they are the more "popular" site for sure. there's like ~5500 people on Ree right now compared to ~1700 on here. they rank higher too on Alexa but if that graph keeps going down they are fucked.

as for total members apparently they have ~55,000 and we have ~150,000.

Thanks. Obviously total members don't count for neither site (I think it includes banned and inactive users), but it's obvious that RE is still the most popular.

Honestly, I have the feeling Era has been losing members for a while because of the extremely politicized mod team and the MOBA acquisition could actually be good for them if they can get rid of the nut jobs.
Unfortunately, I have the feeling most companies want to stay away from NeoGaf because after the mass migration it was labeled an alt-right site (and honestly, for a while it felt a bit like it) and we know how woke tech/gaming is.

GAF feels like the better place that is really welcoming to everyone, as long as you accept dealing with people who disagree with you in an adult way instead of yelling "you're literally killing me"

For those of you talking about adblockers etc, may I recommend grabbing a cheap Raspberry Pi 1 / 2 / Zero and installing pihole on it? It's wiped out almost all of the adverts for me at router level. Take an hour out of your day and set it up.

I can never understand Era's obsession with race. I get it, it's important to give minorities a platform and a voice but this is a video about fucking Smash Bros. Do they also understand what the word minority means?

He featured another YouTuber in a video of his that was deemed problematic, so he by extension is now toxic and problematic. Im quite familiar with it and have pretty strong feelings about it having looked at the allegations objectively. Just going to leave it at that. It’s got to be exhausting for them to keep up with whos problematic or not.
