nope.
CDPR just confirmed that it will run natively on PS5. There are NO next gen updates day one. It`s the PS4/XO version with higher variable res and more stable/more fps ( which could be called "better looking") and that`s it for the nextgen consoles until the actual next gen patch arrives sometimes 2021.
I could have sworn they said there was going to be a patch that had minor updates for the new consoles and then later they’d do the full thing

here:
Yesterday, CD Projekt Red announced that Cyberpunk 2077 would be delayed by two months, moving from a September launch to November 2020. Following this news, CD Projekt revealed new details about their game's next-gen upgrades.

Last night in an investor call, CD Projekt studio executive Michał Nowakowski revealed that Cyberpunk 2077 players on current-gen consoles will be able to play the game on Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 with better visuals as soon as either console launches. This is basically a free next-gen upgrade for anyone who already owns Cyberpunk 2077 and is transitioning up to the next console generation.

As soon as either console is available, there'll be a day one update to Cyberpunk 2077 to improve visuals for the PS5 and Xbox Series X versions of the game. However, according to Nowakowski, later on down the line CD Projekt will deliver a "more robust update for next gen," which the developer plans to release "free of charge to anyone who purchases the PS4 or Xbox One versions."

CDPR just said that it will run natively on PS5 and "look better" there day 1, without disclosing anything.
I´d not expect anything but the ps4 version in higher res/fps considering the development time and the 2021 next gen patch.
Better graphically to be more specific
Referring to the day 1 patch

why is time going so slowly?

to keep me going i've bought the world of cyberpunk book. highly recommend it! gives you a lot of background info/lore. i think having read it i will enjoy the game even more.

not preordered the game yet. gonna get it on GOG + Xbox.

Okay but you said it doesn’t have a day one patch to look better on new consoles - which it outright says they’re going to do. Then in 2021 there is a more robust update (prob Ray tracing etc)
The 2021 patch will most likely introduce some of the pc features like the RT lighting higher quality assets etc.
CDPR had to crunch to get the PS4/XO and PC versions finished. With barely a 6 weeks from gold to launch....don`t expect big jumps. That´s an awfully short time for bigger changes AND the entailing QA.

Time will tell. ~3 weeks to go ;)

Same. I've scene enough to buy it as a big Deus Ex fan and I had it pre-ordered since 2018, but I've seen nothing with this title that tells me its anything more then Deus Ex with cars in a larger world. Nothing is wrong with that, but nothing is that revolutionary about that either. I caution anyone going around talking about scope, density or anything crazy like that as this team has been very, very careful about not making statements regarding that subject other then buzzwords to market.

It would be like trying to say Mass Effect 2 is going to be like No Man Sky based on the marketing words like "travel the galaxy planet to planet" etc. I think maybe, just maybe many are taking certain things "suggested" as literal things with no real evidence that the team is doing anything that different. The team being really careful about talking about the world, tells me its not as dense as many might be thinking as team would be singing some crazy feat to the roof tops

ie 90% enterable buildings, xyz square feat of interior, blank at every corner or something.

As someone thats gamed long enough, many times its pretty clear the title isn't doing something THAT different when the team themselves are hesitant to go into any deep, exact, specific detail regarding such things. Theses marketing teams fucking love telling you stats about junk. Chances are, if the game is really doing something extremely unique, the wouldn't just say some vague marketing points like "the density of the content" or " packed it full of life ", they'd give you some data.

Need I remind folks, how many other games have we not heard fucking marketed this exact way ie " packed it full of life", that could be any fucking game this generation..... So when Unity states 10,000 NPCs and even tells you 1/4 of the whole map is interiors....they are not fucking scared to brag about that achievement. They can say " packed it full of life" or "density", but they have the ACTUAL data to prove it, its not simply a vague, broad, general claim.

I think its still going to be a great game, but my expectations are in check. Fuck, i'd be happy to be proven wrong myself and that city is packed with thousands of NPC like in AC series and Hitman and stores and interiors are all over at every corner on every block. I'm simply doubtful because if that was the case, thats the thing you'd never stfu about if you are their marketing team lol
Being only packed with a lot of npcs is not enough in a world post rdr2 (hell even watch dogs 2).

I want to see some advanced ia reactions from npcs this time and a lot of unscripted and systemic stuff in the open world (not really hopefull about this tbh)

Just sent in my request to move my vacation time from November to December. Send me your energy guys, chances aren't the greatest when requesting time off in December this late.
I have 3 weeks of unspent vacation this year (out of 5 total), December sounds like a good time to take it out :)

Tag, you're it.
just like a good crunched dev

Yeaaaaah, thx for the info Jason...

*start looking at you pp*

Oh by the way, Insomniac is releasing 2 games soon (Ratchet & Clank and Spider-Man Miles Morales) but I'm sure they didn't crunch a single minute right ? And I don't even count that remastered Spider Man for PS5.
So, crunch is ok as long as it's not making the headlines ?

Before criticizing your neighbor, look at the girder that is in your eyes.
