WTF? 😡 Why the fuck not? 🧐

You have like a dozen pissed off posts because some 6 year old game running in BC had pop-in on a MS marketing video....

You sound fucking nuts bro.
Nah he's right.

IMO Xbox has lost their way with this console launch. It's looking more and more disorganized than ever. They had more on offer with Xbox 360 launch than they have now.

There are some (myself included) that are a little pissed at MS for this launch. For the longest time i've wanted to pick up a Series S (as both PS5 and Xbox Series X is sold out in my region until next year) but MS is just doing a piss poor job of selling me one.

What grievances are Amazon going to solve without actually owning dev studios?

You think they'll offer a larger cut of profits or something? Where is the precedent for that? Doesn't their digital store on Fire devices charge the industry standard 30%?

Amazon certainly offer authors much better royalties on both the indie KDP platform, and via their in house publishing arm. If authors equate to devs, then devs will benefit from the same, better terms of contract.

I guess we could very well see a bigger Amazon video game studio, similar to Amazon Publishing and Amazon Studios. But that won’t happen straight away. First they’ll build the subscriber base with third party and indie.

Wrong matey, so wrong. No head up arse. Just wondering why there is a continual need for a select few well known Sony boys to lay into the Xbox. I shouldn't let it bother me, I know, but by FUCK it triggers me 😂.

Especially given I KNOW you are at least partly in it for these reactions - and here I am satisfying you (I should charge).

I will say this. Sony haven't even shown any BC yet. I wonder if there is a reason for that? Will you post such concern if old Sony games still have the same pop in, can't even reach a locked 60fps, or don't load in 2 seconds etc?
Now, can I trust you to do this yourself, as I'm not one to go trawling for such trivial issues in videos with the goal of scoring points? (and before you get your frillies in a twist, I am not implying this is you).
46 years old and crying because somebody was critical towards your favourite piece of plastic. Give me strength.

Hype Train conductor. Works harder than it steams.
But Performance mode runs at 1080p... It's not exactly what i hoped for.
It also hits 60 in none combat areas but hovers between 45/50 the rest of the time.
Not the upgrade we was expecting and doubtful people will notice much

70% if pricing is above 2,99 and 30% if it's less than 2,oo , that was the last time i check my royalties for my book

Yeap, I was happy with this mode on my Pro. Unfortunately looks like we shouldn't expect much in terms of upgrades for BC titles, if even top-sellers are treated like this. GOW will get basically 0 improvements (maybe saves required some work, but that's expected from BC title).

Amazing to see all the confusion around gaming versus UHD Blu Ray DV. To be fair the so called "standards" for TVs like HDMI and various other things like DV are a complete mess these days.

I remember being done up like a kipper (effing sircaw!) with ARC. Only found out in the last year what the cause was.

Potentially, yes. They’ll want to court and bring in smaller third party devs who have been shat on in the past by existing companies in the industry. They’ll make sure they pay them better, and provide better work practises. Don’t be surprised if Amazon forbids crunch as much as they are able.

However, they’ll also make sure Luna is the place to go for indie developers. They’ll make it easier, cheaper and quicker for them to get their games directly into the hands of Luna users.

If you want an Amazon philosophy, it’s this: cut out the unnecessary middle man.

Again, all this was done with the publishing industry. It’s also been happening with TV and film with Amazon Studios.

Big, industry shifting things are coming.

I surely hope Amazon will treat those studios better than their warehouse employees.

Sure, but that's an entirely different industry... I don't think that industry somehow means Amazon will definitely give game devs a bigger cut than competitors. They are also in the movie and music business.. and I've never heard of anyone proclaiming Amazon gives a bigger cut there. They by all accounts just follow the industry wide practice of taking a 30% cut on everything.

Their initial game studio plans have been to create small teams making games that only take 12-18 months to create.. and they've mostly produced mobile games at this point.

I don't think anyone has any clue where Amazon will go with gaming and either do they.

Not really correct.

Ghost has an optional frame rate mode on PS4 Pro already, but its capped to 30 FPS. Like Horizon Zero Dawn.

God of War's frame rate mode is already uncapped on PS4 Pro, so it will run better on PS5.

They didn't add any extra options for PS5 for Ghost, it just can run at 60 instead of 30 when selecting the same frame rate mode.

Both games are just gonna be PS4 games on PS5 but will run at higher frame rates, if the player wants.
but ghost doesnt have any option currently on Pro that goes past locked 30fps... so clearly they will need to give us a new option (or they altered an existing option, either way they went in and did something)

Option rates have generally been higher for movie and tv projects, as have production rates, and royalty rates. Can’t say anything about music, but Amazon don’t have a bespoke production arm.

Its just the same performance mode option on both. The game was likely coded with this in mind from day 1. It was released in July so I'm sure Sucker Punch already knew how they wanted it to run on PS5. Or they added it later as they patched it.

The point is God of War already has the option to uncap the frame rate. Only thing Santa Monica Studio could do is patch the game to allow a higher resolution when in frame rate mode on PS5 (1440p maybe?) than on PS4 Pro (1080p.) They can't do anything else. One mode is the 4K 30 mode, the other is 1080p and uncapped frame rate. PS5 should run it close to 60 all the time. PS4 Pro hits around 55-60 or close enough already, PS5 should have no issue bumping that up to solid 60.

I'm definitely expecting boost mode with this title.

In the light of everything we have seen with how consoles from both sides have performed, this is the most uneducated misinforming misdirecting bullshit of the highest calibre to come out of a representative's arse (past or pressent)! Keep asking myself why doesn't anybody from Sony ever stoop to this level, it's always from Microsof that comes the stupid fanboy shit!
