I didn't even list sequels. No I don't remember that because some of that is clearly incorrect. They made 3 Uncharteds in 4 yrs. The years after that they made more Uncharteds and added TLOU into the mix too. Output did not drop like it has so severely for Rare.That's not the only reason. Development times generally increased by a lot. Remember when Naughty Dog made three Uncharted games within 4 years? Or when Sucker Punch made three Infamous games within 5 years? Or when Guerilla made three Killzone games within 4 years? Or when Polyphony made four Gran Turismo games within 6 years? Those times are long gone and are never coming back.
Those years are not coming back mostly because we are slowly going to the GaaS model, even Naughty Dog, and Polyphony Digital have already. ND are probably working on Factions now which I'm sure will be their bread and butter and GT is pretty much live service already. The business model is shaping the industry and its game releases.
