style" games already give films a run for their money.

Yeah it is, only thing I see wrong is clipping from the hair just before that giant robot emerges from the water. Watch and you see the hair go through the weapon.
Tells us it's realtime but I thought that was obvious anyway but hopefully they improve that also.
Overall it It looks unbelievable and so clean and cgi like.
Have watched it so many times haha.

Unfortunately my nips are mainly for fun or humour. I think trying to make light out of everything can be a good stance although sometimes, I can take it a bit to far.
I guess that's what mods are for.

For me it’s the opposite, my launch PS4 was very quiet, but my Pro is crazy loud. In games such as Modern Warfare I have to wear headphones to hear what’s going on.
I cleaned out my Pro a few weeks ago, but it’s still the same, so it’s likely the thermal paste. I’m getting a PS5 at launch, so am not gonna risk opening it up and fixing it.

Say that to first party studios, One S/X will be a drag for them for quite some time.
You can still have aliasing at pixel size when a poly falls in between two pixels.
Are you buying a series x at launch? If not you have nothing to worry about.

Devkits must have at least double the memory of retail version so devs can debug code, and spare processing power to run the tools while the game itself is running. So, I think they indeed are more powerful.

again, that's not gameplay, there is no HUD nothing, in that sequence you can't control the character at all.

Sorry to break it to you there were in game screens, playable characters in Horizon, Ratchet and Kena tht looked better than tht. Nice bullshit angles, low brightnesd/contrast lol

As far as I know, both games use similar trope of powerful supersoldiers killing religious zealots because reasons. I'm sorry if I'm wrong, I've always tried to skip cutscenes in those games because, as you pointed out, it's for children.
Shooters aren't the same and not all of them are like COD. I'd like something else and Sony can deliver such a game. By the way, Killzone games have a very interesting and not obvious pitch on the problem of oppression and the oppressed. One based not on race but rather social differences and that's something I can relate to. Probably because Guerilla is a Dutch studio.

It has bad motion processing compared to LCD LED TV's, especially at 24-30fps. It has low peak brightness for HDR and dims the image making white sometimes look like gray-ish. Overall it's one of the best TV's out there for gaming, and if you play for long hours or work on PC for long hours and bars/logos/HUD there then you better go for LED LCD.
I would say keep an eye for Sony's XH90 (X900H), reviews aren't out yet and it has the HDMI 2.1 chiplet and will support full features of it (4K@120Hz, VRR, ALLM) with a firmware update, but better get it around Black Friday. Sony overall has the best motion, color, upscaling processors, but you go and check more reviews. LG C9 is one of the top tv's there, but being OLED, low peak brightness, weak motions control can be problematic for games running at 30fps.
Every other guy has an opinion, watch more videos from professionals and make up your mind, but those two TV's to me are the best two TV's out there.

I have the 65 inch version. It’s my first 4K TV so I can’t give a fair comparison to other TVs but I think it’s fantastic.
I purchased it based on Eurogamer’s recommendations, it has a very low lag, great features, detail, and the way the HDR pops stuff out is amazing.
It’s also HDMI 2.1, so it supports 4K at 120hz, 8k at 60hz, and VRR at 40-120hz range.

So on point and it looked better than one. It looks like it's doing tons of things and we can expect tht bcus Horizon one wasn't this static, empty open world like other games.
Can't wait to see how under water gameplay looks and is. Hope thy fixed the only graphical issue which was water animations but I'm sure thy did.

There is no 4K footage of PC gameplay so far, only 1080p@60fps.
The character must have very uncomfortable boots to walk this way. I feel for him.
