Finished.

Well, that was an okay ending, I guess. Glad it was the last one, so they don't run it into the ground like every other show these days.

EDIT: Oh, there will be another season. Bollocks.

>when it's the last episode and you gotta rush to end the season's main storyline but you don't have any time to set up anything

And they did it twice. Man that was fucking lame.

you know this show is weird cause its garbage but its consistently garbage so there isn't that drop off like GoT so you are never disappointed. its kinda goofy that stormfront was gibbed but butcher's wife only got a small nick on the neck, considering how resilient stormfront is that forest should essentially look like a nuke site

the plotlines though show how pointless this season was that if you directly went from S1 to S3 you'd probably wouldn't even be able to tell. so many storylines were completely self contained within the season, its like a sitcom that has to reset back to the baseline before the show ends so they can be shown out of order in syndication.

1. a-train kicked off from the 7 but back on before the season ended
2. introduce church of the collective then kill the leader in the same season
3. the deep is still the deep
4. stormfront introduced then killed off
5. kimiko's character arc gets introduced and resolved in 4 episodes and she's pretty much the same as she was at the end of S1 brother introduced and killed like he never existed, seeking revenge on stormfront whom is dead
6. lamplighter was pointless
7. starlight gets captured but now back on the seven cause reasons.

There's a lot in that final episode. The setup for s2 is obvious.

But..

Why would Headpoppin AOC need to kill all those folks at the hearing? I don't see what it gains her.
I think it’s heavily implied that she’s secretly an agent for Vought. I’m guessing
Stormfront being exposed as a Nazi
was not part of their plan.

Why is everyone saying Victoria Neuman as AOC? I don't really see it. She seems smarter and more cunning!

The writers have made a few references that suggest that.

It will be fun to see her being a corrupt asshole next season, since we got the murderous nazi this season. Not sure some people will like seing AOC being made fun of though.

You didn't pay attention to the episode. She is getting appointed Tsar of the "War on Super Terrorism" after that bloodbath. She's been fighting the supe boogeyman in politics, making it even bigger and scarier creates fear which in turn gives her power. See the same thing almost every day in American politics, sadly.

I thought she got the czar seat on Superhero oversight committee. I'm probably wrong though. I guess I just don't see her aim or goal right now other than climbing in power.

I noticed a consistency error:

When the diverse head-popping woman made the Church leader's head pop. Her eyes went all white.

But when she was doing it in the courthouse, her eyes were normal........

By biggest problem with this show is that no main characters die. The Boys seem just as invincible as the Supes.

We are two seasons in of a violent show full of killing, yet every mainline character is still alive :messenger_grinning_smiling: (Only a few side characters and nameless people die).

When Miko had her neck broken, I thought "Finally, they grew some balls". But nope. Just popped her head right back.....

She has a healing factor. It was established in season 1 when Frenchie thought Black Noir killed her.

A much weaker season overall but a great finale to end things on a high note quality wise.

Hoping S3 will show less of Hughie as he really got on my nerves this season, was a constant nagging bitch which I know is his whole thing but it really grinds after near two whole seasons of it.

Excited to see what happens next with Homelander, disappointed with the lack of Edgar due to the masterful actor they had in Giancarlo, but hopefully he'll play a more prominent part going forward.

Overall rating 7.5/10

Max has a point, a lot of white supremacist fascism going on in America right now.

🤦🏻‍♂️

Was still enjoyable but overall pretty disappointing.

To me it just sort of feels like it lacks direction. Its like they created this world and then shit just happens in it.

I saw this entire season but couldn't really tell you what it was about.

Great season finale even though it needed more permadeaths. The season was good overall, but not nearly as strong as the first one. I don't think I'll be rewatching this one before season 3 premieres next year.

WTF happened at episode 7? That intro with the what I can only assume "alt right" kid shooting the clerk? The fuck was that? Sigh... It didn't fit the show at all. Just some dopy message about social media? Lame. Catching up now but I hope they cut that shit out.

I think it was about how social media can radicalize people. Like the red scare, muslims everywhere and Stormfront's rhetoric about immigrants being supervillains. He was possibly one of her social media goons.

It was good but if they stunt the release on season 3 I won't be supporting it, it's not good enough to support advert TV scheduling and tell them that this is an acceptable way to release a show in 2020. If you want more talk, spend more on advertising and social media presence, don't use us the viewer and I call BS on that excuse, anyway.

Yeah Hughie is starting to get on my nerves too.

This season got better, it's great how it poked fun at everyone, especially Netflix's Lesbian Marketing, Social Media Conditioning, the "right" diversity, etc. Looking back it seems the overall focus of the season seemed to be Homelander falling deeper into a crazed ego, he got exploited by Stormfront, played even, and then just fell off the deep end.

The church shit was mainly pointless until the last two episodes though, I guess that was meant to be a surprise connection.

Enjoyed both seasons, but that´s about it. I don't get the hype, a 7 out 10. The CGI was bad last few epi. of season 2. Still surprised how good of an actor "the home-lander" guy is, the others were OK (Heisenberg villain, antagonist of FC6 was dope).

But whiny nerdy-twat kinda ruined it for me. Non stop nagging, bitching like a 75y old.

So is Homelanders kid stronger than him? His laser obliterated Stormfront while Homelanders laser barely fazed her.

It kinda seems that way. Though at the same time we don't know if Homelander was really going all out and we haven't really seen him fighting seriously.

The power levels aren't very clear. At some point they seemed to be hinting that Stormfront is close to Homelander in power but then she gets beaten fairly easily in the final episode

I’m only halfway through season 2: I find it super boring. So much just nonsense going on that’s not funny or entertaining

Really? You didn’t get that from the memes, the forum user living with his mom who shoots a guy, Make America Safe Again...

I knew she was because Stormfront in the comics is Nazi. Plus all the disparaging stuff she said about and TO A-Train... Her killing the black family, Kimiko's brother and calling him an Asian racial slur...
