Football Thread 2011/12 |OT6| doicare about injuries?

For real. I forgive the bet.

My only problem with Evra is that his positioning is utterly and increasingly pants, but I recognise that he might be a bit objectionable to act as your public face.

Cheers. I'll forever feel dirty though :p

Was that the worst January transfer window of all time?

Cleverley was the oasis in the hazy distance. My spirit was never entirely broken.

Cleverley is a mirage. It looks like an oasis in your desperation and thirst for quality midfielders, when in reality it is but a dank little puddle. Sure, it kept you sated once or twice when the stakes were low, but I sure as hell wouldn't rely on it to see me through the upcoming months.

Poor metaphor over :p

I'm mostly relying on Tony V, Wazza, Welbz, Carrick, Chicha, and a Nani who has (I hope) remembered how to finish.

And Scholesy for a little bit of composure. Young - I dunno what, if anything, to expect.

My highest hope for our defence and keeper is that we moderately cope. We're just not going to be flash in that department.

Bookies making Chelsea favourites, Fady.

Any very disposable income you want to put up ?

Those bookies are trolls >:O! This may very likely be United's first stamford bridge win in ages. Poor finishing against weaker teams have given us draws, but what will it do against a constantly-attacking team like United? Plus the lack of Ramirez and Lampard means our control will be slower and more sloppy.

sticky'd ! fuck yeah

i'm still afraid about tonights game :/

How come bro :0? Weren't Hamburger beaten 5-1 at home against Dortmund recently?

That's twice I've read the name Welbz in the last 24 hours. Please tell me that's not actually his nickname...

Then again, we've got a Spearo, so I can hardly judge.

Any chance of Ravel 'thug4lyfe, AK47 in my gold-rimmed hummer, brap-brap, 'not guilty if you don't want sledgehammer to the knee,' ungrateful, ' not a bellend, just surrounded by bad influences' Morrison making an appearance in the Millwall game later on?

Have a little faith. We have Malouda and Bosingwa. :(

Sam talks like he'll take it slow

"One of the biggest things for Ravel would be for him to break into our first team. Then his whole life becomes closer to what he wants it to be.

"First things first, though. We have to find out about his talent, we have to settle him into his home environment, his lifestyle and build him a programme for the time spent away from the pitch. Ravel only turned 19 yesterday, so he will need guidance."

But I really wouldn't be surprised.

Inside City: Ep 21 - NFL Superbowl Showdown

Brilliant footage of training, especially the goalkeeprs. Stuart Taylor is like another goal-keeping coach really. He's a encouragement to Hart and Pantilimon. LOL at Joe Hart and his crazy head gear.

Aguero speaking more English! "See youuu later"

Chappy (The kit man) allocates David Pizarro his locker! His is next to none other than the AWOL Argentinian's.

Pizarro gets shown around Carrington and meets old friends and then trains, he has a interview and says that in Italy life is difficult if you're a footballer, he said if you are in a taxi you are followed and even getting your food shop in is tough. He said "Totti can't go out".

De Jong, Lescott and Richards goof around on a promotional American Football photoshoot!! Their banter and antics are funny. Lescotts wayward throw at the end sounds like it smashes a window! If you watch any of that video make sure it's this bit.

You can tell theres a good spirit in the team.

Chelsea fan??? Wooo! It's like I'm looking for survivors of the apocalypse :[!! I actually think Bosingwa is much better than Malouda these days, even if he tends to suck much of the time too!

i want these times to come back :(

Is Malouda still patchy? Or is he pretty much poor whenever he plays now? Haven't seen a lot of Chelsea at all this season for some reason

Oh the horror :( He's not horrible, it's mostly that he's ineffective, to the extent that it feels like we're using 10 players at times. And you're not missing out on much by not seeing Chelsea this season, they had some great, great games - but the majority of their games have been absoluuuuuuuutely dull.

it's going to be a tough game for bayern. hamburg isn't going to do the same mistake a second time. they definitely learned from the dortmund game.

In other news you'll all be pleased to hear that i'm now in the top 5 for the neogaf fantasy football league & before anybody asks, no Rio Ferdinand isn't one of my defenders.

I'd be delighted if United's media was as slick and comprehensive as City's seems to be.

They did put this out, which is interesting - but it's basically straight up promotion, and they don't have the stream of stuff that City are putting out.

I wouldn't even mind paying like £20 a season for City's online videos.

60 second match highlights, extended highlights, interviews, features, behind the scenes, inside city, reserve game streams and highlights.

I'd gladly pay a sum of money for all that and help the club's revenue!

Why is the arsenal game at 1 if its not on TV, not as if tottenham are playing at home today as well

It's to do with a tube closure.

Did I mention we signed Martin Olssons twin brother. I want both of them to play against Uniteds twins for the comedy effect.

City are a relatively young club in their current form, they still have to cater for the locals really, i.e. lots of free stuff. l'm sure if they ever do get a wider fan base in the UK and crack the foreign markets you'll be paying soon enough.

A good bet today could be all teams to score! Sky Bet give 16-1 on that. And looking at the fixtures, it's not unrealistic.

Not to encourage anyone, but you'd get much better odds if you placed individual bets on both teams to score as a 7 fold accumulator.
