Just phoned my GameStop, they don't intend to sell any official Sony stuff until the 15th. I had better not lose my 32GB card and Starter Kit reservation that have been paid in full.

Strange. Gamestop in Canada has been selling games since last Thursday. I have Uncharted, Wipeout and HSG already.

It's an awesome portable game. If you dig Golf at all, you'll love it.

I hate golf and golf sims....Take a guess what one of my favorite psp IP's is.

I was kind of disappointed with the IQ of the game when i got some hands on with it but all the things I love about the game was there so this def day -7 for me!

Well, I haven't received a call to get any of my stuff yet. Do I really want to pick up boxes that I'll have to stare at for a week?

Or you sleep with them. rub your....nevermind.

Anyway, I called my GS and they said they haven't gotten the games in yet, but they will this week.

The online site has the Sony titles for sale right now.

I think traditionally Hot Shots is a series that doesn't drop in price much, certainly not in the launch period. I remember this being an issue for HSG on the PS3 -- no real sales for a long time. I think it's largely due to the fact that it's a game people really hang onto since you can really play it forever.

I would probably buy it just for the asynchronous multiplayer games we're bound to have on here.

Yup, exactly. I am looking forward to it.

That's why I pre-ordered on Amazon/US. They have it for $29.99 while MSRP is $39.99.

Dammit, I caved :S! Looks like I'm spending about $450 for launch now.

You guys are making me want to grab Hot Shots at launch :S I must resist and wait for the sales.
I've never been a fan of Hot Shots Golf. Try a demo first before you buy it if you're even a slight bit skeptical. However if they ever release Hot Shots Tennis for the Vita, buy it day one no questions asked.

Densha de Go!?

I had to google that and was all what the tits is this. Train simulators ftw

Im getting the FEB and obviously HSG and decided on virtual tennis as well does anyone know what the PSN size of these titles are?

with the lovely discussion on the UMD program in the US (well lack of) id like to get these through psn and was hoping i can squeeze the 2 of them on the 4gb card with bundle.

They are actually very fun games, even on PSP! The PSX versions had dedicated controllers which of course made it a lot better.. but the PSP games were very solid.

Is there anyone thats been down to get Modnation Racers that can confirm if it has an online pass or not? It's $30USD(27AUD) in America and $60AUD(65USD) in Australia so wanting to import...

The unboxing showed nothing else in the case but I was reading an article that said it did have an online pass..

Doesn't have online pass because it has no online at all. That's how Sony trolls us.

edit: forgot to mention that the developers stated that they are looking into patching online in, but we all know that won't happen.

I'm actually kind of addicted to the demo on the PS3. My PS3's disk drive died on me about a month ago so I decided to download the Hot Shots Golf and Ridge Racer 7 demos. It was my first time playing either game and now I'm addicted. lol. It's sad to hear that Ridge Racer Vita is such crap though, I was looking forward to it.

Do I have to download the 100GBs of patches to play the Hot Shots PS3 demo?

edit - nevermind, you can skip patches IIRC

Oh, then by all means ;p. I was just trying to add a counter-opinion to the tidal wave of HSG hype. I fell for the hype and was slightly burned.

In anticipation for the Vita release I've decided to have a little game clear out. Assuming the iOS HMV app is right then I should have enough store credit for a couple more Vita games.

Now at

Uncharted
Fifa
Virtua Tennis (Still may trade in)
Everybody's Golf/Hot Shots
Wipeout/F1 2011/Shinobido/Ninja Gaiden/PSN card

I am a tad undecided on the last one lol. I'm never very good at Wipeout so I don't think I will enjoy it that much.

Damn you guys, just added Hot Shots to my Amazon order. I'm not familiar with the series but it sounds like a good portable game. I think I'll wait on Rayman instead, but only because I just played the crap out of the PS3 version.

Wipeout 2048
Uncharted GA
Hot Shots WI
Top Darts
Super Stardust...

Better stop there.

Heh i've actually never played a Everybody's Golf game before, but planning on buying it from PSN :)

I guess Sony is relying on Taco Bell to advertise the Vita? No hype build up what so ever from SCEA a week from launch. Do they want a repeat of the PSP in the US? Logically no, but their action (or inaction in this case) betray that notion.

I would honestly urge people to get Virtua Tennis VITA even if you've already got the PS3/360 version because it plays differently in my opinion. It's such an amazing game and the perfect portable game honestly.. I've already put like 100+ hours into it and thats with the NON English version. It's so addictive because its the first tennis game that doesn't feel stripped back in any way.

Maybe a silly question and sorry if it's been answered before - I'm just looking on clarification on what PSP games will be available on the Vita's PSN store? Is this public yet? Someone in the old thread had mentioned just because it's on the PSP PSN store, it may not be available on Vita...

I only made up my mind on picking this up over the last week or two, and have been trying to catch up on all the minor details. Really looking forward to catching up on some games I had missed, and was hoping there may be a list to refer to.

Wipeout should have a demo, and there's one for Ninja Gaiden on the PS3 at least. :p

Fuck. This might be a launch day impulse buy. It's getting some great reviews. That create a character video got me excited too.

Hail to the KING baby
I'm betting the game will be 25% to 33% off by launch and if not, within the first 30 days. In fact it's already 25% off at Amazon.

yeah i that's where i got it. i was referring to post-launch pricedrop from launch price though. that's just my experience with a couple HSG titles though. *shrug*

Yeah.. Like it's sort of hard to sell to people because its a tennis game and everybody knows what to expect from a tennis game but it really is the most addictive tennis game i've ever played due to the fact that it looks and runs amazing and in my opinion this is the game you should get for when you want to pickup your vita and have a play for 10-15 minutes.

Already got the plat for it and its the first game out of about 70 PS3 titles that i've owned that I can say this about :p

The presumption that there is a Wipeout demo is exactly why it is still in the running. I am hoping my Vita arrives a day early from Amazon so I get a chance to check out the demos first.

I've played a little Ninja Gaiden on PS3 that one depends on the price, I don't think it's worth £30+

Is the platinum hard? I've got it in my Amazon pre-order bundle and I am really interested in it. I plan on trying it for a couple of days before deciding whether or not to keep it but I may just squeeze all the trophies I can out of it on launch day :p

All games with DDL versions excluding the Phantasy Star Portable series should be available.

Awesome, thanks! I have my game pre-ordered, system pre-ordered, memory card purchased - now I just need to get a nice large PSN card for PSP games, and a screen protector and I'll be all set.

when is the PSN Vita store going to go up. I have my import HK Vita and want to buy more games.

btw, everytime I tried to go to US Vita store, I got the message PSN Vita store is not available in your region. that's because it simply not up yet right? not some IP region locked thing?

I think Yoshida said it should be the 14th. I'll try and find the tweet.

and that is correct, it isn't up yet.

EDIt: Yosps exact tweet was "I cannot tell the exact date, but will certainly up on the 15th, if not earlier."

I actually look forward to going to bed each night knowing when I wake up, it's one day closer. It's not actually easy to go to sleep after reading so much about it. Gah.

So I dont have a PS3, or PSP, but I am picking up a Vita on launch day.
I know the Vita uses a different content manager than what everyone is used to, but the old one has access to PSN store, so if I buy Monster Hunter FU, and Star Wars BattleFront 2(is it actually any good on PSP?) Resistance retribution and a few demos on Media Go, does that download the game to my PC, and then when I get my Vita I can just send from PC to Vita, via the new content manager. Does it work like that?

Why are some of you (who don't have the Vita yet) insist on buying the games and memory cards now? There's a good likelihood that many retailers will offer deals as launch nears. What, are you all going to make unboxing videos? lol

But whatever, wouldn't want to tell people how they should spend their money here. oooooh.
