Indeed. But given all the bullshit we've seen posted today, I'm going to remain cautious until the moment the red hot awesome is spilling out of my monitor, or is at least confirmed to be incoming.

I do understand embargoes, but man, it sucks when it's something that's really important to how you spend your leisure time.

A press embargo on PBS's next daytime cartoon? No biggie. What's happening today? SUCKS.

I just used the good old "process of elimination".

Fable 4 is very unlikely due to the Kinect Fable under development at lionhead
Forza 4 would be too soon and likely a Xbox720/Durango Title
Gears 4 will likely be on the Unreal 4 engine and thats Expected with the Xbox720/Durango

The Only 1st party retail title remaining is Halo i think, Couple that with the multiple magazines saying "halo 4 next issue" and the recent build up surrounding the series and its looking pretty likely.

I realize that many signs are pointing to the game being there and revealed in some capacity on Monday. I'm not dense*, just ratcheting my personal expectations down so as to maximize happy surprise time and minimize dissapointon. That's all.










*I often actually am dense, just not in this particular case.

Wow, that's really fucking sucky to say the least, I cannot believe they would do that so last minute. I can't imagine how many people they just screwed over. Hopefully EA will find a way to patch things up for the people who preordered at game.

I'm in the same boat, I want it to be there at the spring showcase, and while it seems it is I'm not expecting it. Still wont ease the excitement or the possible let down though, but that's just because I want to see this game.

I wonder if they will delve further into the covenant conflict on this new trilogy.

I think after reading Primordium that it's obvious the Flood will be in this trilogy, but I'd also like to see how all of the races struggle with humanity's new-found identity as a superior race.

If MS was going to be happy if Bungie use the H3 engine and assets for Reach, it could be same deal for Halo 4. Or was it that Bungie wanted out just as much as MS?

If it's the former, then MS is caring less and less about the franchise.

Speaking of which, wow, games lately are seriously nailing player investment systems. FIFA Street and Mass Effect 3 have really caught my eye. I really can't wait to see how 343i does it but also how Bungie will do it.

The Fifa demo was surprisingly good! You should really give it a go! I didnt personally bump into the player investment stuff though. Can you point me towards it Hydra?

There are leaderboards for the two matches available in the world tour mode. Trying to beat them is really fun but even if you lose, you just end up levelling your players. It's pretty cool that you can just draft your friends players into your own team. Not only that but they suggest friends for you to add and even go through a few degrees of separation. Emphasis really seems to be put on the social aspect of seeing familiar faces while you play.
