Naruto was kinda shit. It's like Kishi is rolling a dice to decide how to write Sasuke. That flashback was awful too.
Bleach was decent. Even though the retcon felt forced, he managed to create the feeling that at least the people in Soul Society cared about that guy.
One Piece was great. Very cool, albeit short fight. Law was such a badass in this chapter

This is what I liked. I take it Kubo knows that virtually no reader cared about the dude, so he at least had the sense to make us see that the captain commander (and even Byakuya) recognized him.

comparing someone who had a bankai for a thousand years, potentially being the 2 or 3rd bankai user in the Gotei 13 to someone who has a bankai for 50 years, is slightly disingenuous.
ikkaku might not want to advance his position, but he certainly wants to be stronger. you'd think someone as loyal as mr. manservant would want to be able to do his job better and help the commander.

Yeah. I'm known to give Kubo and his fans a lot of shit but he managed to write himself pretty well out of that hole. Also, Pesche Guatiche, the best character in Bleach, is back!
I believe the movies have tainted me. I actually don't know how magnus works in the comics.

Reading this shitty Sasuke fight, I can't help but get the feeling that Kabuto is just a dead man walking. When they go out of their way to have the villain be arrogant about all his powers, he always just gets killed.

How is the arc taking place in Hueco Mundo worst than FullBringer arc?
Just give Sasuke a chance, Kishimoto is bringing him around.
1. Shittier battles
2. It was massively longer
3. The pacing was terrible
4. The character development sucked
5. Buildings made completely out shadow-less lines on white paper
6. Stupid character designs
Fullbringer arc had these issues too but much more condensed, and controlled. Fullbringer arc had the worst closure of the two, but Hueco Mundo was the worse arc.
I agree with everything except the character designs, there were good ones like...........no wait you're right. The vast majority of the Arrancars look like crap.

Fights with DF users aren't just about who's stronger. If someone with proper brains and drive had the fruit Foxxy, a throwaway character from the early days had, they'd be nigh unstoppable.

Again, I dont mean to be a Bleach apologist, but I have to disagree. Battles in Hueco Mundo were just as epic as the concluding ones in the first arc, Ichigo v Grimmjow, Ulquiorra v Ichigo, Uryu v Cirucci Sanderwicci (we got Seele Schneider), Uryu + Renji v Szayel Aporro, Rukia v Aaroniero Arruruerie. Pacing was fitting for the contents and actually giving time to actually emotionally develop Ichigo, Ulquiorra, Inoue, and establish the setting. Environmental modeling enhanced the battle visuals so Kubo's artistry for it was stylish not a flaw as you make it out.
Character designs were actually good, without the birth of Hueco Mundo we would miss having characters such as Grimmjow, Ulquiorra, Kaien, Szayel, Tesra Lindocruz, and Ggio Vega.
This arc made me a fan of the series, honestly.

This seems fun. Maybe not on the level of Esprit, but it is refreshing to see a dude that goes on about some crazy justice without ever actually killing anyone.
That's where Kubo gets them. It's some parallel universe thing.
