I think there was a deal like this that lasted a few days and you had to jump on it right away. It was a glitch or something. Good dealHow do.you get 3 years for a 1$?

If they do another deal like this it’s 2 weeks more than the gp $1 was ever available for I think.Once PSNow gets the Pringles promotions, we know Gamepass is done.
Off the top of my head, the new dirt game is on there. What is this next gen you are talking about
Dirt is not next gen. My cup of tea or notOff the top of my head, the new dirt game is on there.
It may not be your cup of tea and I won't argue that but you asked if next gen games are on there, and there is.

Actually it’s still available. I guess it’s been going on for a while. Jump on it, they may close it if too many people find out about it.How do.you get 3 years for a 1$?
That counts. DeS remake is a PS3 game and MM is cross gen DLC. But dirt countsDirt is not next gen. My cup of tea or not
So I need to buy 3 years worth of xbox live and then pay the 1 dollar to change it? That would equal one year of 15$ ultimate so it's definitely a better deal.Actually it’s still available. I guess it’s been going on for a while. Jump on it, they may close it if too many people find out about it.
sony needs a ps+ ultimate sub for $100 a year.
Of course. It’s expired now but this is madness (in a positive way)! I bought today this 1 month promotion and to put it mildly, I’m overwhelmed by the number of quality games that I haven’t played throughout the years but plan to now. Big problem is how to cram everything in one month because there’s at least 20 must-play games and it‘s gonna be near impossible to give everything attention it deserves. So, for a start, I’m doing Detroit: Become Human and loving it so far. Next is Until Dawn, Doom, Tekken 7, Ace Combat 7 and there’s whole bunch of other stuff I only glimpsed. I mean, I see F1 2020 there ffs. If I only eat, game and sleep every day, I couldn’t do it all. Maybe I’ll just drop another tenner after this month and finish everything I need.
It’s like PS Plus on massive steroids and basically free. Crazy stuff.
Too lazy to check but the deal was on for at least a year and a half. It started in in summer 2019 and was still going on in late 2020. I did it myself later in 2019.I think there was a deal like this that lasted a few days and you had to jump on it right away. It was a glitch or something. Good deal

Don't know if it's still going on in 2021.
On MS site you can still upgrade to GPU for $1, but dont know if it converts all Gold months to GPU.
Not sure what you mean. EA Play is already $30/yr on its own. So people get charged an extra $30 if they do the $1 upgrade now?I've seen IGN and Digital Foundry post on twitter about converting EA access for about 30 bucks a year

I remember this now. It looks like your activation is what I remember if you got existing GPU.I did this about a two weeks ago. I'd already redeemed the $1 GPU offer so let it expire. Bought 30 months of Gold from cdkeys for £100. Redeemed it. Bought 1 month of GPU for £14.99 and now have GPU until Dec '23 iirc - winner, winner, chicken dinner.

All of the games are available to purchase, and no company really has a reason to not continue to do that.Fucks sake...
Got to wonder where all the shill threads are for EA Play or humble choice (where you get to keep your games permanently by the way) are whenever they are on discount.
There was once a perception that console only gamers are dirty and broke but what I didn't realise was that it's to the extent that people are now willing to fornicate over what are essentially rental services.
Talk about completely bending over and relinquishing what little control you had left of your DRM box. We're approaching end-game now.
All of the games are available to purchase, and no company really has a reason to not continue to do that.
As you said.. rental services, one of the main hopes being you buy games as they leave.
People are so damn dramatic about options... physical rental services have always existed, did you tell people they were "relinquishing control?"
It's not a glitch lol, it says it right in their terms and conditions that any gold time will be converted into gamepass ultimate time.It was a glitch or something.
Totally. All of the games are available to purchase, and no company really has a reason to not continue to do that.

The reality is that the option to also purchase will no longer be there in the future. Ask any business anywhere whether they would prefer one off purchases or repeatable and reliable monthly income and they will always tell you the latter.
If you want to see where all of this is heading then look at how iracing is structured. I've been a subscriber there for ages and I can tell you it sucks and once you get to a certain pint it's essentially a trap. But why do hundreds of thousands of people do it? Because there's no other option, and that's where we are heading with these things.
They might tell people otherwise now to keep the momentum going but the "only available via gamepass or PS Now games" will arrive before the end of the generation. They took the liberty of making people pay for online so why does anyone think this will be different?
I bet the vast majority of anti-gaming sub gamers have NF or Spotify. Or even both. Or some other music or tv plan.Movie sub businesses didn't stop companies from selling movies.. music sub services didn't stop anyone from selling music either, and that is almost entirely pointless since most of them have 100% of the music lol
I think PS Now has good games, I tried a little bit of God of War and Vampyr. But quality of stream is quite poor even with fast connection (over 100Mbps).
Game that is mostly night like Vampyr combined with fact that compression algorithms tend to compress dark areas more gives really bad image quality overall. I think game streaming services might need to have some kind of integration with the game engine so that game can tell which areas of the screen are more important instead "just" using psychovisual heuristics.
Friday nights going to blockbusters to get 2 or 3 games for the weekend was amazing times, even better when you end up going out with the lass who works there and she "forgets" to put the games you want out on the shelf so no one else can take them before you....Totally.
And here I thought everyone at some point rented movies and games from Blockbuster or the local video store.
nonononoon not if its on PS! FooOoOOoOOoolBut $1 gamepass is horrible for gaming, right?
This is just.. I don't know how to say it without being insulting, way off base IMO. You can't compare a single game going to a sub model (I guess that's what iRacing is?) to an entire platform. I mean you can, but you realize you are comparing 2 incredibly different things?
They all want that monthly repeated income for sure; it's huge business. They all also are happy to sell games at $60,70 or $90/100 (season passes, special editions, etc.)
At this point for $15 they are offering a tiny fraction of what is on the market, and it's temporary for the vast majority of it, and mostly old games.... Get much higher than $15 / month and you lose mass acceptance of your service, and then what is the point?
Gaming sub services will always involve encouragement to spend loads of money outside of the service, and that won't just be microtransactions, there will be games not available at all, not available for years, or available only temporary and you'll be encouraged to buy them when they leave.
Movie sub businesses didn't stop companies from selling movies.. music sub services didn't stop anyone from selling music either, and that is almost entirely pointless since most of them have 100% of the music lol

Ah. So it’s always .03 cents a month? Good way to add subsIt's not a glitch lol, it says it right in their terms and conditions that any gold time will be converted into gamepass ultimate time.
I mean I paid $1 for 3 years of gamepass, so there’s that.
Kinda, every new sub still gets the 1$ offer, but it's the normal price for anyone who already made use of it.Ah. So it’s always .03 cents a month? Good way to add subs
There's a lot of great PS4 games for new gamers or people that don't subscribe to PS Plus. Lots of exclusives. It's actually impressive but people here won't let you have a positive thread about PS Now, as you can see by the replies.
I'm playing God of War Ascension on streaming and it looks good enough for me on a 4k screen.
Does PSNow offer games for download on PC? I really don't wanna stream them.
Feel free to bookmark and revisit in the future. If I'm wrong I'll gladly admit it because that would actually mean the gaming industry is an outlier in this overall trend of businesses transitioning to subscription based service models - that would be a positive thing as it would mean things would stay as they are today.

Apparently you can keep doing it?nah, $1 gamepass and abusing the gold>gamepass deal beats it by a huge margin
Not with the same account, unless there's a new promo.Apparently you can keep doing it?
what are you talking about? what games you download? For a dollar i figured id try it
I downloaded a few games and the input lag is too noticeable for my tastes
I have pretty good internet
so its distance to data center or something probably
if you want to play something turn based go for it maybe
Hmmm, my internet is pretty similar to this. Where are the data centers. I'm in Chicago, maybe it'll be better for me.For a dollar i figured id try it

dont worry about that, you can pretty much download every game and play like any other game you own with the exception of ps3 games of course.Hmmm, my internet is pretty similar to this. Where are the data centers. I'm in Chicago, maybe it'll be better for me.
I'm interested in trying this because most of my games are multiplayer and therefore on Xbox's platform mainly. Basically what this means is that I may get more out of PSNow than Gamepass to an extent because there's simply more games I haven't played on Sony's platform. I mainly have a PS4 for the exclusives, but there's some exclusives I just didn't get, like Dayz Gone and Detroit Become Human. So this is still intriguing.
The comment doesn't make sense. Any games downloaded are played natively on your system.what are you talking about? what games you download?
You can do it again on the same account but you have to wait until your subscription ends. If you renew Gold while GPU is active you only get 4 months. I have it again until 2024 with the 1$ promoApparently you can keep doing it?
