In all of the various patents that have been found have we seen anything that might be the next evolution of Sony's reconstruction tech after checkerboard rendering? I'm sure there's something that they'll have and am reasonably certain they'll have dedicated hardware for it just like on the PS4 Pro.

other than checkerboard rendering, we know that some sony first parties specialize in temporal injection. ratchet ps4pro, spiderman ps4pro and the upcoming ratchet ps5 are examples of this, so there is a very good chance that miles morales is on that temporal injection train too.
regarding ML inference acceleration, iirc cerny has mentioned nothing about hardware support for 8-bit and 4-bit integer positions and math ops.
because of this non-mentioning, all bets are open on this subject until sony spills the beans on the table.

The one leak he did get right was the June 4th event being moved to a week later, people are forgetting this could have also been a predictable guess. As for Tidux, well that cunt was never even reputable to begin with so no point in debunking him.

Like I said earlier, the need for information on next-gen consoles has been the craziest it's ever been especially compared to previous gens, people will believe anything and it's a perfect oppurtunity for wannabe and half baked journalists to get some attention and followers.

Jeff Grubb and Jason Schrier are usually reliable, so I would bank on them for any reliable information. Speaking of Schrier, I'm very certain that dude knows a LOT of inside information about the consoles, but I could tell he's always been reluctant to reveal it, maybe he doesn't want to betray the trust of his sources or something but there could be a million reasons. He only ever leaks or reveals information when he really has to, good example when the PS5 tech talk received a lot of controversial feedback as well as the console specs. He come outright and said that he had heard from developers that the PS5 was the more impressive piece of hardware in so many different ways but that the devs couldn't communicate it, anyways I wonder what else he knows.

I have started to place people on ignore if they quote Tidux, Serrano, or anyone of that ilk in this thread or forum.
I have no interest in having to sift through garbage day in, day out.

They'll do an event when they feel the time is right, which could be as little as a couple of weeks before launch

The Champions League only restarted August 7th, so 1 month. I know it feels longer.

Why a true gamer would pay that much money to have access to extremely few good/ok games and overwhelming amount of garbage games that I won't even touch for free? Add over that latency, suddenly latency isn't an issue.

And PSNow has better games? Sony first-party games aren't even on the service for a long period of time.

Like I say the fact is Game Pass has a lot more developer interest and mindshare, that's a fact. Long term wise it will likely be bigger than PSNow, unless Sony gets PSNow moving. Sony's lack of commitment is exactly why PSNow has been falling behind Game Pass in terms of getting new content and expanding to new areas and markets.

Heck PSNow launched first and they let Microsoft overtake them.

Some time ago Superdata showed a chart including revenue from services like EA Access/Origin, Gamepass and PS Now, and guess which one had more than half of it? I agree with you Sony have been lacking commitment to expanding the service, but lately they have improved the quality of incoming games and showed interest in increasing the use of streaming for next gen, thus investing more on their service.

I'm starting to believe that Sony at least will be going for the phone like presentation in the home stretch. Show the last bits of what the Console is about, announce pre-orders, price, release date within the month period.

Having that second SKU will probably minimize blowback if the Console is higher than $500. On a side note, when the 30 series GPUs were announced, I hardly saw any complaints. Maybe just a whole different market and Consumers approaching it, but it was refreshing to see the type of response Nvidia got with their announcement.

But Miles Morales, Ratchet & Clank aren’t. And Demon’s Souls is a complete, ground up remake of a game most people never got a chance to play, from a software dev beloved by millions. Not really like for like, is it?
