Patches are literally needed to play the game in a somewhat functioning state. Therefore you need online to download the patches. It's a live service game dude they literally have a roadmap, give it up. It's an embarrassment on all fronts.

Refund your copy of Cyberpunk you have right now, wait till the GOTY edition comes out with all DLCs and patches and buy it - Done, you no longer need internet to play Cyberpunk.

I would argue that people with poor internet connection already know better and aren't buying AAA games day one.

Thrust will return if they deliver a decent Witcher 4 or next project.
No matter if they manage to fix the game's image like Hello Games did with No Mans Sky, the damage is done and Cyberbug will be marked for ever.
Yep they will fix it is their responsability more than commitment, so as some people said before the best is wait for GOTY edition on consoles no matter if they release it by 2023. Its an RPG singleplayer game and those games never get old.
Meanwhile there will be plenty of nice games to play.

People who complain about bugs are complete minority. Skyrim sold truckloads, people screamed about bugs, till this day game is filled with shitload of bugs and no one cares.
By the time they will be releasing first DLC people will be jacking off to it furiously.
Reminds me a lot that LOL vote where community was asked to vote on some character or some shit. If you would read lol reddit you would think that chracters x y and z would win. Instead character d b a won. League of Legends reddit lost it shit and they demanded apology and shit. Riot provided them voting stats and from those stats their favorite characters had like 5% of total votes from which about 0.2% came from reddit....

I'm glad they adressed the issues and I'm very confident CDPR will turn this into something special.
Game is already bought, now I'll just wait until the next gen-patch. Plenty of stuff to play until then.

They promissed back in December 2 BIG updates to be released early this year: one in January and another one in February.
But from his words in this video, it seems that the next update won't be as significant as the February one.
They probably werent able to improve the game in a significant way yet, and are now hoping that the February patch will be the one to really make a difference.
So I wouldn't expect much from the next patch.
As I said before, you dont see developers saying "problems will be fixed in January's patch" because that's impossible, but they did it anyway back in December in order to calm investors and buyers.
Developers probably dont know what is causing those problems, so they have to research them and they find ways to correct them. It's something that usually takes months. It took more than 5 months or so in order to fix the Crookback Bog framerate in The Witcher 3, and that is like nothing compared to the problems that this game is facing right now.

they maybe will fix it in some ways on consoles but i will be far gone to other things really, as some people play games when they released , doesnt matter what you in later its just not coming back to good state, i mean they wont change engine code and make police more furious or NPC in street more smart , they wont do that, they just could fix some stuff, and lower res on last gen consoles so it would be playable. but thats not much fixing anything for some ppl. i dont see bugs on pc , so im good as it is , but im not sure i will jump on it for next gen even as it seems to be so late in year. maybe in sale.

They didn't want their pre-order numbers to take a hit so they released the game in a broken state anyway. That way they can cash in on millions of pre-orders and fix the game over the coming years with the intention to release videos like this to put out the flames.

if they just care about money then why didn't they release the game on november 19th? the preorder numbers took a hit with the latest delay. also they had already spent a lot of the marketing budget in ads. they even aired a keanu tv ad in the nba finals saying the game was releasing on november 19th
