I’m glad to be mistaken. It’s great there are PC gamers that have given in to the indoctrination of game pass.

Where is it going for 100 Euros?

P.S
I forgot how much I hated gaming in Australia.....what the fuck is that price 120 A$
I became more of console gamer only because of Australia's heavy customer protection laws so I returned games like I was renting them.

Microsoft exclusive period.
The Microsoft Store, XboxApp, GamepassPC versions all start the preload at the same time.
Steam for some reason is later likely cuz its actually a different build.

Curious to see the differences if any between the two builds.....but im getting Steam either way cuz imma need that mod support day 0.
Damn, Mexico getting done dirty.

Considering BGS previous gone gold announcements (two weeks before launch), its likely that copies already were produced and are en route to store, expect leaks in the next days.

That first feeling when you lift off and go into space, only to crash-land on some remote, hostile planet and getting eaten alive by vicious alien lifeforms, is gonna be glorious. I'm ready for take off.
I desperately hope there is a type of big alien monster on the planet you beat your first big story 'boss' that one-shots you at low levels, and rockets your corpse into the stratosphere for absolutely no reason.

You're feeling like a big man since you whooped that dragon's giant thing's ass, and feel like showing that spider monster just how much of a big man you are. Then BAM, Skyrim reference. Only do it once per playthrough for the gag.

I think you will find it even more funny that the $300 US version of the game sold out within minutes of going live almost two months ago. ;)

If I had the kind of disposable income these people had, im sure I would pounce on most collectors editions.
But 300 bucks.....mayne thats a new processor or a whole GPU class upgrade for my PC.

I can't speak for others of course but I have had very little issues with all their games since Oblivion. Yes I saw the videos of game breaking bugs and such and I guess I must have been one of the lucky ones.

New Vegas however, I lost about 20+ hours of progress due to many save files corrupted. Plus many, many freezes.
I can attest to this, the absolute worst bug I ever experienced in a vanilla BGS game was the Gauldur Amulet not spawning at the end of the quest in a single Skyrim playthrough. Sure I've destroyed the games with mods that don't work together, but I've never seen any of this stuff. As far as NV goes I never played it until all the patches and DLC was out, so I believe people when they say it was garbage.

I'll probably not pre-load, I heard the decryption process takes ages?

My gigabit fiber can DL 100GB or so in 30 minutes.

SO EXCITED

Haters gon' hate.. playa's gon' play.
Yes, either Steam or the MS Store will have to decrypt preloaded files.
Even on a fast NVMe SSD the CPU can be the bottleneck.
But MS Store files are decrypted faster from my experience.

I'll preload it on the MS Store to explore the files (not readable but filetree and names are the real ones).
And on release if the decrypting thing takes too long, I'll delete it and download again.

I have 2 Gb fiber, when I preloaded Hogwarts on Steam (86 GB I think), it took less than 8 minutes.
When decrypting from the NVMe, Steam said it would took like 30+ minutes (I have a 13700K).
So I deleted it and downloaded the game again in less than 8 minutes again....
File encryption sucks, it only makes preloads useless when you have fast internet.

Sorry, but I need more time to finish BG3.
Can you really "finish" BG3 though. This playthrough you might be a roguish half eleven bard with a Heart of Gold.

Next one you maybe an evil necromancer who is willing to sacrifice your companions for power.

NPC behavior, endings, even whole chunks of the game will go differently. This is the sort of a game you can play for years and years. I still will go through BG1/2 every couple years or so, lol.

Edit: Forgot to add that I am very much looking forward to Starfield and hope it will be amazing. Since it's Bethesda though, I feel might as well give them a few months to patch up and for mods to mature... 😅

Series X, Series S and PC are ready. Waiting to unbox that controller too.

You managed to snag that controller?
Jealous!

I had money saved to snag one more custom controller for the year. (yes I know I have a problem)
Rule of thumb dont get a girlfriend who casually games....well do that, but dont show her the Microsoft x OPI controller when you know she uses OPI products.
Cuz im now the proud owner of this "beauty":

I had to even import this piece of shit.........err i mean beaut.

But Fallout 4 was good? What did you dislike? I played that game to death, awesome experience. Sure it wasn't as strong as 3 but it was awesome nonetheless. And the expansions were very worth it.

The story, the absolutely neutered RPG systems, the building, the abysmal performance at launch, the voiced main character.

So basically everything other than shooting. But even the shooting felt awful at launch because of the unstable framerate.

Gamepass PC day 1! Unless its a buggy mess, because Bethesda…

Surprised MS did not create a special Series X like Halo. They really seem to be dropping the ball on the cool consoles compared to previous generations.
