Every time I refresh the page the number keeps dropping.

Edit: Now it's going up. It's like a yo-yo. Stop playing with my emotions!

Whoa! Someone donated 5K$! What a kind person! Glad to see this coming to PC and Vita, going to play the heck out of it.

It will be ~24K charge. Not too shabby.

5% for Kickstarter, Amazon payment, and Kicking it forward.

Only 10%/15k, the kicking it forward is only after they have released the game and assuming have made a profit from the game. So they only need to hit 165k to get 150k total after the 10%.

The 5,000 tier is still at 0, but there's 3 at the 2,500 tier. Would be hilarious if your commanding officers become Tretton, Yoshida, and Hirai. :)

Hah, I just noticed that the $10,000 pledge requires you to pony up +$15 per additional copy of the game on a different platform you want.

Ok guys, now the big question since this has been funded.

What gameplay features are you interested in seeing in this?

I have a ton of ideas, but i'm alittle busy at the moment, but I thought now that we "know" it's coming it might be a good time to talk about what we would want from the gameplay/features/ and overall package. Since they are still in prototyping I'm guessing that all the features have not been quite nailed down yet.

Honestly? On an emotional level, I want this game to be the one that revives the genre. I'd have to spend some time thinking about what new features/gameplay I'd want SI to bring to the table.

I'm so jubilant right now. I stopped checking it an hour and a half before it ended because I didn't want to see it fail. But now...I hope the high level backers that stepped in at the end were serious about contributing. I'd hate for any controversy to emerge after this wonderful surprise.

Now we just need to get Cross of the Dutchman to get funded:

Yes.

Myself, I've always wanted the stations and capital ships that you dock with to be actual levels/maps to walk around in 3rd/1st person instead of static screens with click-able icons. Even if it's only a few rooms connected by corridor and/or an elevator, to be able to wander between my bunk and the bar or my ship and CIC (or whatever the equivalent is for this game's plot) would add to the experience for me.

-Ace Combat control solution to appeal to a broader range of gamers ("casual" controls and "hardcore" controls).
-Co-op campaign.
-Ability to look around in the cockpit.

From their last update:

And we had to hit some records today - I've heard (unconfirmed) that we were the 11th highest funded Kickstarter in the history of the site, and that's without even being a staff pick for one day!

"Congratulations!

Thanks to you and 3722 other backers, Starlight Inception has been successfully funded. Amazon will now charge your credit card."

Me: "whaaaaaaaat?"

Really amazing, I was completely sure it wouldn't make it. Really happy for the team.

Now make us a great game!

I like it. I'd like the player character to have a strong story rather than be a faceless drone.

It actually made it? Wow. I´m very sceptical of this project, doing this kind of game for both PC and Vita for that kind of money, but I guess this ride was fun for the backers.

After crying myself to sleep, thinking Space Shooters were dead and buried, I woke up to this ultimate Starlight Inception update and couldn't believe my eyes.

We really made it!

Next stop: Colony Wars HD!!! ;)

I'm convinced that I have the superpower that any project I get pledge to get funded, this and Nekro looked fucking dead then pulled it out at the last moment.

If it is half as good as Freespace or Tie Fighter and better than Darkstar One I'll be happy ;)
