Shit will get more real for me when I see this:

With a PlayStation symbol next to it.

I thought the same thing. It looks like there is too much smoke and something at Microsoft shifted.

I do think Game Pass can still work as long as they are not doing day one on PlayStation and Switch. Why would someone wait to play on those consoles if they can get it for "free" and earlier on a MS console? I don't think we know what is happening. It looks like one of two things. MS shifted their strategy very fast. Or, the internet went crazy for a weekend and not much will come from this other than a few titles being ported over to other consoles.

Most people will have no problem waiting a couple months even a year. Especially if they are certain it is coming.

Pretty crazy. I figured they would dip their toes in to get the temperature and then go full steam. However, with all the smoke it seems they are going full ahead with 3rd party.

Everyone remember the ABK merger docs where they said they would consider it on a game by game basis and everyone said it was lies? Turns out that's exactly what they are doing.

Lol. I bet Phil is gone this year and ms just go full third party
God knows what they will do with hardware or gamepass.

Downgraded? Did I miss something?

Game has remained bonkers looking throughout! The original trailer was the target, while all gameplay footage has remained consistent.
Do you really believe the PC version will not have a single upgrade???

I see. So you're saying you don't want to wait for another "lesser" version to be finished. Unless they plan to release the PS5 version day-and-date with the other versions, I don't see why this is a concern.

I think we still get a console next gen. But it won’t be high end like the PS5 and X were, it’ll be another Series S style console.

Retain the majority of the 35m Game Pass subscribers, 30% share of all sales on the platform, avoids the bad publicity of closing a platform and locking people’s digital purchases away forever.

GOOD! This will mean the game will be given a fair chance and not be subject to the negativity that exclusives tend to get for no reason.

Xbox is absolutely cooked. I look forward to seeing how Sony handles no competitor in their space. I guess MS probably accurately figures it’s gonna be more profitable to be a huge publisher rather than a platform holder perpetually in last place.

I feel bad for people who are heavily invested in their ecosystem. I guess you will still be able to play their stuff on current hardware but going forward who knows.

If MS take Switch 2 compatibility seriously then some of their offerings would be very complimentary for the system. Stuff like Grounded, SoT would be great but if they wanted to fill the void with any serious online games like MCC, CoD (already guarenteed), Gears 6 etc. even better.

I have to say I think a lot of their games will get swallowed on PS, but there’s a gap for them to fill on Nintendo IMO.

The PlayStation empire is absolutely dominanting

Sega - Defeated and forced to go 3rd party

Nintendo - Damaged and forced to become a hybrid handheld/console to stay alive

Xbox - Defeated and surrendering as we speak.

Next up is the PC market against Steam and Tencent and the Mobile markets.

Can PlayStation rule the world?

I would love if Sony made some big changes, they can start with removing the additional PS+ tiers.

I would also like to see all of PS+ go, along with paid online subs but that’s probably a bridge too far at this point.
