I don't see the outrage with post launch reasonably priced dlc.
They should have at least not called the second game "Ultimate" then.
I love that tagline
I ask again, why the hell do folks still support this shithole of a company.
Would people be outraged if a significant DLC update for $15 was released almost nine months after the release of, say, an RPG? Why is this so bad?
Because it fragments the online community.
Hope that helps.
UMvC3 is the best fighter they've made in this generation so far. That's not saying much though. SFxT is still unproven.Because they make good games.
Well, MVC is a bad example.
People were outraged with AE because it completely fucked the balance. Don't think it's an exaggeration to say that that update knocked the wind out of SF4's sails, even now that 2012 has managed to correct that.Would people be outraged if a significant DLC update for $15 was released almost nine months after the release of, say, an RPG? Why is this so bad? I'd understand if it was a disc only update.
In fact, were people this outraged about AE?

Why are you acting like AE did this? Characters are probably on the disk anyway...
It punishes the people who buy the game on day one or preorder, above everybody else.
What does that have to do with anything? Read the post above.

You said it fragmented the community when chances are everyone who owns UMVC will still be able to play together.
Whatever happened to Capcom saying they wouldn't be pulling this stuff with fighting games this generation? There's a reason everyone got tired of Street Fighter 2 and why Marvel vs Capcom 2 was loved so much.
I'd be more inclined to believe this if it were coming in May, alongside the Avengers movie. July 3rd is the same week as the Spider-Man movie, but I'd think Marvel would line up the marketing with the one they have more involvement in.
Or the Capcom logo. Or the Marvel logo. Or any fine print.
Have to agree with those who find this fishy. Besides, didn't Capcpom say that one of the reason UMVC3 was released so early was because their licensing deal with marvel was only for that year?
Then if the rumor is true you can patch it when it comes out.Damn it, I JUST got UMVC3....
Because they might release a patch that will work with the disc you bought? This is the reason I will not buy SfxT
