I really don't want to be a collector/completionist in those times. Between all the 3DS goodies with the AR functionalities, the Wii U NFC, etc, i bet there will be tons of stuff to gather.

In before 6000 Big N things featuring NFC, to the Happy Meal toys to stuffed pokemon, small figurines, etc.

They're smart enough to wait and see if the reboot is well received before making another entry to soon. Not to mention, if the game does well they're gonna want Sakurai to head the next one but the dude's busy.
