Luv the machine and UI just need new games
This.
Great machine, great interface, great features, it just feels lackluster because there is nothing unique to it that takes advantage of its potential. (yet)

I agree. Massive anticlimax.
When the only good thing people can talk about is quick resume you know you've released a stinker.
They have a job on their hands in the next 12 months to make it the platform they promised and more.
By all accounts Sony are holding games back because of the lack of competition.
Eh, GamePass?
This article from Forbes is pure rubbish. To be honest, both PS5 and XSX launches were disappointing, and in many respects we have COVID to blame.
Game pass has been out for a long time on Xbox One. Does Series X offer some mountain of games in GP that One X didn't already?Meanwhile, people who bought the console are busy playing the avalanche of games they get thrown at them with GP.
I only see PS stans complaining about the lack of games to be honest. Does it suck that there isn't a next gen only title? Yes. But I only think about it for a second before I pick up another game.
What's new about gamepass exactly?
They've been adding a shit ton of content to it in the past few months,
They've been adding a shit ton of content to it in the past few months, such as the arrival of EA Play.
The author is missing the point that Microsoft and Sony have gone their own separate way strategy and marketing-wise.
I think the only reason they said was 2021 was why the fuck not? It helps with more hype and gives this outlook of another amazing game comming soon. Nobody wil care if they delay it in 2021 to 2022. the marketing has been done with it.That's a bold, and frankly ignorant, claim for him to make. If they manage to get God of War 2 out next year I'll eat my fucking hat. Late spring 2022 at a minimum is more realistic. No idea why he wouldn't use Ratchet & Clank instead when that's practically a 2021 guarantee.
He also neglected to mention the fact that you can happily play Horizon 2 on PS4. Might change, almost definitely won't.
As someone who loves his PS5, this article is kinda bullshitty considering the best "new experiences" on PS5 right now are a 4 hour platformer and a PS3 remake.
Oh so you need a Series X to get access to gamepass?
Must be my imagination then that I'm a subscriber without having one.
They're not announcing game they have coming, like the second BluePoint game, whatever Kojima is working on, not to mention the San Diego studio, and whatever else they have under wraps so I think you're wrong.Eh, GamePass?

Sony is a publicly-listed company with shareholders to answer to. The odds of this being accurate are close to nil. If Sony had the games ready, they would have launched them to deliver killing blows to the competition.
The series x is just a more powerful xbox one x and thats it. It has nothing new. No amazing new games in the near future, no new functions like the dual sense. But lots of people get it for Gamepass. Its amazing value and it stil gives next gen feeling due to how strong it is and how fast it runs
Can you enlighten me on what new the PS5 has brought so far to the table, beside DualSense?

New 1st party exclusive games
I think you've missed the point....Except every publisher in the industry (including Microsoft) is working on projects that are yet to be announced. It's not specific to Sony.
I misunderstood your earlier post; I thought you meant Sony was delaying GoW/GT on purpose as they didn't need to release them now given lack of new exclusives on XSX.
A remake of a 11-year old game and a 10-hour expansion of a prior-gen game. Doesn't really qualify as killer next-gen apps.
You can tell the Bethesda news still got people shook. When its time nothing will stop the onslaught.

If only Microsoft has farmed out a port of a decade old game for launch, then it would be fine.
Said by salty Xbox fan. Demon's Souls is a totally revamped PS3 game for next-gen in full sense. And it is better than the original in every way.
Miles is no sluch either. Full standalone game with 15-20 hours of play ( main story + side quests). That's very decent for "expansion". LOL
And Miles is a better game than original Spiderman on PS4.
Ask me the same question in atleast 2 or so years, and I’ll have an answer. Too early yet for me to call it such.
I wanna see where MS is taking this train.
You don't, but it's a selling point of the console regardless, with the added benefit of running Xbone and prior gen games in an enhanced manner on XSX. With a lack of Halo Infinite, Microsoft clearly hammered that point, especially with the EA Play deal.
Its true and you know it. Deep down you know it and are trying to justify the money you wasted.
Yeh Well it would help if you actually read the points being discussed in this thread.
The point is that the Series X offers little new if you already have access to the Xbox ecosystem on a previously available device.
Quick resume and better performing BC are not enough for most people to spend money on the system. Most people want new experiences, unique experiences and innovation. If you don't want any of those things then I'm sure you'll be fine with the series X as it is at the moment but don't act all confused when other people don't share your views.
.Eh. Try again, mate - I own every Playstations.
According to How Long to Beat, Spiderman MM takes between 7-11 hours for the main story + side quest, with the full completion (i.e., doing all the bloat-y stuff) in c. 15 hours, so about half your estimate.
As for Souls, it still remains a game that's 2 gens old at its core, no matter how good the revamp.
You mean its just an amped up Xbox One and PS5 is a new console generation?
Who knew?
Can say the same of the ps5 currantly, performs better back compat titles and 2 titles you can’t play on last gen
