Isn't every month shortages for both the Series X and PS5?But overall the PS5 sold more despite the XSX winning a couple of months due to shortages.
Isn't every month shortages for both the Series X and PS5?
Same can be said in reverse.... No?And why did you think the XSX won those months? Probably because stock for that month was extremely low for the PS5.

I know the Series S got readily available during April in the UK and is readily available the whole time since May across all major retail channels. But Amazon still does not sell the Series S without a bundle. It's important for people like me, who prefer Amazon and only want a console without extras. That was my point. It's been available at several points since its release. The fact it's a third-party makes no difference as Amazon regularly make use of its partners. My guess is that the Series X is definitely the more popular of the two over here, but combined they're being outsold around 2:1 by PS5 disc and digital.
It's nowhere near enough to make up the gap in populations though. And as I say most Japanese are buying the Switch which is nowhere near as supply constrained as the PS5 and Series X are here.
Xbox gamers don't buy xboxes because they have gamepass on PC. Easy
Oh, and also UK is irrelevant tiny market, you know
First off where are you from? Secondly I live in the UK and I can tell you the Series X is very hard to buy over here, Series S is more widely available. The Xbox Series S/X isn't sold out in Europe. You can enter in any store in Spain/Portugal and buy it easily.
The PS5 is sold out everywhere.
If the UK (the only county in Europe where Xbox used to have a significant % of the market) is like that, in the rest of Europe is much worse for Microsoft consoles.
So just pure conjecture used as excuse why they aren't selling as well as PS5? Chips are held by Microsoft to put in the cloud servers? The answer to all those questions is going to be more than 10 and less than 25 million.
Who are you asking these stupid questions?Well that was Xbox second biggest market outside USA, after 10 years of heavy marketing for English speaking countries I guess the message has failed.
Also since MS is very fast to spin PR news as long they are positive, have they confirmed/bragged the series S are selling more than Xbox one?
Didn’t Phill said they weren’t competing with Sony and Nintendo! Then why are some fans so defensive? Isn’t streaming the future? Why care?
How long can someone keep defending and adapting their narrative/opinion because of the choices of a company? That’s blind loyalty. The Apple kinda way… it’s creepy.
I’m joking I don’t want any Xbox fan to have meltdowns over what I wrote.
nobody really expected otherwise.
Xbox Series S is now a real threat to PS5
Opinion: The runt of the litter is about to grow upwww.techradar.com
thats going to be one, interesting discussion
Pretty sure that Sony is kinda updating PSNow blade servers too,MS kinda updated the cloud blade servers with the harware for the console, so thats why they in bigger supply shor than PS.
I don't know how many times I need to say this but I'm Dutch.
Who are you asking these stupid questions?
For stupid fanboys and people who bother reading and replyingWho are you asking these stupid questions?
Pretty sure that Sony is kinda updating PSNow blade servers too,
or you think they're gonna stick with ps3 and ps4 games forever?
Are you sure about that?Take it easy, you're not being paid by them.
3 consoles. As expected. Market leader remains market leader, shocked pikachu face.
Aren’t both consoles still selling every unit they produce?
Comfortably the market leader.Same can be said in reverse.... No?

No what, no the Xbox isn’t selling every unit they make? So you can just walk down to any shop at any time on any day and pick up a series X or PS5 off the shelf?3 consoles.
No.

The answer is always the same right now, one sold more because it shipped more.
Just take a trip down memory lane and read the thread,Ok, nobody with any knowledge of the market expected otherwise.
Did anyone really expect series s to be a threat to ps5? that's like expecting to hurt someone by throwing bread crumbs at them.
When you can't compete in the sales battle, you gotta make your metrics so you can win.
Gotta love those phil spencer used car salesmen metrics.X-Button pressed 1.000.000.000.000 times ?
Well all your assumptions are wrong.Lord knows what the WW split is if PS5 is hammering Xbox Series X/S consoles in their strongest major market outside of US.
The hardware installbase gap between Xbox and PS5 looks like it'll be much bigger than last gen in the UK, even though we were being told last gen was a disaster for Xbox and MS have done everything right this gen.
No it wasn't and no it isn't.Well all your assumptions are wrong.
The gap last gen at this time in the generation was bigger. The gap now is closer.

I mean it's not surprising, PS5 is still feeding off PS4 momentum, that's all. It's really the only reason why PS5 is leading, mostly. I know not many will take this post serious, considering half of you only have love for "good guy" Sony.
You can blame Series consoles bombing on supply issues or giving everyone no reason to buy one because of the PC and XB1 cross release policy, but the fact remains it is losing huge marketshare to its rivals.
That's an assumption.Certainly worldwide then, the PS5 has outsold the Series X consoles combined around 2:1 or worse. There is no reality where PS4 outsold XB1 2:1 after 8 months on market, in fact they were very close after 6 months, PS4 at 7m XB1 at 5m:
Sony PlayStation 4 has had an impressive first six months, here is why
It has been six months since the Sony PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One hit the market. Sony has sold more than 7 million units while the Microsoft's flagship gaming console has sold over 5 million devices. The numbers show the PS4 has had an impressive run so far.www.google.com

Didn't MS recently upgrade all their data centres for the Xloud to XSX hardware , maybe that has had a negative effect on the XSX availabilityI don't know how, but Sony is producing far more consoles than Microsoft. Where I live I haven't seen a single Series X listed for sale since it was launched. It's nothing but thousands of Series S consoles that no one really wants. I can easily buy a Playstation 5 (which I did) at any time from at least one of the five major online stores. Even Sony's website has both versions available 90% of the time.

Nothing's going to change until Xbox sorts out its software output.
The plain truth is that in terms of first party and exclusive releases I simply cannot remember a year when they had an edge over their competition. Its pretty crazy to me how Xbox fans have given Phil such a free pass over this. The last couple of years have been simply atrocious, but noone wants to take the boots to it like they should presumably because they don't want to give rival fanboys a reason to gloat.
Trouble is, what everyone sees is Sony churning out high-rated exclusive after exclusive, and Xbox offering the latest iteration of increasingly stale and uninteresting franchises a couple of times a year at best.
That's an assumption.
For the markets we have data, the gap is smaller
JP, ES, UK
And for the US, the Ps4 Xbox One gap was ~650k at the end of June 2014.
Depending on June 2021 sales, that gap could drop to below 500k this time as Microsoft shipped more units in June than Sony and was more competitive in April and May.
So why would be WW different?
It would be no different if xbox were in first place. People like to brag about the success of their consoles. Why do people fap over sonys sales numbers so much. There's a thread at least once a week about playstation sales numbers.
