GOW 2018 is my best game of all time! The reboot is just what I wanted from the title to be to evolve.

...but I loved MGS and hated GoW.

That MGS was shockingly beyond its era, it reshaped the gaming industry from being too basic and simple to much more complex story-telling. If I had to choose one game at its time/influence, I would say nothing beats the shockwaves that MGS made.

Directed by Sal Divita of the NBA Jam/NFL BLitz design team. And lead combat designer (Nick Nicastro) who went on to become a Senior Designer for the last two Injustice Games and the last two Mortal Kombats.

air juggling, 40 hit combos, grapples/strikes/submissions/dives/springboards that chain into each other. Even a decade later this game is way better than it had any business being.
