Did anyone else just see the commercial for Krysten Ritter's new show during the Academy Awards? They're interviewing her character's former roommates. At the end of the commercial, the last roommate was Bryan Cranston and he said she makes you want to kill her. Pretty funny end to that commercial and a nice Breaking Bad reference.

I'm very happy to hear that they're gonna reveal more
about Madrigal Electromotive (the company is based in Germany, and Hank briefly dealt with them this past season). They've had a subtle presence around the previous two seasons, so it's great to finally learn more about them.

But at the same,
I feel like they've already done the 'kill important guy, face the repercussions from a greater group' plot line.
Though I'm sure they're gonna do something to spice things up a bit.

I mean, there's no guarantee of anything, All Vince Gilligan said was that they filmed at least one scene in german. That said, Walt is going to go back to cooking meth (I hope this is obvious) and when he does I doubt he's going to be satisfied with another rinkydink Winnebago operation. Unfortunately for Walt, to go big time he's going to need a lot of equipment, the sort of big-time stuff he burned up in Gus' lab. Where on earth could he get that sort of equipment?

I NEED TO STOP READING SPOILERS.

For Season 4, I had Victor's death ruined, I knew we'd meet Max in a flashback, I knew Gus would go back to Mexico, I knew Jesse would get tazered by Gus' people during the finale, I knew Walt would try to blow Gus' car up, then I knew he would actually die, and that Walt poisoned Brock. All because of spoilers :( I think it might be why S3 > S4 for me, as I didn't have as many 'holy shit' moments...

The only thing I had spoiled for me was the final episode, with the face-off picture that was floating around. Sorry about what I said about season 5 btw, I've spoiler tagged it now.

It was the Crawl Space episode that made the season 4 thread explode. It tripled in size after that.

I noticed Season 1 threads typically don't do that well for most shows. Interesting stuff!

Dude.
Why can't you control yourself? :(

I'm super LTTP with Breaking Bad, but I just finished season four last night. Holy shit. Any word on the release date for season four? I know about the region four thing, but has there been any new developments? And when is season five supposed to air?

Season four will probably be released on dvd/blu-ray a couple weeks before the first half of S5 begins airing this Summer.

Possible season 5 episode 1 script leak? Whadda think Gaf? Massive spoilers.

If thats not legit then they need to hire whomever wrote that.

Yeahhh that's fake. and actually pretty bad to be honest, I can't get through to see the plot but everything is laid on so thick. Spoiler tags just in case.
There needs to be direction for RJ Mitte to wink at the camera as he does the scene about going into the "family business"

That "high noon" line was pretty cringeworthy BECAUSE BREAKING BAD IS A WESTERN U GUISE, GET IT?

I made it 10 pages in, that's enough for me.

I finally got around to watching the series up to now. I've really missed out! Great series, best one i've seen in a really long time. One thing i didnt like though that i was fed the same basic plot twice. I feel the 4th season should have been the last one(of course the episodes should be different in a way that gives closure), but the show was so consistently good that i kinda trust them with the 5th one. There are still many cool things going on.Maybe Walt gets drugged out again and finally tells Jesse he killed Jane and/or Brock.

Just finished the fourth season a day or two ago. Really good series, although I felt season four was somehow different from the previous seasons. I just can't put my finger on what it was.

Maybe it was the slower pace from episode two to the end of episode ten... Or maybe the more focused, overarching storyline that ran throughout the entire season. It seemed that season three had more smaller storylines going on around the characters, whereas season four was a little more focused on closing out the Gus story.

Definitely still one of my favourite shows regardless, and I can't wait to see what they do with season five.

Does anyone else hope that Jesse never finds out about Jane and Brock. One pet peeve I have with TV shows, is when they have these dramatic cards in the deck and then they play them whenever they need an episode with some quick drama/tension.

I respect shows who have those cards, but never choose to play them. Keep them as something that we know, and that creates depth for the viewers, and Walt. Think of other ways to create more jesse/walt drama if they wanna go that direction again.

Yeah, season 4 did feel bigger than previous seasons. And they closed Gus's story in marvelous fashion.

it's been too long in television time to bring Jane up again as the primarily source of drama or friction between the two characters and have it resonate as strongly with the audience as something a bit, well, more recent, might. I can't see them playing that card by itself next season.

That leaked script reads like it written by a 12 year old.

Why do people read it? I don't understand why people decide to spoil TV series for themselves like that. So many scenes in Breaking Bad would be less awesome if you knew they were going to happen before hand.

I read the first 5 pages, which would be ~5 minutes of show. it's not spoiling much. Especially because it's fake

People thought the Terminator-Gus was fake too though. I'm not looking at this script, so I believe people when they say it's fake, but I'm just pointing that out.

Poor self-restraint. If it seemed genuine I wouldn't have read it all.

Wow...that script. Some of the worst dialogue I've read in a while. Everything else is fine, even the story, but no way anyone on the BB writing team wrote that and said it was ready even as a first draft. Fake. And if it isn't....then wow.

Good shows don't do actually do this because it's a waste of time. Why go through the effort of setting up a major conflict, and then not have any payoff whatsoever, when you could just not set up in the first place?

Shaggy dog stories, aborted arcs, etc. are meant to be avoided.

It wouldn't be a waste of time, because Walt's plot on Brock did as much to set up his slow transformation into a Gus-like villainous schemer as it would do to dramatically fracture his relationship with Jesse. Except by keeping the secret a secret, it leaves his decision morally gray - after all, it did save his and Jesse's life.

The instant gratification of a karmic backlash would remove that ambiguity. Plus it's not like the show ever played by television's "rules" anyway.

I saw terminator gus when it first came out and I thought it looked sort of fake? because he was wearing an ugly suit and there was no context in the show for it.

This is just, really bad and extremely fake.
