Really glad that AC3 seems to be pulling combat from Batman. That was desperately needed.

FC3... Guy took an arrow from a composite bow to the gut and got over it in 1.2 seconds. Attacked by a baby tiger. In general looks like shit.

Pretty good conference, they seem to be steadily improving throughout the day.

Farcry 3 looks damn good, really hope they keep what worked so well in FC2 and fix what didn’t.
Assassins creed 3 still does nothing for me. The idea of an assassination based game in historical settings sounds fantastic, but they all seem too one-man-army badass action crap.
Watch Dogs was a big surprise, still don’t know much about it but damn that was a nice demo even with the firefight at the end.

Assuming there isn't excessive scripting, I'd like it if you would have to choose your cover better. I don't like the idea of being a 'hero' that uses cover that gets innocent bystanders shot to bits.

Choice like that would make for a much more interesting game, and I think the promise is there with the options you get for your little Hack Everything Device (tm)

Definitely. Opened with some grade A Ubisoft cheese which I love personally
Then it went into killer game after killer game and ended with a spectacular reveal.

It had the best of both worlds.

Watch Dogs has me extremely hyped. It sort of makes me think of an adventure game...

Best show by a an old french country mile. Farcry and Watch_dogs were simply amazing, AC3 was much better than I expected, Rayman is still a beauty and ZombiU at least with an original setting.

A- because of the sometimes annoying presentation (YT guy sucked).

But they were clearly only pretending to be playing all the games live anyway, so it only makes sense to assume they were all "running" on PCs.

Assassin's Creed 3
- Technical fuckup when they rolled the video twice
- Looked spectacular
- I love what they've done with nature traversal
- I love the idea of there being animal enemies
- Combat seems better than ever
- I like the "quests" being added
- Iceberg scene looked unbelievable
- Just totally gorgeous all around.

Shootmania
- Wayyyy too long introduction and setup
- I appreciate that they're trying to do the eSports thing, but I'm not into it.
- It did look fairly robust
- I like the idea that you can set up different game types.

Watch_Dogs
- Audio fuckup
- WOW
- Looked unbelievable
- Great gameplay concept
- Love the multiple characters
- Love the Assassin's Creed style vaguely historical conspiracy nonsense.
- Even if it's swiped from Person of Interest, I love the central conceit of controlling information
- Spectacular presentation
- I loved the tension and release, something sorely lacking from all the bombastic shooters earlier on in the day.

Hosts
- The woman had better stage presence than anyone else at any conference today.
- The internet geek guy added nothing, and I'm not sure why Ubisoft got him. They didn't need a second host, that woman carried the day no problem

9/10 -- It's hard to believe that Ubisoft sets the standard for variety and quality of gameplay and presentation.
