It's so much fun Kojima San does all this stuff, really funny, very nice co-op with Sony too, this is true strength.

Look you think Geoff would even mention this dev if it was not Kojima San... Also Kojima's on the show, telling about his past games comming true, and he doesn't want that for his next game because if it was, that would mean we'd all go to Silent Hill, which would be hell, so lets hope it really doesn't come true... Super entertaining.

Why would Konami ever wanted to get under fire to please Kojimbos shizo ideas?

Still #TeamReal tho
Profits. They saw one way to make a lot of money spending as little as possible. Games are around the same budget as movies now.
In the 90's and early 2000's it was manageable.
Kojima was the eccentric, perfectionist one and after going way over budget with MGS5, they saw no need to keep doing it.
Pachinko was the way to go.

Same thing as the plague that cellphone games MTX did, infesting full releases with MTX and the whole GaaS thing.
Let's see the results of Gamepass down the road...

These are corporations first and foremost. Even Nintendo aims for money with their overpriced hardware.
They won't have a competing hardware, because they figured that staying on mobile space, they don't have to.

WHOA! See I never knew Geoff was that involved with P.T. and other things that Kojima has done with him. I always thought Kojima sent him an email a week before the marketing push to get Geoff on board.
That's why I was dead set on #TeamReal from the beginning.
There were posts in here a long time ago mentioning how Sony was trying to make amends between Kojima and Konami.
Sadly I can't look deeper into it now because work, but this is nothing new. The rumors between Sony and Konami, MGS Remake and so on.

No it's not.. because loads of blog posts get made that get zero attention.

This one just happened to.. loads of blog posts get posted that dont get neogaf threads.. this one did..

Why? Because it was labeled a PS5 Exclusive.
Can you show us just

other example of a PS Blog being given to a dev the calibre of Hasan/BlueBox games?

I don't mean to shit on Hasan since he seems like a really decent guy, but as I said before the calibre of his game development history/portfolio is honestly not even on par with some people in college who do game dev degrees when they submit assignments etc... I went back through all the blog posts that were put up this year, probably over 100 and clicked on a few of the random ones with low comments and low likes that were for nothing indie games and literally every single one was made by a dev that was at least established to some degree even by indie standards.

You keep ignoring this but can't explain why other indie devs have confirmed that the vetting process of blogs is hard, that an industry expert like Geoff also stated that he "couldn't figure out" why Hasan/BlueBox games was being "pretty good placement by Sony" given their lack of stature and finally can't cite another example of a indie dev as unknown and unexperienced as BlueBox being given a blog post.

I can list right now countless indie games on itch.io that have better portfolios than Hasan/BlueBox and have actually created and released more polished games for FREE. You're telling me that none of those wouldn't kill for the exposure of PS Blog? If it's as easy a random guy in his bedroom getting one then why haven't these indie devs and the COUTNLESS others like them being getting them as well over the years?

about him being "ready" to make a game for stadia lol
btw last time I checked he wasn't strapped for cash
You seem to have a misunderstanding of hoe game development works. Not strapped for cash??? You think he pays for these games in yen out of his own pocket?

And I can share articles on the rumors.

Also in his words:

“I’m very interested in the new format of game that will appear on [streaming],” said Kojima. “And that’s what I want to take on.”

The platforms that have the ability to do that is Xbox, Stadia and soon to be Luna.

What streaming capability does Sony not have? They have game streaming over PS Now, they stream video through multiple services, you can stream directly from your console and allow others to play using the PS Remote app or Share play.

Honest question because I was under the impression they had a decent enough streaming platform.

Kojima isn't talking about streaming a normal game; he's talking about a game that leverages cloud computing that runs in the cloud.

Not that Sony couldn't do that, but it's what MS / Google have been talking about for far longer... and are just more experienced with the concepts. It's basically what Crackdown 3 attempted to do, but all running in the cloud.

It's also specifically why they just hired Kim Swift to lead that type of project.

Can you point me to where you addressed why no indie dev as unnoteworthy as Hasan/BlueBox has even gotten a PS Blog post in the past? Can you point me to where you refuted Geoff's claims that it's odd that someone like Hasan/BlueBox games was getting this level of exposure by Sony? Can you quote which parts of my posts are me putting words in your mouth?

Eh? As the guy on era said he knows more established indie devs that couldn't get PS Blogs despite wanting them. If the PS Blog is totally utterly and no big deal and as you're making out and even individuals with the lack of qualification as BlueBox can get them then why couldn't more established indie devs get them?

The same Sony that is utilizing MS streaming hardware to better their own service? And it's obvious that Sony hasn't been putting in the efforts for a game that fully utilizes cloud services like a flight sim would. But if you genuinely think they are more power to you.

This whole thread is about using receipts from barely existent connections, so let's move goal post even more. A 6 year conspiracy is more realistic than Kojima making a cloud game he spoke about making, was rumored to be making, and is still rumored to be making with the leaders of cloud gaming.

I love conspiracy theorist.

Small devs have gotten blog posts; multiple blog posts even... as small as Hasan appears to be? Yes.. as shitty of a background? No.. but again, who on the PS Blog team is researching backgrounds? He submitted a blog post with a kinda cool looking teaser, promissing PS5 exclusivity, support for all it's features, etc.

Here's one:

That guy has put out his 3 Steam games on PS4/5 last year and got a blog post for every one. Where is the evidence that other devs are even trying to submit blog posts?

Again, as bad as Hasan's track record? No.. but Hasan's trailer actually looked better than this game, and it was presented as a teaser.

You think Sony isn't more likely to post something claiming to be a PS5 Exclusive talking about DualSense / 3D audio support at this point?

It's not that strange.. Sony isn't doing crowd sourced e-detective work on their indie devs.. they do in fact post some pretty mediocre indie games/devs to their blog.. the end.

Hang on… the only company further ahead on cloud computing is Amazon.

Amazon delivers goods in boxes.
The Prime logo is blue.
One of Amazon’s largest warehouses is in the Netherlands.
Amazon’s space program is called Blue Origin.
Theres a Silent Hill game called Origins.

Just to be clear, I'm not saying I'm convinced Kojima is hired by MS..

But it's not such a long shot considering the fact Kojima is interested in some sort of "cloud native" game; he almost certainly at least TALKED to Stadia about it, but clearly they aren't doing projects like that.. and the most likely suitor after that is Microsoft.. because they are focused on both streaming, and "cloud computing backed" games.

And MS did in fact just hire someone, and say they are leading the initiative for "cloud native" games.. indicating MS does plan to make games exclusive to xCloud (which fucking sucks IMO), that leverage their Azure backend.

Ok I checked this myself.

This is what shows up here:

If you download the image from imgur.com, that Geoff linked to on Restera.

So it's the metadata that shows up, for a file that we know is modified by imgur.com, because they modify exif/other metadata (this isn't EXIF data.)

I'd still like to know who was sent Geoff's file directly, and where you have evidence of that?

And for the record, this does make me a little suspicious of Geoff. But I'm working on testing some things with imgur.com.
where is this imgur link that he gave?

At least we're using first hand accounts and teases by the people involved. You're just parroting internet douche rumor mongers like jeff grub and that ilk. Ffs, assuming the thing that moves Kojima is a big dollar sign just shows how out of your depth you are.
Kojima != Tod Howard my dude 😂
There was definitely no lack of studios and even major publishers willing to get him in after the split with Konami. What did he do?

My argument is that a one man dev studio who has made mediocre games getting multiple blog posts suggests that the bar isn't that high for the Sony blog.

Games none of us have heard of, get "placement" by Sony... from devs, none of us have heard of.

Not at all. Like any good conspiracy #TeamReals beliefs only grow stronger with more proof against them.

It goes from "Hasan reveal yourself" to him revealing himself and saying the game is not silent hill to "He's just an actor, even more proof for us"...and thats basically the path for every "teamreal" conspiracy after diving deeper gives explanations, but to keep a conspiracy going you have to then say the explanation is just a front.

I see it differently, #TeamFake is grasping on the "PSBlog" thing like it was a lifeline.
The fact that this eclipsed this E3 (even though it was lackluster) is stealing the "thunder" of some, hence the new cloud narrative.

If this is the best example of a small independent game getting coverage on the blog just notice how it's infinitely more "legit" than whatever this Hasan dude ever made. There is a game there you can click buy and play around with since 2017 (just checked it on steam now)

Btw having 86 Steam reviews is really not that bad for an unknown 2D top down quirky game i never heard about. Even the trailer video seems quite competent.

Btw their discription:

Dead Drop Studios LLC is a small one-person indie development team located in the USA. Our primary focus is creating new survival horror experiences to help revitalize the genre. We design our games to be cross-platform so they may launch on PC and consoles.

Lol literally a 1 man band and they produced something infinitely more tangible than Hasan the man of the hour who even gets to reveal a never before seen PS5 trailer app this week.

We're jerking each other off at this point honestly, we agree on the fundamentals here, there is no such a thing as this Hasan and bluebox studios actually being legit.

I don't understand people like you that respond like this.

>Can you respond to this point
>"Nah I've already responded to it already"
>Where? I want to read it so I can see if it actually addresses my point or if maybe I have response to it myself
>cba to look I've got 1million posts so too much hassle

What's the massive inconvenience if you just responded to the point as it was initially made? Instead you claim you've already responded to it before and then when pressed to quote that response so that the discussion can continue in a constructive manner you instead reply with "cba". So bizarre.

Small devs have gotten blog posts; multiple blog posts even
No one has EVER denied that. The point was to cite an example of an indie dev as small AND unknown/failed.

... as small as Hasan appears to be? Yes..

as shitty of a background? No..
So that's the answer. No. It's never ever happened before. You could have easily conceded this 3 posts ago and we'd have all been fine.

but again, who on the PS Blog team is researching backgrounds? He submitted a blog post with a kinda cool looking teaser, promissing PS5 exclusivity, support for all it's features, etc.

Seems like a pretty stringent vetting process.

Here's one:

That guy has put out his 3 Steam games on PS4/5 last year and got a blog post for every one.

It's not even remotely on the same scale. 1st PS Blog post was in August. If you do a Google search of this developer/his studio/his games for hits BEFORE that 1st blog post you'll find numerous articles/reviews/videos about the games BEFORE Sony decided to pick them up for blog posts. That's because the games were already released on Steam and Xbox and old school horror enthusiast were already aware of it.

BlueBox/Hasan has virtually NOTHING prior this. And what they do have are not extremely small releases that maybe only a few people have played, no, they are obscure and hard to find FAILD projects.

Where is the evidence that other devs are even trying to submit blog posts?
This is just wilful ignorance at this point. Are you honestly telling that indie devs don't care about getting things like PS Blog posts, that NO ONE HAS EVER tried to get one? Hasan happened to be the 1st person to ever ask and Sony said "yeah, all you had to do was ask". Come on.

Again, as bad as Hasan's track record? No
So why are you citing an example that you conceded isn't comparable to Hasan?

The answer is NO. No game/developer has ever gotten a PS Blog with a track record anywhere near as non-existent/bad as Hasan. That's all you needed to say. What the big deal about that?

but Hasan's trailer actually looked better than this game, and it was presented as a teaser.
Nope the Dead Drop Studios is "BEST" as Sony stated in that article I posted above since it's an actually working build of a game. And not only that it was previously released and sold on other platforms. Anyone can mock up a trailer. Their are literally COUNTLESS fake trailers on youtube for cooling looking games. Can they all get PS Blog posts as well?

You think Sony isn't more likely to post something claiming to be a PS5 Exclusive talking about DualSense / 3D audio support at this point?
Literally ANYONE can make claims like that. If simply making those claims are all it takes to get a PS Blog then why haven't a rush of indie devs also done the same?

That guy never qualified if anyone he knows actually attempted to submit a blog post. He's also some nobody himself lol

"Not having a blog post" isn't the same thing as being denied by some vetting process nobody has mentioned.
Eh? What are you talking about? How do you thinking getting blog post works? You'd literally have to contact Sony 1st and pitch/explain studio/game to them. Then they decided if it's a yes or a no. What the era guy said is that devs he knows have been turned down.

Ok so the era guy is "nobody". Fair enough. No problems with that what so ever, but what about Geoff. He said VERBATIM that he "can't figure out" how Hasan was getting this "pretty good placement" by Sony. So you shot down the era guy because he was a "nobody" and I guess Geoff is what? Also ignorant and you know better than him???

100% this

I just don't get the desperation and holding out hope some people have that MS somehow actually ties in Kojima. They sell about zero consoles in the Japan / Asia region and clearly the people on that fanbase that like Japanese / Kojima games already own PS hardware. Just buy the other console dudes, use all that money you save on gamepass to buy some games you actually enjoy :messenger_tears_of_joy:

Why would Sony only put blog posts up for games that are actually buyable? As a dev, Hasan had a different game purchasable on Steam.

Sony post blogs from absolute no-name devs.. that's the truth.

You don't actually know that for a fact or how long that "game" was up for.
If it's really all a ruse, he could have published nothing and use 5/6 sock accounts to get "sales". Let's not pretend it's even close to the same thing when you and I both know he's got no actual games developed.

I can publish an rpgmaker project right now and put it for sale on steam for a few hours :messenger_tears_of_joy:

All you need to prove is CreateQ Interactive being fake and everything comes crashing down. Without CreateQ it means all of Blue Box’s history and even Hasan himself aren’t real.

Came across that image again I was telling you about where Hasan = CreateQ.

If CreateQ interactive is fake then so would be Hasan.

Note: That is the same account that’s tied to the creation of Blue Box’s three games: Rewind, The Whisperer and The Haunting, therefore proving those all to be fake too.
