Kojima isn't even involved with the plot.
This NEEDS to make this year. Seriously if this gets pushed back I have nothing to look forward to, NOTHING
Every time I think 'new Platinum game' I'm like
Then I think 'with Kojima plot' and I'm like D:

I know this is a spin-off, but do we know if it is regarded in the main canon?
I personally hope not.
"We've only said that the period setting is several years after MGS4. Metal Gear Rising is not part of the Metal Gear Solid series. At present, we can't say more than this."
Floex said:I have no idea how far along in development they are but if, this is a big if, they can get it out before the silly season, ideally an end of August release date would suit it fine.
Another new bit of concept art from the teaser site:

I'd say mid October. That's if it is even coming out this year. Platinum took over near the beginning of 2011, so their version has been in development for just under a year and a half. Then again I do remember Kojima saying that Platinum are working their asses off on it.
Man, I'm really bummed that the PC version got canceled when PD took over.
Kojima is currently checking the E3 demo.
I bet this was drawn by Sunny.
Yeah, that sucks, since the previous 'version' of Rising was going to be for PC I was hoping this would finally be the game that got Platinum Games over to PC.
Might as well just put "game of the year" on the box from the get go.
That just reminded me of Game of the Year editions which in turn reminded me of how Bayonetta was essentially an Ultimate Edition in itself. Everything DLC-esque was crammed on that disc from the get go. Truly a phenomenal package and a real shame that 99% of devs don't have the balls to do that anymore and give fans a complete package.
Which leads me to wonder if Platinum Games will do the same with Metal Gear Rising? Or will Konami push for a product with DLC.

So excited ahhhhhhh. As long as Raiden gets cute alt outfits like Bayonetta.
Also lol that arm. Someone call Triforce.
Hope they got rid of Raidens heels.
ruined the MGS4 design for me.
Robocop!
I hope he got bigger heels. And a skin tight black suit. And a sex change. And this is actually Bayonetta 2 .
What? I thought we agreed on total body prostheses, now lose the arm ok.
Kojima is currently checking the E3 demo.

This and Devil's Third are the only reasons I'm even paying attention to E3 this year.
