Helped a friend from the UK to get one today from argos like that. It took him over an hour to the point I thought he would never get one.
Kept watching pop-ups saying the last one sold was a few seconds ago and everything.
After the website broke a couple times he managed to buy it through their mobile app. Delivery date for may 25th. It's insane how we're still doing this after a year and half.
It's also insane how Sony might be delivering an even bigger amount of consoles to the UK than even the last few weeks. Also, the digital version lasted quite a while as well.
People in the UK are lucky lately.

Haha, I didn't realize they had done one from the start. This one probably cost extra with the camera and the two controllers, I was thinking more of when they started including a game at the standard price.

The first game sold almost 3 million copies in the first 3 days and the game launched several days later in other countries.
It takes months for a lot of triple-A games to sell-through that many copies within the first 6 months on multiple platforms. The game makes money without being bundled.

It's not freely included. You get like, idk, 10$ - 20$ discount if you buy it as a bundle. This makes it more appealing for people looking to buy a game with their console.

Not sure about US but in the UK the bundle is priced accordingly (£50 extra).
They will most likely just give you a discount. I guess 539 or something like that. But that's still weird, because since months you can only get PS5s bundled with 1-3 (GT, HFB, Uncharted) games for the full price of the game and they still sell. Yesterday we had some huuuuuge drops in germany in some stores. Lasted several hours, but only bundled with HFW + GT and some stores even added PS+. Bundles started at 645 Euro and they still sold all of them.

How do you know that "most people" would buy this game ? Its not possible to know something like that. This is how sony gets those sale numbers when they announce 10 million after half a decade. By forcing these games on people when they just want a console. In my country i could only buy a ps5 alone for about two months after its release in 2020. Then until the present day, its only bundles and a 40% markup on its price. So every single person in the country that wants a ps5 will be forced a spiderman game and a couple others. Then sony will announce how many millions of copies Spiderman "sold"

Couple of my friends had no issues getting one and it was available all day for collection immediately around my area. Think they only sold out at around midnight last night from 8 am so stock is definitely becoming more available, or jfa no where near as crazy as it had been.
All horizon bundles too so I imagine it should be top 3 again in this weeks charts.
It was later on in the day that they purchased so I imagine it may have slowed down on the demand on the website? If your friend tried in the morning? Maybe they sorted the website traffic.
Game also have bundles, or had but they had an extra controller and was like 560.
Just checked and I can still order from my local argos. They must have got a crazy amount of stock.
Don't think I've ever seen 24 hours of ps5 stock.

The game is not free. You have to pay for it. Horizon is still Top 10 by itself 3 months after release and it's the fourth best-selling game of the year.

Also, Halo Infinite had a bundle Day 1 and there was no concern about that? How strange. It was #2 with a bundle then it dropped to #18 and then out of the top 20.

I literally told you its impossible to buy a ps5 in an entire country basically since launch, without a spiderman bundle. Woah, I've never seen these before. It's like every major first party ip release and their biggest sellers. Uncharted 4, God of war, horizon, Spiderman, ghost of tsushima, last of us. Genius move. I'd grab one of those if they were priced right. Will also increase sales and revenue for the studios too.
Not sure about Horizon 1, but HFW physical sales are easly 50% from bundles in many countries.

i think we should wait for the sales statistic (if any) since PS5 is still under shortsupply, and how do you know its 50% from bundles in many countries?
That's my guess since i'm trying since many months to get my hands on a naked PS5 for my nephew. I'm watching bargain forums, twitter bots, discord bots, telegramm bots etc. and every alert i get it's bundled with mostly GT7 + HFW. I don't know how many countries are like this, but at least Germany, UK, Poland, Switzerland and Austria. Also you can see that there is a huge discrepancy in physical and digital charts for those games although it should be around 50/50 or even slightly more for digital.

Tbf, it was reported that Sony basically said to retailers. If you do not buy a copy of GT7 and Horizon then sell those games with the console as a bundle you won't get stock. This was purely to deter scalpers which I think is a completely fair move. Both games are decent and if I was picking up a ps5 I would deffo want GT7. yes, it could be a pain for someone with kids, but you could sell the games on and you are getting your ps5 from an official retailer and dodging scalpers.

It works. I impulse purchased my PS4 in March 2017 because it was a Horizon bundle with two controllers for €270. Very good deal so I just thought why not.
You are right. It definately makes it easier to get a PS5 from a retailer and it's very good for Sony and the retailers. On the other hand, if you don't need those games like my nephew, you have to resell them. And because of all those bundles there are thousands of sealed copies from private sellers on the market starting at 25 Euro. That means the naked PS5 is 600 Euro. Not much better than buying from a scalper except you get an invoice with your name on it.

You're acting as if the majority of the sales are due to bundles. Yes, every publisher counts copies sold with bundles as "sold." This is very standard within the industry. Spider-Man PS4 launched with a lot of bundles and it was always on the sales charts. They told games such as Assasins Creed, Call of Duty, Fallout, etc with bundles. Seems like people are having a major problem with it when it's only Sony games.

Probably because people are not freely picking it up, the only time it seems to get sales boost in the UK, is when there is ps5 stock, because it is impossible to buy a ps5 without the game.
It also means they bump the price from £449 to £499 as your forced to get a game you may not want.
It's like at launch, you couldn't buy the console without Myles Morales pretty much.
I'm more surprised they didn't try this tactic with games like Returnal, it would've propelled that games sales.

That's good news. Seems like this bundle will be the go-to PS5 unit right now. PlayStation Direct in the States will also have it now.
About Game having bundles...i went to their website and when i click on the PS5 it says "Hello, this site is currently not available. Please try again later.".
I can click on every other product in there...weird. Maybe it sold out?
Hopefully the rest of Europe starts getting them as well. Spain had a crazy amount 2 or 3 weeks ago when it sold 10k units followed by 2.5k. In February it was selling less than 100 sometimes, lmao. Glad this is getting sorted out.
