I call BS. I am locked 60 fps in ultrawide 1440p with no issues with literally the same setup. 5950X, 3080 TI 32 GB RAM. 18 hours of play (more because I lost a few hours after I loaded a previous save to change some decisions)

I don't think the performance he is having equates to the game being "unplayable", but Kilau Kilau is also having the audio issues the review refers to so I don't think it is BS. Shitty sound issues would be a deal breaker for me as well.

If you are a PC gamer, you have to deal with MS windows shitty bugs.

More like so call gamers will never learn the lesson. Companies will continue to lie and overhype their games to sell them. They know they'll get free pass from dumb fanboys who idolized these "good guy" executives, and will believe and defend every single lie and BS they spit out

It's not BS, companies never lie or try to overhype their games, also I want to take a moment for my next game:

I am making the next most amazing game in the world, one which will place others to shame, to be honest, all other games are junk, hell even I believe will be the first real game ever:

While I’m not surprised by the gradually decreasing score, i wonder if the scores will jump back up as they playthrough more of the game.

I’m just not feeling it. 15 hours in and it’sa good maybe even mediocre game. It should have everything you need to be a great Bethesda game but some design choices hold it back.

I’m hoping it gets better because it really feels like they put a lot of effort into this game than say the yearly cod and ass creed games, not to mention the new Spider-Man which looks like an iterative sequel that is bound to get better reviews.

I doubt it but could be. The game looks about that as it is, a 7~.
Just browsing through them now. 78% on my Steam app at least and many negative due to performance in just a quick browse. Not saying there aren't negative reviews outside of performance, but I bet the review scores up Steam go up after performance is ironed out.

I'm guessing a lot of the negative scores are performance related?

That's what a lot of them are saying in the review comments, particularly those who play a short amount of time.

there are times when audio driver doesnt work properly, or have problems with pictures.
Usually these problems happen when ms updates windows.

But if it only happens in the game then that's typically a game issue, not a Windows issue.

Cyberpunk's AI was always fine imo. It was just the cops that had bad AI or were poorly designed.

I've seen a lot of comparisons between the two games, and it's kind of a weird dig at Starfield. but like Cyberpunk really was a good game. There's no shame in Starfield not being as good as it.

Performance is bad for how the game looks sometimes but I can lock 60 on high settings.

Lack of FSE
No HDR
Visual glitches, screen blanking
Audio distortion or completely randomly gone.
Crashes.

spot on. Its all to make you spend 60$-70$ on their games.

Cyberpunk 2077 ps4/xbox one is clear example that they dont give a crap about you.

There is no world where this game ends up close or lower than fallout 76. That just doesn't make sense.
I don't know, objectively it is indeed way better but most people judge a game based on the hype they have for said game before, Fallout 76 had no hype and was tottally expected to fail.On the other hand Starfield was hyped as the GOTG by a lot of people and as the renewal of Bethesda. So even if it is indeed objectively better it may not score better based on expectations. That's the problem of the objective vs subjective and to be fair it is almost impossible to be objective.

Yeah? This 'least buggy Bethesda game' happens to be least optimized. Especially for the level of tech that Creation Engine 2 is offering.

And Todd/Phil/Pete idiotic ramblings hardly helped either, one of the top reviews on Steam was something like "BETTER UPGRADE YOUR ****ING HEAD, TODD".

There are a lot of negative ratings from people who spent more than 80 hours in the game. Like this one:

ntSkhNw.jpg

Dude played for 91 hours and said the game felt small and was upset that it only brought new experiences for 91 hours. Like what did they do for 91 hours in a small game? Some games are kind of fickle.
That's not what he said at all. He makes no mention of when he stopped seeing new things, maybe it was after 20 hours.

I certainly wouldn't be questioning his credentials for raising his issue with starfield seeing as he clearly wanted to spend 1000+ hours in the game.

I have asked this about 20 times and no one has shared any real links. Maybe you can.

Can you share where this was hyped to be game of the generation by Microsoft or Bethesda?

He'll, I'd even like to see these comments from rhe craziest of xbox fanboys so I can laugh. Do you have links?

Just check all the threads that are here and there's been countless posts about empty promises itt.You can check a lot of quote from Phil or Todd, I have been following from afar and have mostly avoided to post about Starfield simply because I knew that no matter the outcome there would be warring everywhere. But you can't act like there wasn't some massive hype for Starfield the "starting gun" from MS studios. So the game was hyped to the moon but it has a rocky start and some things could've been better about the game so people are more disapointed than if they expected a dud and got a great game.

Oh so the hype was created by a few users that never actually played it before launch and two sentences on a forum?

it cant be just that surely? we took that as gospel and a reason to attack the game from people who hadn't played it?

Maybe a vast majority of those 200 think it is?

More to the point, some people have been behaving like they needed it to be GOTY. Hence the manufactured hype. Yourself included:

I'm getting hyped!

Not long now, holy poop!

People are definitely playing the game, might not be all reviewers but there is deffo a select few people playing through it.

Now you want to try and rewrite history? Sorry, but it's not going to fly.

But unlike you we are playing and enjoying the game. We're not the ones posting minute by minute screenshots of the Steamcharts user reviews almost obsessively, drooling at each percentage drop. And most people doing so aren't even in the OT or have bought or tried the game, because we know their stance.

You're upset that I was hyped for a game that is absolutely delivering for me?

If you want to traul through more of my posts you should see that I was saying I just want fallout In space. That's what I've got and more.

I'm 70 hours in and falling more in love with it with every hour that passes.

You do realise there's people that love this game right?

Genuinely enjoy the game. Not some strange claim of shilling that some people like to claim

The thing is that because most of the worlds I’ve been to so far have the same content to offer and everything is separated by a loading screen, it does feel a lot smaller. You can’t travel anywhere using just your ship, you literally have to fast travel. It makes the universe feel so small and anything happening in space feel like you’re trapped in a box. Oh and slightly off topic, but that digipick mini game can fuck off, it’s so bloody tedious and boring.

It’s not a bad game, it’s just not anything like I imagined it would be, it absolutely pales in comparison to their previous work.

I think the saying is ‘as vast as an ocean, but as deep as a puddle’ is how I feel in the first 10 hours.

We had plenty of fanboys, like adamsapple, running with a narrative that Larian moved BG3 release on PC forward and delayed it on Xbox to not compete with Starfield, which is monster that will destroy everything on its path. And here we are, "monster" struggling to hit 300k CCU for almost two weeks now, falling 160k short of the previous studio's game from 8 years ago.

If it were genuinely GOTY it would speak for itself, the steam reviews and universal user impressions would reflect that, but yet here you are defending it instead of playing it. Shame.

You claimed that people weren't generating hype for the game. You've since been shown that was not true (yourself included) and now you want to claim that I'm upset that you were hyped for the game because I've shown you that you were indeed hyped for it?

At least we've now got to a stage where you're admitting to the fact that you were hyping it up. Silver linings and all that.

I remember that lunacy. Funny looking back in today's lens.

Two words: Game Pass.

According to Phil, the game hit 1M concurrent players on its official day of release.

According to Phil GamePass increasing sales. So what's happened?
Also I'm sure that these guys were perfectly aware that the game will be available on GamePass, so it's just making their lunacy even worse.

Its on gamepass 😆 🤣

It had over a million concurrent in its first 24hrs

I am not into Bethesda games usually. I have not played Starfield. But, my son has, and I watched. This game will not win GOTY, probably BG3 or TOTK (though I don’t think it should win). Possibly an unannounced game yet to release.

That said, when we look back 10 years from now and see the patches, mods, and changes made to Starfield, I am already convinced it will be an all time game from Bethesda and easily their biggest and best game since Skyrim. Probably a Top 6 Bethesda game all time.

CP2077 had bad-average AI, SF literally has zero AI. You can walk straight up to enemies and sometimes they'll just stand there until you put a bullet in their head.

Civilians don't react to anything that you do, you can shoot off a mini gun in a building and it's as if you don't even exist cause nobody reacts. It's embarrassing for a game in 2023 from a highly prominent developer to be this bad when it comes to this.

All that is going right now is day1 chatter and usual reviews.
Cyberpunk had that moment. No mans sky had that moment. This game would have future bright as base game isnt shit and can be fixed.
More content will flesh the world and mods will add unique gameplays.

Well unlike you I'm more than capable of handling more than one task. I can play then stop, browse the web, go out etc...etc... wild concept I know.

Also here's a thought, opinions and taste differ, TLOU and TLOU2 are nowhere near close to GOTY for me because I hate scripted cinematic games, games like Starfield are infinitely more enjoyable, moddable and repayable hence as far as I'm concerned GOTY. So what others do or do not perceive as GOTY means little to me since we're talking about what I enjoy playing.

I guess i totally forgot about the civilian AI in cyberpunk. I was thinking about the AI of enemies, which i thought was decent. Civilian AI was pretty bad. If it really is worse in starfield years later then yeah that is an issue.
