A perfect example of people thinking their tiny insignificant bubble is the center of the universe.
I would guess that outside of gaming almost nobody knows what the hell gamergate is. Even the most rabid ResetEra member would have a hard time compiling proof that GG is even remotely bad enough to be considered a hate group or terrorist threat or whatever.
Basically a small time scandal in the gaming community but because so many of these utter cunts live their lives entirely online they think it's this really huge big deal.
We live in a world of innumerable horrors but for these clowns the worst and most defining event of their lives is the time when the cool and slutty (so maybe there's a chance) hipster girl who likes videogames got called some bad names on the Internet.
It's actually pretty funny when you think about it. White Knights actually have "war stories" and reminisce about the great online battles. Gamergate. LOL. Its so small time and pathetic.

And what I love about this place is we talk about games first and foremost and all the other stuff is in the background. Yea only reason I mentioned the warnings is because I got 2 of them for bullshit reasons, the second of which was why I had them delete my account. It's a stupid message board but man those warnings pissed me off. If there's one thing I've always hated it's shitty message board mods power tripping because they can't take criticism or don't agree with something you wrote. Act like adults.

Quite a few LotR or Star Trek fans are adults, I'd even go as far as say both are aimed at older teens and adults rather than children. I do not think it is justified to associate genres as wide as science fiction and fantasy to a single age range. I'd say that the first two Ender books (Science Fiction) are among the best books I have ever read, with a very nice philosophical core.
