The biggest shenanigans in this CMC is the scheduling around school pickup time in the UK. I wonder if that's what the break was for? Grandkids pickup for him.

Either way, from what I'm reading here, it sounds like the CMA are breaking the law

Well the CMA (and now MS) are saying the new offer from MS will create a new relevant merger and that the CMA will short circuit a decision on that.

But as the chair pointed out, for that to be possible they’re aaying this merger has come to an end and a new merger is commencing.

And now both the CMA and MS are trying to back pedal on that.

TLDR this won’t be decided today or tomorrow in the UK. If MS won’t close without a deal of some sort in the UK, then they won’t be closing until after the 18th July given the timescales being discussed.

I don't have the link.

Whats going on is that it's not looking good for Microsoft at the moment, because they've come to the hearing with zero evidence to show what has changed for them to accept the deal

They've turned up and said they've made a deal with Sony, which isn't enough for anybodys mind to be changed

I was expecting identification of a statement from Microsoft explaining what’s going, this is what’s changed, this is the new landscape, this goes to the CMA, the CMA ask is has the landscape so changed that looking back at the decision made quite properly some months ago, is it now wrong?

CMA was never really challenged with previous appeals, this time they were, and they wanted to walk away at the back door and now they are fried even with MS attempt to forgive it.

To me it looks like both MS and CMA are in agreement (the divestment of cloud in UK probably) and they need this judge to play ball. Both parties dancing around it for legality sake :)

It seems like if the CMA stood by their original decision the Judge would have accepted it but now they're bending over for MS and navigating a new RMS but it doesn't currently exist

So the CMA is saying MS has a good chance to address their concerns, yet they haven't looked at their final remedy offer?
Sounds like they've had a lot of discussion and some proposals on the table to resolve - but nothing is formally written or finalized (yet)...
