I obviously meant the ms game showcase.

Because all that stuff you are posting is bullshit in my opinion.

Well I knew alex would find some strange idea why Halo Infinite looked so bad. The lighting was bad. Not the last gen models, geometry and assets. Just turn off all light in the game then you'll see how good it is.

I really don't understand Alex.

Imagine you are charge of take the decision of choose what kind of technologies you want to implement in your game,
so you should think what is the best in order to give the freedom to your artists while reach with performance required.

If you see your game looks so "flat" even in the most powerful version but you insist with use that art direction and that
technology in lighting, sorry but is your mistake is not something to be mention as something good.

Alex can say whatever he wants about the pre-baked lighting but that lighting reach its the targets in a better way, because you
don't make your game in order some youtuber feel is physical correct, you made it in order the user see what do you want to express.

All our games use this approximation or faked systems because our technology is limited and in the end we don't search to be a
scientific simulation where the data should be get it in the most realistic way we just want be looks as close with what we think
our game should looks like.

Alex pass the first minutes "describing" the pre-baked lighting like if was not acceptable, well sorry is what we have and not RT will not
make your assets looks with more detail just will looks a little better and when you have a game like Halo Infinite which show much less detail
than games like RDR2,Gears 5, Ghost of Tsushima,Death Stranding,Doom,Metro Exodus,Horizon Zero Dawn between others when in some of
them are open worlds, others running in 60 fps in machines which born as medium hardware in GPU in 2013 and weak CPUs, that is disappointing.

Even with 343 being an average dev, that’s pretty damning.

I’m pretty confident that ND could have a patch to run it at 60fps at launch easy.
Well fuck!

man I’m all for console wars and shit for the funny banter and things but this is unacceptable!

like don’t post shit like that again man, last of us makes halo infinite look like fucking toy story!

Don't be mad you got current gen graphics.

Quote me and quote the user addressing me, happy to discuss.
If you want a quote of you being agressive this one is ... Or at least sound like. I understand it was probably not the intention that you wanted to send.

But it reads kinda lika like a "1v1 me next to the nearest trainstation" it's a saying, I know you do no want to fight.

i know 12TFlops per pixel == infinite disapp... infinite pixel power with flat visuals.
and btw it's just very early build and it's coming just in 4 months, no wonder ms has to push those pixels to compensate visual details.
people are just out of their minds if they think that it was very early build. no one in the right mind, especially, when tens of billions dollars hanging on the cliff, will show early 500M game build. those who saying that is just.. retarded. even 343 said them self that was Polished demo version. game is coming in 4 month, they played through the game hundreds of times already. at this points there is only optimization left.

what you see, that you will get. turd.

Its more like i am bracing you for it, lol.

ITs a lot to take it. The thought of me in a wedding dress almost ended me, i can only imagine the damage it would of done to you.

Just be grateful i don't post memes or gifs or what ever those young people post.

You would look nice, I guess.

You forgot the quote i responded to 👇

🤷‍♂️
Sure but you were arguing with someone else about it.
It just felt misplaced and if it was an argument with whom you were talking I wouldn't have cared at all because it seems that he deserved it.

But from what you say you want to talk more about tech and speculation which this thread is about maybe we can close this incident and move on ?
Does it sound condescending ? please know that it is not my intent.

Things got sorted I have no hard feelings towards you and think that talking about what's comming will probably be more relevant to this thread.

I feel like we had multiple events already and the big third parties barely showed anything, what is going on?

I do believe Sony was playing it safe, they could show more of SpiderMan or more of GT7, that what I believe, honestly I was hoping for MS to go full MIC DROP... I don't understand what exactly is going on there...

Halo Infinite Graphics Criticism Addressed by Dev; Game Features a New Acoustic Engine Leveraging XSX

I think for the response on the graphics, the thing I hope is that folks get a chance to check out our 4K streaming assets, I think that really lets our game show itself in full fidelity. We are definitely still very much in development, we have some polishing and tuning that the team is working on to really bring the full potential of our experience to our fans later this year in Halo Infinite. We definitely are excited about the ambition of the title, of this open expansive campaign and we'll make sure that it's polished and ready to go when fans get their hands on it this Holiday.

The gameplay demo is a great example of how we're running on Xbox Series X, you'll be able to run at a solid 60 frames per second at up to 4K resolution. We're bringing the highest fidelity experience that we've ever created. We're able to do more than 10 times the processing power per pixel that we were able to do in Halo 5, which just allows us to create this experience that's unlike anything that we've had in Halo before. In Halo Infinite we've really harnessed a lot of advanced rendering techniques, but also the immense power of the Xbox Series X.

Music is also incredibly important to Halo and to our fans, and I'm really excited that after Curtis Schweitzer, a composer that we talked about last year at E3, we got to announce our second composer that's joining Curtis, Gareth Coker. Both Gareth and Curtis have been doing an incredible job and throughout the demo today you've been able to experience some of the music that Gareth has worked on. We also upgraded our audio engine to create a new acoustic system and leverage a lot of extra processing power and streaming power with the Xbox Series X to be able to really surround the player in a much more realistic audio experience.

I think what we got from Sony first party is pretty good (as long as we are looking at the 2020 and 2021 line-ups), what I'm missing is big third-party presence in these events. The only one I can think off is Deathloop. Where is everyone else?

If the August thing is legit we'll probably see more then. God of War for first party and Call of Duty should be coming, hopefully a few more thrown in. Maybe next gen Fortnite (couldn't give a fuck about this one though).

Wait was it not running native 4k but dynamic? That says runs up to 4k.

Or perhaps rt patch lowers Res
Will be dynamic almost sure, looks like for 343 60fps and locked resolution are just not possible doesn't
matter what, remember the Halo 5 60 fps but using the next resolutions:

1168x810, 1440x840, 1344x972, and 1536x1080

Not a master in that though, mostly for fauna and flora and nature in general. Where is that thread?
Would be nice if it was more active.

I think more than ever I believe in generations. I’m also still convinced that good graphics is as much about hardware as it is about having talented artists and programmers, and giving them not just cash, but freedom in creativity and time to develop new and potentially risky ideas instead of yet another sequel to a tired franchise.
Got my Ghost of Tsushima Platinum yesterday and that was a mega surprise of a game. I hope PS5 gets a sequel designed purely around its strengths, maybe taking the fight to the mainland, with even more budget allocated to it now it’s officially a commercial success.

It's more likely to be Jak4. It is his baby afterall. He made Jack2.
I really would like a return to more adventure-like games even in big budget titles. The new R&C is sick but since a long time the series is more about a mix of everything, while Jak could live as kind of an open world BoTW style with a strong platformer fashion. But of course I'm dreaming.
