Got a Vita just now for my birthday.

No games for now, but I'm really excited to check the system out.

Do you guys recommend any screen protectors? I feel uncomfortable just touching the thing.

I am awful at screen protectors...I failed on the ds twice, the 3ds im 0 for 3 the psp im 0 for 2 the hori went on without a hitch, the screen still responsive and i took a nice look today and that protector is dirty as hell so it def saved me. They also available at gamestops now so if you by there you can get one there. Just watch a youtube vid (theres a hundred of them) if you dont understand the instructions cause they Japanese and it is alot easier

Hori Screen Protector is awesome. There's also an Amazon $0.79 case that's great. Go for those things!

These are the definite recommended accessories.
I also got the Mad Catz cheapo plastic hard shell for bumps and bruises on a day to day basis. Cost 13 bucks at gamestop.

me either thats why I recommend this thing so hard. Its amazing HORI the only place that figured out ppl have problems putting these things on and actually made a way for morons like me to do it without a hitch.


Its stupid easy and very effective.....My gf came home with 2 cause shes seen my rage at the other 3 handhelds and wanted to gimme a backup when i inevitably screw up the first (which wouldnt of helped as I screwed up more then 2 at 1 clip before). but for the total cost for the Vita, and me not being rich, she really wanted to help me protect this thing....I still have the second!!

Yesterday I downloaded a new 75 megabyte patch for Uncharted Golden Abyss. The summary of the changes says that now PSN connection is kept during play sessions.

What does this mean? Has anyone downloaded it? Does Party now works while playing?

I see a lot of love for the hori screen protectors, but what exactly makes them so good? I put on the official sony one that came with the starter kit and have no problems with it. Is the hori one better quality or easier to put on or something?

So i skip out of a game and try to open the browser, Vita wants to close my game, fuck you, i'm trying to look stuff up!
But i can skip out of a game, fire up the twitter app, click on a link in it and the browser opens up ok without needing to close the game.

Fix this shit Sony!
edit: And fix having to close my game to watch a video. There should be no need for that either.

When opening the browser from twitter it has much less memory to play with. If you try opening a heavy page it'll just tell you to close the game to improve the browsing.

After updating, my Vita always freezes when I try to "unlock" it. What the fuck.
That means I need to restart the device everytime I want to play. What the fuck.

I have, I think the problem is one of the rubber bases has expanded (maybe due to heat?) i don't live in a really hot country though LOL :/

EDIT: PROBLEM SOLVED, had the rubber bases the wrong way around haha... Such a div.

I don't think it was ever confirmed to be that date. If I'm not mistaken, Sony has never announced the release date for it.

The concept always interested me but I never picked it up because there were other higher rated games. I will pick it up sooner rather than later though I think. I bought too many games that are rehash of games I already have on the PS3/PSP.

its very repetitious so its better to play in small bursts. It definitely has its flaws but i enjoy playing a few levels on the train to work and back. Its something different, it seems I agree with most reviews. Replayability is probably pretty low, but its a fun game. If you can get it for under $20 i think its well worth it.

Been playing with the Vita, still no games, but downloaded the Uncharted demo and it looks beautiful. Also been playing Dissidia 012. Feels like a completely new game (a much better and more playable one) with the second analog stick and larger screen size.

A few questions:
-Is it possible to text chat in the Skype app? I only seem to be able to do video and phone calls.
-Is the Netflix app sort of laggy/buggy to anyone else?

Normally I could use it on my Vita since IT IS A PSVITA avatar. It seems I can't, because you need a PS3 to get it and select it and I don't have a PS3.

It's a SCEJ-video-show..
Last time it were about two hours with new game-reveals, and footage from games in developement, aswell as short interviews with developers. Both from Sony and third party partners.
Pretty interesting show,with mainly japaneese games.
No certainty that it will be localised.

Well they said themselves that they took the feedback from the last one to heart: http://andriasang.com/con09h/game_heaven/, and are making changes accordingly, so since they have only done one, and some cool things came out of that one despite the format being crap, i'm willing to give them some rope. Of course if this one in June rolls around, and it turns out they have learned nothing, then i'm not sure what the point of SCEJ is anymore.

SS,Super Robot Wars, and PSO2 were solid announcements from the last one imo, more of that and less rehasing stuff that we already know about like Persona 4G, and Metal Gear.

No chat support yet. They're working on it though.

But the Japanese audience does not give a crap about western games....so why would they do that? I really don't think they would have a game heaven event focused on western games, and I doubt we are going to get japanese focused announcements at E3

Could be the game Patcher seemed excited for....I don't want make predictions though as i'll just be disappointed when the game is not them. If it is big though, I just hope it's good.....and an RPG.
