Yeah, that'd be unfortunate. Hope it's multi as it was hinted at some months ago.

It'll be a Dragon Quest VII remake that kills Vita. Not the Mario, Pokemon, Resident Evil, Kingdom Hearts, Monster Hunter, Inazuma Eleven, or even other Dragon Quest games. It's a remake of that specific one that seals the deal. Any reason why?

That is what I meant. This, in addition to the fact that the 3DS already has big hitters like the ones you listed (plus others like Mario Kart and Super Smash), will be what kills the Vita. Like, this will be the final nail in the coffin.

That's a great line-up. But I find it funny when people say stuff like "Best Lineup" when the inevitable delays and additions will occur over the year. But yea, next year for me is definitely amazing for some one interested in 3ds and vita.
I'm only really interested in Paper Mario and Kingdom Hearts for sure since I have confidence in IntSys and S-E Osaka's BbS team. Including SM3DL that'd make three games I'd buy for sure. I can see my-self buying a 3DS by the end of 2012, especially if a revision with a second stick is released. If there isn't one I think three games I have confidence will turn out really fun for me personally might be good enough to pick up a system.
That being said, while line-up looks decent some of those games could be awful and you can only hope that they turn out alright (Resident Evil, Bravely Default, Beyond the Labyrinth) and/or are even confirmed for localization and released in 2012 (Fire Emblem, LaytonVsWright). With all of that I think you'd still need some more surprises announced and released in a timely fashion too for the thread title to even possibly be true. The line-up won't hold a candle to the HD console line-ups with all the multi-platform games, and it won't even be able to capitalize on being able to get multi-platform games like Vita might.

If Vita somehow survives through that list I posted before, I don't think another Dragon Quest would be a huge blow given 3DS is already getting them. Now, if it loses a real MGS, Final Fantasy, and doesn't get any of those franchises on 3DS it'll be toast.

Mario Kart, Sonic, and probably Lautrec to round out the year. But what I see for next year is also amazing so I can see myself buying quite a few of those games.
Luigi's Mansion 2, Kid Icarus, Rhythm Thief, all those Level-5 games, Theatrhythm, Bravely Default, Beyond the Labyrinth, etc.

A couple of those looks good, like Luigi's Mansion, Kid Icarus (even though it looks like a bitch to control) and Paper Mario, but doesn't look like the best lineup of next year.
Apparently it's in this week's Famitsu. I dunno, though, such a huge leak definitely would have been more talked about, and...
Game's that will quite likely be good/great, unless something goes horribly wrong: Luigi's Mansion 2, Kid Icarus (maybe the on-foot sections won't be all that hot, but the Sin & Punishment like flight sections seem awesome), Resident Evil: Revelations, Paper Mario, Time Travelers, Professor Layton & The Mask of Miracle, Bravely Default, Fire Emblem, Theatrhythm, Kingdom Hearts 3D, Layton vs Phoenix Wright, Monster Hunter 3G, Animal Crossing.
+ games like Rhythm Thief, Beyond the Labyrinth, Mario Tennis, Tekken, Fantasy Life, Heroes of Ruin, Rune Factory 4 have the potential to be at least somewhat decent games.

Famitsu would never get a Dragon Quest game. If the rumor was it was in this week's Famitsu it's fake. Those games only get announcements in JUMP, which was released Monday, and it's a bit too early for info to be leaking from next week's issue.
The rumor never specified from where it should come from...so, if it's real, it's from Jump.
And however, we already had very early leaks. One of these is even featured in this thread: Theatrhythm Final Fantasy! XD
I just don't think it makes much sense to announce an avalanche of 3DS Dragon Quest games.
I'm sure the remake is coming eventually, but I don't think it'll be announced now.

Unless you count ShockingAlberto's rumor from September, which was relayed from a source he considers reliable but turned out to be wrong (at least about the timing of the announcement), no.
His rumor was Castlevania, Contra and Fire Emblem right?
I remember him saying "oh so that's what he meant that this was a departure from previous fire emblem", linking it to multiplayer.

The only thing I thought when looking at the OP was that western developers don't care about developing for the 3DS.
