fuck all that noise and play P2 now.I've got to give Psychonauts 2 a go. Everyone says it's great and I do like platformers. So much to play with GP, it's just hard to fit everything in.

Surely the industry of videogames (especially the most famous outlets) yes it behaves in a partisan manner, always and only safeguarding its own interests. And on this I could think like you, but then, I look at small indie productions like Hades from Supergiant games ... which despite not being initially pushed by any famous outlet .. managed with word of mouth thanks to the quality of the game to force the outlets to talked about it. so I guess it's a bit of both sides' fault
Name me a better co op game in the last 5 years that’s better then it takes two. I’m serious. I’ve been craving a similar experience since I’ve beat it with my son months ago.The latter two would be considered sweet XBLA games, but not enough to crack a legit top ten for the year.

I don't have anyone to play it with. Maybe I'll enlist one of my kids and see what the hype is about.Name me a better co op game in the last 5 years that’s better then it takes two. I’m serious. I’ve been craving a similar experience since I’ve beat it with my son months ago.
Disagree easily. Bored us quicklyUnravel 2
Ya it’s a great game. Well polished with cool mechanics that never get overused. Funny little mini games and cool little set piece momentsI don't have anyone to play it with. Maybe I'll enlist one of my kids and see what the hype is about.
Shame. My son and I loved the game and also It Takes TwoDisagree easily. Bored us quickly
Maybe if they stopped using the same trash settings, with annoying characters, boring tropes and tedious gameplay, people would have loved them.Japanese games are losing appeal to the general public because western press keeps pushing western games and generally ignoring what isn't western.
10) Psychonauts 2
9) Inscryption
8) It Takes Two
7) Forza Horizon 5
6) Life is Strange: True Colors
5) Metroid Dread
4) Returnal
3) Resident Evil Village
2) Deathloop
1) Halo Infinite
Very much like the first game. It’s almost like a Tim Schafer curse, his games are beloved by a few and overlooked by the many. Can't be mad at that list.
Psychonauts 2 is criminally underrated
Maybe if they stopped using the same trash settings, with annoying characters, boring tropes and tedious gameplay, people would have loved them.
No offense to Japanese games, but they need to get in touch with modern games.
This is more or less how I feel. I was born in the early 80s so the overwhelming bulk of games that I played were Japanese games like Mario and Sonic, etc. PSX comes around and Japanese devs began to make more mature titles like Metal Gear Solid and Resident Evil, which was a great segue into games like Morrowind and Halo and Half-Life, etc. Western games are far more appealing to me, by far.Maybe if they stopped using the same trash settings, with annoying characters, boring tropes and tedious gameplay, people would have loved them.

So they need to be more like military shooters!?but they need to get in touch with modern games.
Is it a horror / scary game? It was pretty high on the Steam best sellers when it first came out and is still in the top 10. No thanks I'm sure to the overwhelming positive reviews.Minus Life is Strange, this is probably my list in a different order.
Inscryption is hot. People should play Inscryption. It's just such a hard sell because the less you know the better.
No, but tell us how you REALLY feelDL and Infinite at the top. Looks like a list of who paid the most, in order.
So they need to be more like military shooters!?

I never heard of Inscryption until now. Is it actually a card game or something else?
K you make a listReturnal shouldn’t be on there, nor Deathloop or Halo Infinite. What a shite list.
You convinced me to give it another shot. Only played very little of the beginning of I think part 2. Is part 2 the better one?Shame. My son and I loved the game and also It Takes Two
Sorry you feel that way? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯#NotMyList
Sorry, Game Informer.K you make a list
Part 2 leaned in more heavily and refined the co-op aspect plus it was positively gorgeous. You convinced me to give it another shot. Only played very little of the beginning of I think part 2. Is part 2 the better one?
Starting it right now.Part 2 leaned in more heavily and refined the co-op aspect plus it was positively gorgeous.
Let me know what you think if you end up liking it enough to beat it. I thought the game was a blast.Starting it right now.
Modern games, as in evolving your gameplay, and how your characters interact.Or maybe you need to get in touch with the fact that not all games are for you and not being for you doesn't mean they're not "modern.?"
There's nothing in the extremely varied settings, characters, tropes, and gameplay that one can find in Japanese games that can objectively be defined not "modern."
So they need to be more like military shooters!?
Oh it very much does. 343i blew away my very low expectations with Infinite. I was legitimately expecting another trash-tier halo-in-name-only just like with 5 but what we actually got was the best halo game we’ve seen since Bungie at their peak.Returnal shouldn’t be on there, nor Deathloop or Halo Infinite. What a shite list.
I am personally glad that neither bf2044 or vanguard are on this list. Both are easily some of the worst of their respective franchises.
Please dont say those words. I refuse to acknowledge that fucking genre.
Modern games, as in evolving your gameplay, and how your characters interact.
Western games have advanced their gameplays, and reached human interaction level. While the Japanese games, got stuck in wishful interaction, which is full of cringey moments.
While some games have very good gameplay, it's the interaction and the dialoge which kills the enjoyment of the game.
I mean you really aren't rebutting what he is saying though. You just boil down his words to a simplistic form and blow him off. Not everyone has to like the same things you like, but if you are going to engage someone in a discussion at least do so in good faith. You have made a list of catchwords and vague concepts with no meaning at all.

Ratchet is nothing new and as a fan you should want them to do more than just add portals. The graphics were incredible but the gameplay lacked any kind of depth and the environments were often tiny.good list i think although the lack of ratchet is disappointing , never even heard of inscryption
There is no catchwords, if you dont understand it.You have made a list of catchwords and vague concepts with no meaning at all.
