I love Angle but he's done. There's nothing that can beat him jumping ship and headbutting Samoa Joe while still being able to go.
He's probably not the AEW announcement because I doubt they would just let him spoil the news, but the thought of him taking bumps again makes me cringe. If he can fix his knees, I'd prefer to see him in a managerial role.

So apparently a pic of the mysterious signing has leaked. John Cena rehearsing his entrance

Anyone watching Young Rock? The stuff in the 80s with the old WWF wrestlers is great. The Iron Sheik scene in Ep3 is perfect.

Solid show, ending seems botched. Sounds like the big bang just didn't fire and they weren't prepared enough to quick tell Eddie and Jon not to sell it (As Eddie wasn't able to see what happened). I mean it sucks cause the match was solid before the ending, could just have Kenny come out laughing at Mox on Wednesday saying he set it up to make them look dumb. They may need to film something to air on Wednesday to truly write Mox off of TV though since the big explosion would have been that.

Only real duds, and not that I'm surprised were the "special signees". Christian? Seriously? He's too old for the midcard title, and too pathetic for their World Title picture. He'll just be a waste of a segment, since he's been in the WWE ecosystem for far too long to be able to have wrestling classics with the indy talent in AEW. He's a midcarder without a place there so whatever, should not have built him up as anything. A 47yr old signing is supposed to matter? And Ethan Page? I honestly know nothing of him, and he did absolutely nothing in this match to make me give 2 shits about him.

Other then the surprises, only thing I didn't like was the Womens title match. It was boring, and far too much no selling. I like Shida, but I'm over her as champ, they have been awful at booking womens champions so far and until they realize that Britt should be carrying this division since SHE CAN CUT A PROMO AS WELL AS WRESTLE! it'll continue to suck.

They're trying to play it off as if the wet fart ending was intentional. Which makes no sense considering the announcers and Kingston sold the whole thing like it was absolute death.

Interesting, I mean there's not alot of options here so maybe they make something of it. Can just sell some PTSD shit with Eddie and the explosions and anticipation being why he "passed out". I mean it sucks we didn't get the big explosion we should have, but I think trying to turn this into something is better then just pretending it was big when we all know it wasn't. Commentary can't be fixed, but it isn't like we watch AEW for JR or Tonys awful commentary anyways :messenger_tears_of_joy:

Strong TNA vibes going for AEW at the moment. In bad ways. Christian coming in. A technical botch... IDK are we sure Dixie and Russo aren't working behind the scenes?

There was a lot to like in last night's show, including the actual match in the main event which was great. But unfortunately that show gets a D- from me, and only if I am being generous on the grading curve. The surprise signing(s) and the last two minutes were just awful. It was like whoever booked the show intentionally decided to add the worst parts of WWE and old school TNA into the show. Overhype a WWE has been that no one cares about? Check. Cinematic match to hide the fact a participant should be collecting social security instead of wrestling, while narrating it as if it were live? Check. Absurd storyline that suggests someone might get murdered? Check.

I'm not abandoning AEW over one show, but that last two minutes in particular have me really worried. Somehow, despite all that talent backstage, no one was able or allowed to signal to Kingston that he should stop pretending to be knocked into a coma by some sparklers and smoke bombs that never went near him? That ending was right up there with the worst wrestling storylines of all time.

Yeah I wouldn't go as far to give the show that bad a grade, somewhere in the B to B- range for me personally. Yes, the ending was bad, but haven't almost every one of these "Death matches" over the past couple decades had issues like this? I mean, it's not like they are testing out a bomb and then repackaging it. It was a bad idea to have the explosion thing from the start, but apparently the only way they can write off Dean for a while is to murder him since Tony has such a rock hard boner for the man that death is the only way to get Mox off of TV.

Pre-Show tag match was fun, I have no clue why they continue to waste Britt on this feud with someone from NWA when she should already have knocked off Shida. All 4 of the women in this match are solid, and hopefully we get more from them all, and less Nyla Rose.

Bucks match was good, went as expected with Fat2J taking the fall so he can be kicked out of IC, Bucks move on, MJF looked great as well as the Bucks.

Battle Royale was solid, but I feared that Pac/Fenix were going to win since they are levels above everybody else in the match, but was still solid. Uno had the bad botch, but in hindsight had he went immediately he'd have dropped a 3 foot tall 60 pound kick some 8 feet straight onto his head. Bad spot, Marko needs to go, he brings NOTHING to the table. Otherwise, usual Rumble spots, not sure why I'd care about QT turning on Golddust, somebody needs to tell Cody that not every member of his 50 person "family" stable needs TV time. Jungle Boy is set to be a singles star the second they stop wasting time on the tag team. He will be great in the TNT title picture soon I hope.

Womens Title match, I guess I'm in the minority cause this was the only match I did not enjoy. I didn't see this "Stiff as hell Japanese style match" that all of Reddit watched. I saw two women that haven't worked together in a while put on a sloppy match with a 100% known outcome going into the match with too many kickouts of finishers. All around I thought this match was horrible, and I'm to the point where Shida having the belt and being booked this strong is doing more damage to the division then good. IF your whole division is kind of weak you need more then 1 title change a year, since the belt can be used to help elevate a superstar. Shida doesn't need it to look strong, others could. I'm ready for a Britt title reign where her size can help her look even bigger then she is against all the japanese babyfaces they have.

Miro tag match was fine, probably would have been better after the Battle Royale to keep some hype going with the prematch beatdown then after a boring long womens match. Miro looked good here finally, and hoping the seeds are laid for him to turn on Kip cause this team is a complete waste of a dude that can get over on his own huge.

Money Match was good, went as expected, until I was reading comments that people thought a good turn would have been DO coming out to help Hangman only to turn on him and have Matt as the new DO leader....that's the world I want more then Hangman hanging out with DO being a bunch of nerds. Hangman looked good, although all his matches go the same, and Matt is Matt...I mean what do you expect from such an old guy with so many miles...but hey 47 year old fucking Christian is here....so bleh

Ladder match was decent, although I think they've done much better ones. I understand that match was partially a way to write Cody off for a while, but I just can't take this much Cody overcoming the odds to almost win and still look good. Cody is literally my 2nd least favorite AEW performer behind OC so good riddance. Archer looked like a monster, but I feel like they struggle to know what to do with him, much like Brodie when he was there. Archer is too good to just be the big dude in the multiman matches, but not on the level for Main Event (Although I think he is). Ethan Page was such a letdown, dude won't make a single difference in an already overcrowded midcard. He'll likely get himself an indy partner and be random who cares tag team #48. Loved Scorpio winning, because he's the only one that made any sense. I hope this leads to him taking the belt off Darby and turning heel in the process, cause Darby has been a waste as champion, and he's a one trick pony as far as what he can do. You can't just force a Jeff Hardy, you let it organically happen, and I think AEW has failed with him and OC as pushing them too fast before they are there.

Movie Match - I was entertained, but these aren't matches, my wife said it reminded her of Lucha Underground and I miss that kind of show where it was some wrestling and some soap opera. This was the way you were gonna get a Sting match, you knew Sting was winning, and you knew Starks was there to eat the pin. Cage looked like a monster in this, Starks doesn't really look any worse for losing to Sting, and Darby falls off stuff. Now get that belt onto somebody who will defend it.

Main Event- I didn't hide the fact that I wasn't looking forward to this because I think these matches are dumb, and maybe it's because of just how far away the explosions were from them when they went off that I got a chuckle out of the theatrics. Didn't understand how after a few explosions one side just didn't go off anymore? Alot of blood, but that was just bad blading, match was actually well done, wasn't a fan of Kenny taking a DDT through the barb wire board head first, but it could have been worse. Liked the finish, although the GB were out there a little too long, quick interference leading to the OWA through the chair would have been enough, but "Gotta Keep Mox Strong" is now a thing I guess. Ending is what it is, yes it was lame, and honestly we should have expected it to be. At no point were they going to put Mox/Eddie in a situation where they could have been blown up for real. I'm shocked there wasn't a pre planned "Plan B" since these spots never seem to go as planned. Jerry Lynn being in ECW I'm pretty sure he had to be there for 1 of their 2 blown Death Match bombs should have told them it didn't go and it would play better into the "Kenny build a dud" story we will get.

Overall I liked it outside of the bomb dud, and the two new signings duds. Those mistakes are on AEW, people would have been more hyped for Christian had they not advertised a HOF level talent (Sorry him on his own is not), and they should have just told us about the Page signing. Another gripe is stop having mystery guys in your Battle ROyales and Ladder matches if they aren't going over, they gain nothing from being in the match and losing in a debut.

My biggest takeaway from Revolution is that of all things it was just too long. The build up to the final match was a real slog as there were just too many matches on the card that really didn't amount to PVP matches/storylines.

-Pre show female match was the best female match of the night.

-I love Hikaru Shida but she's beaten everybody and can't cut a promo, Britt Baker is clearly the biggest womens AEW draw both in charisma and in advertising. She's the most entertaining woman a mile away, if we're not getting Britt vs Shida it's all a waste at this point

-Casino Tag Team Match was entertaining start to finish

-Miro/Kip vs Best friends feels forced and recycled at this point, Miro continues to feel like a wasted asset in everything he does, he should be one of the top heels of AEW

-Sting/Darby..... I was so curious to see what Stinger would actually look like, now I know. If this is the way they intend to use him ie movie-matches and live trench coat appearances w/bat I think we can shut it down now

-Face of Revolution - I like Scorpio Sky, he just has no personality.....complete wasted opportunity for Lance Archer or Penta who shine every damn night

-Big Money Match - was there any chance Hardy would ever win? Cowboy feels like another wasted asset at this point, had to further diminish Hardy by having private party try to save him....just bad waste of time

-Young Bucks/MJFJericho quality match, quality work from all parties with the end result leading to significant storyline impact which can't be said for many other matches

-Main Event - DISAPPOINTED! Not because of the botched finish but because the match Mox and Kenny gave us before was the best match AEW has ever had, from start to finish felt like a step down from their horrific diving into the barbed wire bed of their first match requiring assistance to pull them out

-Disappointed because of all the ways they could've ended it is with a return to Eddie "I HAVE NO FUCKING BUSINESS HERE" Kingston once again being placed in storyline with somebody far exceeding his screen value.

-Disappointed because Kenny Omega is the most talented wrestler in AEW being marginalized as the champion

-Disappointed because the storyline did not progress an inch from where it was 2 months ago

I'm not sure if Tony Khan is really interested in putting on great shows or satisfying his wrestling fanboyism from a child. So much amazing talent on AEW roster that should be going head to head because that's what great talent does, instead they're trying to be more like WWE and give filler matches on the live show and filler matches on PPV. Roster needs to be cut, not increased.... AEW started so great when you got GREAT every show, it's not that they can't anymore, they're choosing bad matches to present

I'm not following your train of thought. But at least they have Bobby and Drew. Other than that . . . . . . . . .
Just like Shane and Braun at fastlane to make it bigger but like it could be at wrestlemania, but it’s weird to do a WM build before fastlane I guess.

Ok now I get what you meant. It's definitely possible they do it on Fastlane, but if they did it would probably end with a cheap finish to save the big jump for the big show.

It may sounds ridiculous that they are leading towards Braun and Shane at WM, but it is practically a certainty now. And they actually do have a history of building WM up months in advance, and I think they even did a year in advance one year with Cena and Rock.

Well there’s only one week lol. If he mad he might ask for a match asap. But Braun does the back area stuff and they did it yesterday. They called him stupid so like doing shit for 4 weeks would make him stupid?

There seems to be worse drug abuse in WWE these days. I think there were reports of Roman Reigns not passing a drug test or something years ago. Or someone. Or their was a drug testing scandal in general leading to lax testing.

Watched the last two weeks of Dynamite and I love it now.

Just found out the TNT Apple TV app streams both the East and West Coast feed, so I can watch it live tonight!

MJF just keeps getting better.

Time for women's tag title belts.

And I have no idea what they are thinking with Christian. Whatever value he might have brought seems gone already. His reveal was a let down, and last night was no better. He is carrying himself like someone who has been considered a top single's wrestler for a long time, but I don't think many fans saw him that way ever to be honest.

That's what I don't get. You want to call him part of a HoF tag team guy, sure...but a singles guy that can move the interest needle? He NEVER has been that guy, he's what you're 2K create a wrestler would look like if you remove 50 pounds of muscle and anything that might make him seem charismatic.

As much as I love AEW, they seem to just not know what to do or the value of each ex-WWE guy they bring over. Miro is a guy that organically got over at least twice in his WWE run...and the final time he was the most over guy in the company. Hell I still loved OG Rusev before Cena added another name to his bury belt.

If you wanted to bring in an Ex-WWE guy and push him into the title picture, it wasn't Dean I'm so Boring Ambrose, it is mother f'ing Miro, not I'm the worst part of E&C, and only got 1 quick 1 week run because my BFF Edge had to retire.

MJF was great again last night, I don't like Spears in the group, but Codys Friends gotta keep getting chances to be on TV when they don't deserve to be enhancement talent on Dark, but I suppose they need somebody for Sammy to beat? FTR hopefully can get some real time to shine more, as I honestly think they are the best tag team in all of wrestling and should be showcased, I hope this is that chance.

IC as faces seems...dumb? Jericho I get, but he needed to go away first. Hager? lol, he has no ability to be a babyface. Sammy? I guess, but he's better as a douchebag heel. I think Santana and Ortiz are in that same boat, but they could work for all the wrong reasons (Lean into the comedy stuff with Ortiz). I assume we get another Blood and Guts match with these two groups and maybe IC slowly disbands and they can all focus on themselves.
