I just saw this picture and it got me thinking, could you imagine the excitement if Perez was to win the WDC this year?

Just to cover my own back; obviously this is highly unlikely, but it's fun to think about these things. In fact regardless of all that, I love how genuinely happy Perez is with 2nd! I haven't seen anyone that elated in quite some time.

Won't win the title but may well impress in the same way Ayrton did in his second season.

So we're talking beards now? Fine.

Not to mention Ferrari's far superior rate of development. Sauber always lose ground as the season progresses and it'll be no different in 2012.

The development race is another reason I'm looking to see how Kimi fares because Renault hasn't been too great there recently, if they keep up it would be great to see the championship maintain in competitiveness.

That's because you are Alonso. How many times do we have to tell you!

If you don't have this for Spa Orgun, I will be extremely disappointed.

I can't do it man, it just won't grow that thick. Can't compare to Mansell. I'll have to get a stick on one

I finally finished reading through 17 pages of posts! I have to do a "blackout" so that's why you didn't see me posting during the race.

I totally screwed up on the F1RaceManager. I forgot to save my changes on Friday but little did I know it actually helped me! I had/have Kovaleinen & Petrov as my drivers but was fortunate enough to have the Williams for my chassis and engine and Shell for my fuel supplier. So now I have a little bit of money banked away as I haven't made any changes.

A couple questions about F1RM though. How does the site calculate and determine points/money? Is there a bonus question each week?

From the FAQ:

How much points does a driver, chassis, etc. score in this game?
Your two drivers, chassis, engine and fuel supplier score points based on the results of both Qualifying and the Race.
Every point you score will get you an extra ten thousand playing money.

Please study the following scoring table:

What are Bonus Questions?
In between Formula 1 weekends we present you with a multiple choice question. You'll have a few days to answer. If your answer is correct, you will receive extra money to improve your team.

What are Bets?
Before each race weekend you can bet on who will reach pole position, who will win the race, who will drop out first, etc. For each correct prediction you will receive 600.000 playing money to improve your team.

Stop shitting on my team. Start shitting on my finger.
Hey guys, just stopping by, but... how did you guys survive the "all sports threads are now community" move and are still in OT?!?

Hey guys/gals, I didn't want to do this as I wanted to keep it a surprise, but...

The basic design brief is this. The website will primarily feature motorsports, interesting engineering feats of past & present etc. I like the chain link logo as when it is layered & overlapped it looks like racetracks. I also think that down the line it presents itself well to branding ie stickers, tshirts etc.

This is the colour combo I like best as the site needs a bit of flair which is the red but also the blue as the blue/grey is that technical bit.

Then here are some other possibilities but none of them look that great:

Any help or opinions would be amazing!

I don't really like the t shirt design as it is, but that logo is the sex, just awesome!! I think I like the idea of the tshirt design, but something is just off a bit for me. I have no design skills at all, so ignore me at will! :)

if they really must replace massa in season Sutil would be a good choice i think.
plenty of experience and good pace. at the end of the season they can maybe look at Perez and decide where they want to go from there.
Trulli maybe? Keep the home crowd happy with an Italian-trueblood, half-decent driver with a win or two under his belt, experience, talent (but not enough to truly (ahaha) challenge Alonso)... perfect fit IMO.

Yes! *fistpump*

Fake edit: mblitek, that looks like a good scheme! I don't recall whether it's changed much since you PMed me a while back, but it definitely seems a bit more modest. Nice work! FWIW, I hope some of those comments I sent you helped in at least the smallest way... otherwise that massive wall of text would've been a colossal waste of your time :(

Twitter rumours has it that Massa has been testing new Car parts for the first two races of the season, which could explain his poor form.

Im not sure this is any better, cause it will just show that he is Alonsos bitch.

Fantastic job. Well done, mblitek. Well done. /Horner

I'd keep the other color combos for other sections or specific topics.

Pérez confident that win will come soon
“The target is to keep improving our overall performance and the car,” Pérez said in Dallas on Monday, where he was passing through for a connecting flight to Mexico from Kuala Lumpur. “We have to push hard and, of course, we have to stay realistic. Although the pace in the race was good, we should not forget that this result came after a very special race in extraordinary conditions.

“Ultimately I always wanted to win races and I strongly believe my first win in Formula 1 will come sooner or later - in an ideal world it will happen this year.”

This guy keeps on impressing and is really overshadowing Kamui.

It would be great to see some Mexican success in F1.
