Think someone posted the plot where they mentioned he is probably that angry that he kills Garland and then turns into Chaos himself because of his hatred, it all makes senseEdit: After rewatching this seems to be the end of the game? Even then nothing makes sense.
But Garland turned into Chaos by absorbing the four fiends so by absorbing Garland wouldn't he turn into a being other than Chaos considering its now them + him, NeoChaos? Who are they anyway? They're not the four warriors of light, are they some random dudes that hated Chaos? So, they're from the past? Or did they also time travel? And if they didn't who is that voice that says Garland is some lost warrior? But they can't know that if they didn't time travel considering Garland is from 200 years in the future. In this time he would just be Chaos? So, are they connected to the 4 warriors? Do, they not exist here. So did these 3 defeat the fiends?Think someone posted the plot where they mentioned he is probably that angry that he kills Garland and then turns into Chaos himself because of his hatred, it all makes sense
I'm going to be honest to you, I don't think Nojima is thinking about this that deeply in relation to FF1.But Garland turned into Chaos by absorbing the four fiends so by absorbing Garland wouldn't he turn into a being other than Chaos considering its now them + him, NeoChaos? Who are they anyway? They're not the four warriors of light, are they some random dudes that hated Chaos? So, they're from the past? Or did they also time travel? WHAT IS HAPPENING?
....
I've gotta stop thinking about this in relation to FF1....
It's likely the start. The PC is still in his starting class outfit lol.Edit: After rewatching this seems to be the end of the game? Even then nothing makes sense.
Jack looks straight out of FFXV Comrades' character creator.
That’s how you know a story is truly 2deep4u. When they use some Ominous-Sounding Proper Noun at least once per sentence."We are here to kill Chaos."
"We have to kill Chaos."
"Die, Chaos creature!"
"You sure Chaos is here bro?"
"Yep, totally sure, this is Chaos' castle, that's Chaos' altar Chaos is def in here."
"WhaaaaaAAAAaaggh!"
"We have a physical need to kill Chaos!"
"No seriously bro, where's Chaos at? We need to kill it!"
"Hey you, there! Are you perchance Chaos?"
I'm fucking dying, who edited this shit
If you look at just his face, it actually looks almost exactly like William from Nioh 1.Nah looks like the Nioh2 character creator, which is really pretty good.
I imagine this is one of the reasons why Nomura and Kitase decided to boot Cyber Connect 2 from Final Fantasy 7 Remake. Imagine if this was the type of bullshit we had to deal with the Remake. Too bad it didn't go the same way with whatever the hell Team Ninja and Koei Tecmo did here.
I can't stand it at all tbh. It's ugly design. Even the oversize guns in Gears of War looks retarded to me. Only Cloud gets a pass for nostalgia reasons. They've overused it, now it's sort of played out.
The only thing that will make a giant sword wielding protagonist interesting for me is if the gameplay were to feature a robust physics engine for all of the weapons and battle system.
A giant anime sword with the simulated physical properties of what you'd expect form a giant slab of iron or what have you. Now that would be sick!
Oh I hope you're right!!I bet you guys will be eating your words. I believe this game ends up being solid.
Same thing, I cannot play it on PS5.demo file is corrupted. Probably a good indication lol.
I am redownloading it this morning. I haven't had a chance to see of it's fixed yet.I was gonna ask if anyone actually got the chance to play the demo. Or is it still Chaos?
With the memory of their struggle buried deep in their hearts...
Jack and his allies, Ash and Jed, burn with resolve to defeat Chaos as they throw open the gates to the Chaos Shrine. Yet doubts remain—are they truly the Warriors of Light the prophecy foretold?
Step into a world of dark fantasy and revel in the exhilarating, action-packed battles.
Trial version available on PlayStation 5 until June 24th, 2021.
Coming 2022 for Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, and PS5.
Overall, this looks pretty terrible. I’d rather have something like this any day than “brave and stunning” SJW trash, though.
Keep us posted sir.I am redownloading it this morning. I haven't had a chance to see of it's fixed yet.
Edit: After rewatching this seems to be the end of the game? Even then nothing makes sense.
Only Capcom is king in Japan now.
story is based on the original FF1. SE assumed fans familiar with it. this seems to have caused confusion with many. SE forgot that most FF fans are only familiar with #7 and after. the scene is a recreation of an encounter in the original game.
So has the demo actually been playable for anybody?
Seems like a complete bastardization of FF1 IMO. FF1 had some time travel paradox crap going on. The main characters look real stupid in comparison to Garland's iconic design.
Characters turning enemies into red crystals and being angery towards everything makes them more villainous then Garland is.
gameplay bits looked interesting actually with the job/class system. No but I think we're dodging a huge bullet here.
Won't need to reveal much for FF veterans that know the story. New audience is going to be confused as hell.barley anything to revel about the story other than to interduce Garland and the warriors of light.
This would be cringe as hell if done by the best director. But Nomura has a gift for making even the simplest story into a needlessly convoluted clusterfuck, paired with dialog that way too hard to be deep and emotional yet it ends up so corny it makes Twilight look like Shakespeare in comparison.Won't need to reveal much for FF veterans that know the story. Punk boy band takes on armor clad medieval knight. The cringe is unreal.

I felt shame just watching the trailer.

The bigger cringe is you getting jimmies rustled over someone else getting their jimmies rustled. The biggest cringe here is you getting your jimmies rustled over fidelity to a 1987 NES game.
