No Raytracing was being used (visually) in the demo though. He's not technical director, so he doesn't understand much technical terms. We need to interview tech director from GG.

Spiderman uses temporal injection (mostly 1440P+TI in performance mode) not CB.
Or bait and switch marketing mode.We should call the 30FPs mode premium mode then.
60 FPS 1080p
Or bait and switch marketing mode.
That's what I've been saying? If 60fps is so good, then why do they even spend time making the higher quality mode with more density, better lighting, and better resolution? Oh, that's right, because some people care about image quality. So why have a 30fps mode at all? And why demo the 30fps version? More than likely it doesn't look as good and the framerate is not stable. It's a 30fps game and they've targeted a 60fps performance mode.
That's because you think Ray Tracing means reflections. I think there's ray traced global illumination going on. Look at the tree trunks and how they light up underneath from the bounce lighting off the sand. The lighting looks next gen to me in HFW. I think that's from global illumination. No Raytracing was being used (visually) in the demo though.

He's just looking for reflections. In my opinion, I think there's ray traced global illumination, but I obviously can't confirm that either. It seems like you can spot bounce lighting from the sun hitting the sand and then back onto other objects in the scene. Even DF mentioned some bounce lighting. What is your source on this?
It's not.How is that false marketing if both modes are available on the PS5?
Halo Infinite is going to be 4K and 60FPS on Xbox Series X, with 120FPS targeted in multiplayer. What console is powerful enough to go full 4k and 60 fps with crossgen titles?
Neither NXGamer or Digital Foundry noticed any Raytracing in the demonstration. What is your source on this?
Better than reconstructed 4k/30.60 FPS 1080p
Gears 5 Hivebusters is 4K most of the time (dynamic res takes it to 1800p sometimes) and 60 fps with no stuttering or anything. What console is powerful enough to go full 4k and 60 fps with crossgen titles?
Yeah it’s totally happening! Even WD Legion got a 60fps patch. What’s left now, The Medium?Good, 30FPS needs to completely die this gen.
Neither NXGamer or Digital Foundry noticed any Raytracing in the demonstration.
Global illumination in this is not Raytraced global illumination. I no idea about Returnal though. They didn't notice it in Returnal either but it's there. You can't just eyeball the lighting and tell if it's using raytracing or not..

If its that hard to spot then whats the point anyway?.They didn't notice it in Returnal either but it's there. You can't just eyeball the lighting and tell if it's using raytracing or not..
I said the same thing after seeing how well R* did with RDR2's lighting model, then seeing the jump with UE5's GI model. Those are so good and not worth the horsepower sacrifice this gen.If its that hard to spot then whats the point anyway?.
Like I said Digital Foundry and NXGamer made no mention of Raytracing being used, and I will take their words over yours, you with all due respect have no idea do you? What are you talking about? You have no idea how they are using raytracing in their engine.
It's extremely possible and likely they are using it to enhance global illumination.
I mean if RT wasnt so demanding then fine, go for it, but i still dont think its worth the resources.I said the same thing after seeing how well R* did with RDR2's lighting model, then seeing the jump with UE5's GI model. Those are so good and not worth the horsepower sacrifice this gen.
THEY HAVE NO IDEA, they are literally just looking at the footage we are looking at and saying "Well we didn't notice it". They aren't going around claiming there is no raytracing being used in rendering, that's your extrapolation. It's not my word. it's the devs.Like I said Digital Foundry and NXGamer made no mention of Raytracing being used, and I will take their words over yours, you with all due respect have no idea do you?
Because it can be used to make the current methods fasters and a bit more accurate even if it's not a complete and total overhaul. If its that hard to spot then whats the point anyway?.
If Sony want me to build a gaming PC don't toy with me just tell me lol.60 FPS 1080p

1080P-1440Pyeah, but what is the resolution?
What was Demon Souls 1440p60fps? That's acceptable, why aren't people gunning for that?
Framerate > VisualsIt'll be locked to 30FPS if you want it to look as good as that gameplay demo they showed-off a few days ago.
I understand that, but surely the ps5 has enough grunt to perform at 1440p60fps?Demon Souls is not an open world.
Open worlds are the most taxing types of game.

It did a fraction of the 1st Spideman because people aren’t as dumb as Sony think. But it didnt well much at launch, you like speaking out of your ass? It did a fraction of 1st Spiderman on launch despite being on PS4/PS5. It has been top charts every month, mainly on pro PS5 splits.
In all honesty I don't know what to believe anymore. I know I won't pay £70 for a 1080p60 game. 1440p60fps is the bare minimum for me.Both optimization and graphic settings play a huge role here. Increasing the number of consoles to support just reduce this chances.
Look at the PS4 launch titles for example. Do you really think they are what they are without removing PS3 from the table?

They've already said the 30 Hz mode is 4K.My guess:
Perf mode: 1440p CB to 4k, 60 fps
Quality mode 1440p, 30 fps, more bells and whistles like in Spidey MM
This is and has never been true.Framerate > Visuals

It uses DRS, goes down to 1512p in worst case scenarios according to Eurogamer. At it again. It's native 4K with RT with temporal injection to higher than 4K for AA.

Well, the fidelity mode delivers a native 4K output at 30 frames per second, which is combined with Insomniac's brilliant temporal upscaling solution for a supremely crisp image. You wouldn't think this is necessary at 4K, but this combination eliminates most aliasing and there is a tangible boost in clarity across the game when compared to PlayStation 4. |
In your opinion. This is and has never been true.
Graphics have always been the highlight of a new generation over framerate from the start of time.In your opinion.
This is and has never been true.
Its a fact actually. Graphics have always been the main selling point of new consoles. lmao. yall framerate nerds trying to deny facts now
With global illumination, it's hard to tell if it's baked or real-time. You can fake GI pretty easily with static lighting, but in an open world such as this with day/night cycles, you need a real time solution, so they could very well be using RT GI.If its that hard to spot then whats the point anyway?.
It's not.
Again, its on on top of the charts every week since. With uncharacteristic pro; PS5 splits. I havent bought the game myself, I preordered the deluxe r&c: rift apart. But youre just spewing nonsense. It did a fraction of the 1st Spideman because people aren’t as dumb as Sony think.
