CD Projekt Red CEO responds to Jason Schreiers bad article

Wait, i dont believe Jason thinks "poles speaking polish in a polish company" is something to worry about. And someone felt uncomfortable by this because they thought they could be talking about him/her? How insecure you have to be to see your co-workers speaking their native language and think "uh oh, they may be talking about me, we need to force them to speak english", if they wanted to talk about someone like this, they could do it behind their backs.

It is indeed a complaint that Schreier felt the need to include in this trainwreck of an article lol. That's what one calls "scraping the bottom of the barrel." 😂

Multilingual work environments are commonplace in companies that hire people from all over the world. What tends to happen is that people speaking the same language will tend to collaborate more and may have more limited interactions with the rest of the non-speaking staff. This isn't so much about fear of being the target of discussions in a language you don't speak, but more about feeling left out and missing valuable information.
It's important to emphasize though that this issue is relevant to most companies and I wouldn't think CDPR sticks out from the rest in that regard.

Not according to the complaint. And if they are not talking about important stuff, why bother?

I guess we could discuss what "uncomfortable" means in the context of the article. Anyway, I don't think CDPR is any different from the rest regarding this issue.

Random guy in Twitter? He’s the CEO of the company. Nice try, Jason.

Let me quote myself, if you don't mind:

The random guy on twitter (I don't think you would give him more credit than that) or the head of studio of CDPR who felt the need to provide some answers?

Here:
- "random guy on twitter" = Jason Schreier
- "the head of studio of CDPR" = Adam Badowski

Jason is getting cornered. He wrote news from the inside after interviewing 20 out of 500 right? Well the head of studio pointed it out and replied. And of course Jason being Jason doesn’t respond to it directly and takes another route to avoid it. Typical of him anyways, not the first time someone replies to him and he doesn’t reply back directly.

"How dare they not speak English??!" I wonder if Jason ever worked in any team that was multicultural? (No, that his barista is from Canada doesn't count.)
I don't think so based on that nonsense.

because executives never lie, even the ones caught lying, right?

The amount of mental gymnastics necessary to come to this kind of conclusion is baffling. We could write tons of books about cognitive dissonance based on your post.

I come from Poland. Two of my friend worked for CDPR some years ago during the TW2 development. Both were complaining about poor low salary and disorganization at the company.

It's not a secret that the founders of the company were selling software on CDs in the early 90s. Times goes by but people's mentality never changes. Their user-friendly strategy is just a cover.

Wait a second, did someone complain about two co workers talking in their native language? What a bitch lol, I work with Hispanics and Africans and they speak their language all the time and I don't think I never thought "Are they talking about about me?". Someone must be insecure about themselves or their job performance.

He allegedly requested an interview along with answers prior to the article but couldn't get either. Now Adam Badowski decided to provide answers to some of the points, while seemingly ignoring the rest of the article.

About the 20 out of 500, that's a fine subset to get a feeling of things. Do you really expect him or anyone to get feedback from the entire staff of CDPR?
