The 3DS Lineup For 2012 is HUGE... Best Lineup for any system next year

Nobody cares.

Also, just for future reference Nintendoids, putting a ridiculous hyperbole in the topic title is not going to make people start taking the 3DS seriously.
It's not a hyberbole, it's an opinion. Speaking of which, nobody cares about yours either.

Well, Paper Mario looks cool... That's about it for me.

If anything is gonna sell me on the 3DS, it's the slow, growing urge of getting SM3DL and MK7.

Gotta prove them peeps that their interest in 3DS games is WRONG and that all the good shit next year is on PS360.
Umm... I posted that list and (1) the subject of this thread is that one platform supposedly has "the best" line-up for the upcoming year, so comparisons to the lists of upcoming games on other platforms is a valid point of discussion and (2) I have a 3DS and I am interested in a majority of the titles posted in the OP, so my post was not of the "3DS is da crap, yo" kind. I've also never shared any kind of doom & gloom attitude towards 3DS (I got the thing on launch day and have never regretted doing so) nor do I think that handheld gaming is inferior to home consoles in any way.

Still doesn't remove my point that from the currently know games of 2012, 3DS's lineup isn't the best, at least if we try to objectively list all potentially good games (no matter if they are Japanese or western, niche or mainstream). It's a strong one, but I'd still say PS360 has a bigger list of "games with potential", at least if you have as wide a taste in games as I do (as in, realistic sports games are the only genre I'm not interested in, otherwise pretty much everything goes). Of course as can be seen from this thread alone, there are plenty of people who think that the kind of Japanese centric line-up that 3DS seems to be offering in 2012 isn't particularly interesting one.

Still not getting the thing, I simply don't have enough time to play all the games I want on 360/Ps3/Wii (When I say Wii I mean Zelda...)...

Are you sure? I heard it added a slot to play Game Gear titles.

Well wait, don't leave me hangin' here...what do you mean when you say "360/Ps3" then?

Why would they add a slot to play actual Game Gear carts when they can just re-sell you the games on Virtual Console? Oh wait...

Positive all around impressions. Screen looks very good in 3D Mode. OoT just looks awesome. Software is good and 3D Videos is an amazing plus.

Ocarina looks pretty good, but really it's a tame 'remake' compared to StarFox 64 which is a pretty good showcase title for the system.

Check out eShop too; they have some 3D videos up for download (and stream) for upcoming games.

Best is always going to be subjective, though it's hard to deny the 3DS lineup is looking impressive for next year. For the sorts of games I'm personally interested in, it's ahead of everything else.

Looking into next year - I know I'm getting Tales of the Abyss, Paper Mario 3DS and Animal Crossing 3DS.

I'm still iffy about Kid Icarus: Uprising. The flying sections look fun, the ground sections look boring. I'm hoping it's worth it - but I still feel like it's a game better suited for the Wii, it seems like it'd be way more comfortable to play with a pointer than a stylus.

Mario Kart 7, Super Mario 3D Land, Luigis Mansion 2, Resident Evil: Revelations, Paper Mario, Mario Tennis and Kid Icarus represents a pretty solid 12 months of gaming, for me. Nothing to make me regret my purchase there even in the unlikely event that those are the only games I play and that absolutely nothing else gets announced/released in 2012.
