I'll say it because no one wants to say anything negative about games that otherwise look great. Watchdog and Last of Us aren't nearly as experimental or different from other huge established series as this is. They're still the similar type of almost-shooter action/adventure game that you've seen with the better blockbuster titles last gen. They're as close as you can get to "the more of the same" without having people on NeoGAF react in such a way. I remember seeing a post on NeoGAF lament that no big companies really try to challenge Zelda in the action-adventure genre anymore, and it's pretty obvious why.

Because they wanted Bayonetta 2, surprise on that. The point that people are unhappy with this game has nothing to do with it being a new IP but the shit artstyle, low graphics, and not looking like a character action game(this is the main one). If Kamiya had announced a AAA character action game that was a new IP and looked like something that had a budget, a very low number of people, certainly smaller anyway, would be complaining about B2 being cancelled.

People might have bought a GC for the Capcom 5. Some definitely bought a PS1 and PS2 for Resident Evil 2 and Devil May Cry. Bayonetta sold what a million units? A Kamiya game might help push Wii U. Do you honestly think people are going to go out and buy one for this? That's what I mean by a waste of resources.

Powerstone is the first thing that came to mind for me too, probably the music and colors. Can't tell yet how the combat will be, but it looks awesome.

It was better to showcase a Nintendoland minigame.
Maybe it shows how "confident" NoA is of the game. Just like with Xenoblade! They don't seem to like Japanese-looking games much.

This game concept reminds me of that episode of Power Puff Girls where the civilians all learn how to fight villains without super powers.

Um, I hadn't heard anything about this game, but I just watched the live demo on Gamespot and was VERY impressed. Love the aesthetic and the innovative gameplay.

Looks nice, has a Viewtiful Joe vibe mixed with Katamari Damacy and Pikmin.
Though, when I heard P-100 and Platinum Games...P.N.03 sequel (of sorts) came to mind!! :O!!!
Then remembered that Capcom still owns P.N.03.
Not to mention the brains behind that outfit (Mikami) isn't even at P*.
Judging from that short video it has actions, but it's kind of a thing of its own, but it seems that you align the characters you rescued to morph them into different shapes for different moves and abilities to fight enemies, making circle makes a punch, straight line makes a sword and there are launchers and stuff, kind of reminds me of okami in some ways.
Haven't watched much though, I keep missing the streams
