I obviously meant the ms game showcase.
Because all that stuff you are posting is bullshit in my opinion.
Well I knew alex would find some strange idea why Halo Infinite looked so bad. The lighting was bad. Not the last gen models, geometry and assets. Just turn off all light in the game then you'll see how good it is.
I really don't understand Alex.
Imagine you are charge of take the decision of choose what kind of technologies you want to implement in your game,
so you should think what is the best in order to give the freedom to your artists while reach with performance required.
If you see your game looks so "flat" even in the most powerful version but you insist with use that art direction and that
technology in lighting, sorry but is your mistake is not something to be mention as something good.
Alex can say whatever he wants about the pre-baked lighting but that lighting reach its the targets in a better way, because you
don't make your game in order some youtuber feel is physical correct, you made it in order the user see what do you want to express.
All our games use this approximation or faked systems because our technology is limited and in the end we don't search to be a
scientific simulation where the data should be get it in the most realistic way we just want be looks as close with what we think
our game should looks like.
Alex pass the first minutes "describing" the pre-baked lighting like if was not acceptable, well sorry is what we have and not RT will not
make your assets looks with more detail just will looks a little better and when you have a game like Halo Infinite which show much less detail
than games like RDR2,Gears 5, Ghost of Tsushima,Death Stranding,Doom,Metro Exodus,Horizon Zero Dawn between others when in some of
them are open worlds, others running in 60 fps in machines which born as medium hardware in GPU in 2013 and weak CPUs, that is disappointing.
